My sister was there not even 24 hours for rehab. The staff who "assisted" putting her in bed were extremely rough with her, and would not listen to her when she tried to tell them the best way to move her, nor would they let her help in moving herself in any way. She ended up with a large bruise on her leg because they were so rough. The night CNA threatened her with her fists when my sister put her call light on, then closed the door so that my sister was in complete darkness, feeling isolated. She had no pain medication since she had been at the hospital the day before, and she was in extreme pain. The nurse decided to send her back to the hospital for pain control. (This was the only good thing.) When my son went to pick up her things before she left for the hospital, he found my sister sobbing because she had laid in urine for over an hour since no one answered her call light. My son went to the desk and asked for help, and he was told that they were in the middle of a shift change and she would have to wait. If this is how they "cared" for my sister in less than 24 hours, how are they treating other patients/residents? This place needs to get owners and staff who actually are wanting to take care of people, not just so they can get a paycheck. I wouldn't recommend vermin to go to Sherbrooke Village.

Since MGM took over the quality has declined. No hair care is provided, and meals have become very small. The person responsible for arranging transportation is snotty and never sets things up. We never go out for field trips or shopping any more.When I first came here, things actually got done; now, not so much. I would have looked around harder knowing what I now know. Since I've been here I've spent over $300,000. and I don't feel I've gotten my money's worth.

Update to this review: There are new owners, MGM HEALTHCARE. Many of the competent friendly staff are gone, either fired or left for better employment. Staffing is being cut. That being said, I am optimistic that everything will be stable and back to offering the care we expect for our family member within the next couple of weeks. My family member has been a resident of Sherbrooke Memory Care for three months. The facility is clean, bright and home-like and the staff are friendly and caring with very few exceptions. For me it's the little things that are attended to so well and expediently: call-light response is very quick; meals are appealing; activities are engaging and appropriate for residents' mental, social, physical and spiritual needs; (activity facilitator is a "gem"); toileting, hygiene and laundry are completed in a timely manner and with care; speech, OT, & PT are available in-house; medical needs/questions have been addressed quickly and communication between nurse, PCP, and family has been good, with only one concern which was addressed satisfactorily; nurse has offered to educate family more on characteristics of dementia. It is difficult to leave a loved one in others' care, but I find peace of mind at Sherbrooke.

My husband was in your establishment recently I got no training on how to handle my husband my husband is now at chestnut Rehab the nurses are nicer and they are more welcoming my husband is coming back hopefully things will be better nope not better they say he is agreesive

We attended a Christmas luncheon a week ago. The room was decorated and the food was very good. Staff treated us with conversations, smiles and made us feel very welcome. Stacy Long, food service manager, went above and beyond to accommodate us. This is an example of my experiences when often visiting my friend that has been in rehabilitation since October. Her PT, and OT's Laura, Leigh Ann, Tony, Stephen have been kind, caring and have addressed any concerns we have. Many other staff members who's jobs are not always glamorous and can be very trying have done the same.

I have been a resident at Sherbrooke Village for a little more than 2 years. I would like to say that the staff has been very helpful, attentive and pleasant. I hope all assisted living facilities are as good as Sherbrooke. Erin has been very helpful in assisting with my move from one room to another in the lodge.

Our mom was staying in Assisted Living temporarily. We found the staff to be friendly, helpful, patient and attentive. We communicated regularly with staff and they were knowledgeable about her status. We were pleased with the care she received.

We moved my mother into the memory care facility and couldn't be happier. The staff has been wonderful helping her adjust and the attention she is getting is wonderful. So many activities to keep her active and I truly believe she will improve here. Feel blessed to have her here.

My sister is currently here for rehabilitation from massive strokes. The staff is attentive, skilled and friendly. The facility is clean and the view from my sister's room is great. The other residents seem happy and friendly. My sister says the food is really good too! My mind is at ease knowing she's in good hands.

My 80 year old father was there for 21 days for rehab to strengthen his legs because he had fallen a couple of times. I picked him up today to take him home and he walks worse than when he went into the facility. If he was not in therapy he wasn't allowed to walk at all. He was sat in chair or wheelchair in an area the nurses could see him. I visited several times and when I went to ask nurses or staff about how he was doing their responses were very short and not really informative. I don't know if the facility was short staffed but I don't feel his visit there did him any good .

Mom reports that the food is good and she is happy. It was a difficult decision to put her into memory care, but Sherbrooke has come through for our family!

My dear mother has been very happy at your facility. Her nurses have been tender, kind, and respectful to her. The environment is positive. Basic room cleanliness/maintenance was good. The only disappointment was lack of showering. There should be a schedule for patients. There was always an excuse not to shower her until we begged. Otherwise, I would recommend your facility to others! Thank you for everything!

I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone with love one you care about. The nurses are rude and speak to you with an consenting attitude. The place is clean and nice The staff is not welcoming. If you asked a question you are talk to like they are doing you a favor. I spoke to the executive director and nothing changed. The people he has as nurses are the worst. Maybe he needs to do more to finding why people rates his facility so low. I hope my spouse get better soon or I will have to pay to have him transferred. Worst nurses staff ever!!!! They ignore you as love one as a person that is a bother when you ask a question.

My mom has just today been placed here. I had a sense of peace just walking in the door. The place is clean and doesn't even look like what I have known to be a "nursing home". The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. And my mom even enjoyed dinner....she always complains about foods. I am super pleased with this facility.

My visit with my sister was pleasant! The facility is nice and clean. The staff is friendly and professional! I am concerned about the decision to limit my sister's stay to 14 days when she has insurance coverage for up to 100 days? I have initiated an appeal of the discharge date with hopes the facility can assist my sister in regaining her strength.

My mom has been at the facility on Hospice for a month. She is declining every day and the staff has been wonderful. From the receptionist to the nursing staff, I have been pleasantly surprised with the professionalism of the staff. Nothing is perfect but they are doing their best to keep the staff and residents safe while allowing us to visit when we want. I am a former Nursing Home Administrator and know first hand whet it takes to run a first class facility. Well done Sherbrooke!!

Everyone is very kind and helpful. They worked with my dad thru his stubbornness. It's clean and smells good and isn't hot. Residents look well taken care of and there is a wonderful therapy room. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place.
