I have always said Golden Age Living Center in Stover, MO was the most cleanest and neatest nursing home I had ever been in. But, as I was walking out of Sunrise Nursing and Memory Care I said, Self, I can no longer say that. There were no odors, the place was clean. Everyone of the staff was friendly and acted like they enjoyed their jobs. Even the clients that I spoke to going through the hallways were pleasant to speak to. Good job team.job well done.

I am a chaplain who visits many facilities across the Kansas City Metro. The sunrise nursing and memory care facility looks like a fantastic place. One of my patient is a residence there and they seem to really enjoy it. The staff seems very knowledgeable and friendly.

Do not let your loved ones come here. This place mistreats their residents and their workers at the same time. One of the older women was panicking about having a shower, in this context she hasn't showered since her husband died, and the care taker that was responsible for taking care of her yelled at her and said "If you don't take a shower we're kicking you out." She only stopped yelling once one of the cleaners stepped and and told the care taker not to yell at her. But instead of firing the care taker, the cleaner was fired. Not only that, they fired her without telling her for a week. The care taker did not receive any consequences until the residents complained about the cleaner being fired, then they finally fired the cleaner. This is just one of the many situations that is allowed to happen in this place. They do not care about you or your loved ones.

I had a great experience with Sunrise Nursing and Rehab in Raymore, Missouri. Shelly, the Director of Nursing, was very kind and professional. Peyton, the social worker, was always available to answer my questions. Mike, the administrator, made sure the facility was always clean and organized. Would definitely recommend!

i wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all the wonderful staff at Sunrise. My mother did her rehab there and everything was great. She loved the food and all of her caretakers. She was especially fond of a nurse name Tiara. She said she was great and actually felt like so many cared about her and for her. The place IS busy, but every time we visited, we could say nothing but good things. We recommend this facility!

You guys did really good in taking care of my spouse. Everyone was nice and polite, the only problem I had was the meal ticket continuing getting lost, but when I talked to the kitchen team they took note and kept it. The ADON/DON Christine was extremely helpful and very resourceful. as long at the cooks in the kitchen and the DON is the same I will be coming back if needed.

Our family has just recently had to place a loved one at Sunrise nursing facility. They have been very attentive and helpful with every situation. Steven and Tiffany in admissions have been a huge help. Their social worker Jessica is so nice! All the staff has been very nice, I appreciate the care that our family member is receiving. Having to reside in any nursing home is not pleasant. However, the personnel here have done everything that they possibly can to accommodate our specific needs. My husband is a large man with physical and mental issues assigned to the Rehab Section. We greatly appreciate their kindness and concern for my husband and myself! I do know that the quality of care that you receive in a nursing home is more important than aesthetics! I will be updating this review at the time of our dismissal. Hopefully, we will still have the same positive opinion regarding our quality of care!

when I visited sunrise, all of the staff was friendly and attentive. The facility is clean with a fresh smell unlike other nursing homes. I've been to the care I saw residents getting was unbelievable. Call lights were being answered promptly the whole time I was there I saw staff on each hall consistently. Resident verbal knees did not go unknown and untaken care of. If I had to place my loved one in a facility, sunrise would be one of my top choices

I was a resident at Sunrise back in August .I fell at home and fractured my femur on right side and left wrist.I received excellent care from nurses to the aides.My physical therapy from Erica was the best it could be.Always encourage but never pushing me.The place was very clean and the food was excellent ,had to keep my best friend from eating fried chicken and the meat loaf.My family was very impressed with everyone Recommended all my family and friends.

The staff at Sunrise was very attentive and compassionate. While my dad wasn't there long, they treated him with dignity and respect. I never once felt like we were a burden. The facility was clean and the residents seemed happy and well taken care of. If I ever need a nursing facility in the future, this will be the first call I make. First impressions are valuable- but not always completely accurate. All things considered- after a few conversations with several staff members from the DON to the aids and house keeping, even a couple of the residents- You can tell the people that work here love what they do and care about the residents (no matter how difficult the residents can be)! And the residents I’ve visited with were honest, fair and overall happy with the staff and facilities! When the nursing staff kept their word regarding my LOs physical and medical care- I knew this was where God had for her to be for this imperative time in our lives. Thank you all @ Sunrise

My mom has been here since July 2023. It started a chain event that would be the worst year of our lives. But we had each other. And Sunrise really was so very kind, patient and understanding. The staff is good to my mom. After mom was placed here, after a random fall hanging her bird feeder, my stepdad/her husband of 43yrs died 8 weeks later without her. 6 weeks after that I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Trying to be strong for my mom. Handle their estate, get guardianship, all while fighting Cancer is without a doubt the hardest thing I've Ever done. The staff is incredible. The first 9 months I came weekly. Then every other week. But depending on how I'm doing I may miss 2 weeks. I try to bring the staff extra pop when I bring hers. And treats. My mom has adjusted mostly. It took about a year understandably. She lost her husband, her home, her dog, her car and freedom overnight. But the 800 memory care unit is exceptional!! It is all women. It is beautifully decorated. The food is pretty darn good. They do crafts and paint and have fun juice and hot dog and cheese puffs "happy hour" parties. Weather permitting they go outside for group walks twice a day! They have church. They bring in animals to comfort them. They communicate with me. I made the decision to put her here, almost an hr each way, because you will not find a better state assisted living home. The most important thing in the world to me, is that she's safe. No place is perfect. Noone will love your mom like you do. But they care. And she's made friends. I wish I didn't have to work. But knowing that she is provided round the clock care. And I know that they have gone above and beyond knowing what I'm going through. My mom needs me. I'm her world. And she is my priority. But I also must keep my job and get healthy so I can be here for more years to come!! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Angela Beisel

Sunrise is by far the cleanest and nicest facility I’ve ever seen. The staff are amazing and always go above and beyond for residents and visitors. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a long-term nursing facility.

For short term care the rehabilitation team were professional and hard working. However, I would not recommend long term care. Our elderly loved one developed bed sores.
