We recently moved our father into The Gardens. Everyone has been so nice and accommodating. Lisa, Jenn, Ashley have all been great to work with. The dining room staff deliver great food and that is very important for the residents. We are extremely pleased to have him apart of the The Gardens family. Everyone is so friendly.

The environment is beautiful. From the way the apartments are arranged and the central floorplan being user friendly to the tasteful decor makes this place peaceful and feel home like. The staff are personable and go out of their way to be helpful and kind. The admission process was swift and smooth. House keeping kept this place sparkling. Medications are administered in a timely manner. The food was super good just because they had so many accomodations to what you might be in the mood to eat. Quality live entertainment was provided as an option as well. The entire staff made this a already good place to a great place to be. The front desk staff always had a positive greeting. Our whole family felt like this was moms home. Thank you Gardens staff.

My Mom has been a resident now for six months. I couldnt be happier with the care she receives, the attentive staff, the variety of activities, or the facility itself. I searched for 4 weeks touring dozens of communities to find the right home for Mom. I believe no facility is absolutely perfect, but what I appreciate so much about The Gardens, is the great staff is always attentive and willing to listen and help address any issue or concern that I have raised. Grateful for such a safe, clean, secure, and happy home for my Mother.

My father really enjoyed living at the Gardens. He liked the staff, he loved the music and the social interaction. He also enjoyed the great meals as well. When in the hospital, he kept asking when he could return to the Gardens. That says a lot! Weve appreciated the love and care he has received and are so grateful for the caring staff.

This is a caring place for your family! they get attention, physical assistance, health conscious needs, tasty meals and treat our family with respect. they have also been taking extra cares to keep covid out. i also love that we family members get regular emails updating us about procedures and current events at the facility. Mom with her Alzheimers calls her assisted living area her apartment and still feels independent! thank you The Gardens at Barry Road ❤

The Gardens at Barry Road staff have been very polite and caring to my parents. I have found it necessary to call with questions frequently, and the staff are always happy to help. The facility is clean and my parents are getting wonderful care. As soon as the COVID-19 regulations are lifted, I look forward to being able to go in and meet these wonderful people in person. I highly recommend the Gardens at Barry Road!

My mother-in-law resided here for 8 years before needing skilled nursing. Loved the staff and how she was cared for. When the time came to place my parents in assisted living, my husband and I really didnt even consider any other place. Though the staff has changed some, the administration is committed to hiring caring, competent people to serve their residents. The peace of mind and assurance of care are wonderful.

Ashley is absolutely great to work with, Camelia, the director of Memory Care is fantastic! My dad was there only for a short time, but I could not have asked for a better situation for him. Everyone there is so very helpful and courteous.

My Great Aunt moved in after 11 years at another facility. We couldnt be happier with the service she has received here. This is a lovely community, and the perks they offer for family to stay connected (like $5 meals for visitors) keep everyone comfortable and happy.

The Gardens at Barry Road is an excellent choice for assisted living. All of the staff we encountered from nurses, aides, and office/ administrators, to dining room staff, maintenance and housekeeping etc were pleasant, polite, helpful, and friendly to my mother (for short term respite care) and my mother-in-law (for assisted living), as well as, to our family when we visited. The office staff were so helpful and knowledgeable in walking us through the business end and paperwork.They demonstrate genuine tender loving care for their residents. They made our loved ones feel at home and cared about. The facility itself is clean, beautifully decorated, and homey, not at all institutional feeling. The daily menus were varied and delicious. A deciding factor for us was the Christian atmosphere and no-smoking policy.

For all who maybe looking for an Assisted Living facility for your loved one, The Gardens at Barry Road is the perfect place! My Mom broke her hip a year ago, she went through therapy, and after her healing process, our family decided that it was best that she not live alone anymore. Not knowing the Kansas City area well, we started investigating facilities around the area. The first stop was The Gardens at Barry Road and WOW! we were very impressed. Very beautifully designed inside and out. The building inside has a lot of natural lighting and the outside grounds are very well taken care of. Perfect for that evening walk after dinner. Everything is clean. All the employees are just wonderful. They always have a smile and they all are very caring! Not just for the residents, but for anyone walking by. I could go on and on. If you are looking for the best place to go for Assisted Living, you dont have to look any further, The Gardens at Barry Road is the PERFECT place.

The Gardens at Barry Road has been an answer to prayer for my family. My mother-in-law relocated to Kansas City after a fall-related injury. She experienced a major transition as she left her home, friends, and everything familiar...literally 1200 miles away! The Gardens was a shining light in that difficult time. The staff are friendly, and they genuinely care for the residents. The transition has been challenging for my family as well as we learn to care for an aging parent. The Gardens has helped us so much through services they offer, but even more so through the wonderful people who have truly become our friends. We are very thankful!

My father has lived at the Gardens at Barry Road for about 2.5 years. The staff is very friendly and they get to know each resident and the residents particular needs. There is an activities director and there are a variety of outings-entertainment-exercises-birthday parties that the residents can choose from. Meals are varied with a choice of two daily specials, or the resident-guest can order off the menu. There are special buffets for residents-family around Xmas and Easter with visits from Santa and the Easter bunny. The staff will even check on the resident if they dont show up in the dining room. Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis and prescriptions delivered as needed. There are always some improvements-maintenance going on to improve the property. We hope to be there several more years.

I just started working at Glencroft and this Retirement is Class AAA and also the Residents. I had my own business for years and in and out of Retirements as far as the West and to the East . Glencroft has put forth a great effort to make sure the Residents don't want for nothing . I had my Grandmother here toward the end of her life . At first I must say I felt bad about putting her in skilled nursing but what they did for her was far more than what I could do . My Grandmother made so many friends and when I would take her out she would tell me , " I need to get back HOME its getting late . Once she told me she was just hanging out at the Holiday Inn at that point I knew she loved being there . She past away there at peace......
