Our family’s decision to move Mom to an assisted living facility was not an easy one. We did not want to take her out of her home she had been in for 60 years. We were worried she would not transition well, worried she would become depressed, and worried she would stay in her room. But she could no longer safely stay in her home so we made the difficult decision and moved her to Autumn View Gardens in Ellisville. Wow, were we surprised! Since she moved there 4 years ago she has been more active than she had in the previous 10 years! We can hardly find her in her room when we call or visit. She is involved in activities, she has more friends than we thought possible, and her quality of life has greatly improved! The staff has been wonderful, attentive and respectful, almost like family. Their willingness to help find solutions to maximize her care and quality of life is a testament to their faith-based mission to serve. Our family is very grateful for the care and love they show Mom and all the residents each and every day. Thank you Autumn View Gardens, you're the BEST!

I could not be more satisfied or ask for more than the caring treatment that my mother received at Autumn View Gardens in Ellisville. She was a resident there for a little under two years and because of her dementia, it was the only home that she could remember. She was surrounded by the most wonderful staff and other residents struggling with the same challenges she faced. If you are looking for a place for your loved one, you will not find a better place for them to receive loving Christian care. The difference is that the staff there really does care about the residents and treats them all just like they would their own mother or grandmother. Go see Natalie before you make your final choice for the right place to get the care your loved one needs and deserves.

Posting on behalf of a current Family Member of AVG: Jeff Crouch I recently was seeking a place that felt like home for my father after a decline in physical health. When I got to Autumn View Gardens and Met Natalie, Jen and all of the care team, well, the deal was sealed. It was very important for me and my family that a place could feel as close to home as possible for not just my dad but for all of us as well. Some of the places we looked at were really new and some even felt like a vacation getaway. Those places came with bells and whistles, heck, one even had a pastry chef! NO KIDDING. Those bells and whistles came with the expected major extra costs as well and no doubt they were nice. The point I want to get across to people that are now faced with our predicament is although it is nice to go on a vacation, most of us love to come home after it is over. Autumn View Gardens is just that, a comfortable home. Most of the staff have been there for a tremendous amount of time because they love working there. Believe me when I tell you, that is not usual and very telling. My dad is so happy and I am so grateful we were blessed to find this place. Good Luck, Please do not skip giving this place a look. I am fairly positive you will sense right away what I just described.

My brother had a brain tumor. As his abilities declined, the whole staff continued to give him loving and competent care with patience and understanding. The food is excellent. Family has been kept well informed and cared for as well. There are always a variety of activities to do every day. As a retired healthcare administrator, RN and counselor, I highly recommend Autumn View Gardens, Ellisville.

My father has lived at AVG for about a year now. I think, like anywhere, AVG has its share of problems. But, we have not yet encountered anything to be seriously concerned about. The staff is professional and friendly. The director is available and present. The residents always seem happy. Lets be honest, none of the residents are overly excited to be living there and not on their own, but my family has gotten to know some of them through casual interaction, and there are never complaints. One of the most telling anecdotes I can share is this--last winter my Dad was going to be interviewed for a national radio show, but was too sick to leave the facility at the time. The journalist and his team (sound team and producer) didnt think AVG would let them on the premises, due to the stigma of shock journalism, etc. The interview had nothing to do with the facility (it was about financial fraud), but from experience, the reporter knew that these places are very concerned about journalists. The crew made a series of contingency plans, fairly certain they wouldnt be allowed to interview dad. When we got there, I spoke to the facility director, and he did not hesitate to allow the entire crew to come in. He did not have a shred of concern. During the interview, he advised staff to stay clear in order to provide some privacy, and they did not require a staff member to be present to monitor what was going on. In summary, very pleased with the facility, and highly recommend it to those in need of such services.

I love the staff at Autumn View Gardens. My mom is very happy here. She contunually tells me how good the food is and how nice everyone is. Even this difficult time of Covid the staff make the residents feel loved and keep them busy with games and activities. Thank you all for everything you do!!

This is such a beautiful and family oriented community. I have been working at Autumn View Gardens for over 6 years and it is such a welcoming and friendly community. It definitely feels like a second family with all of the staff and residents!! It never disappoints.

I loved the warm, friendly and comfortable atmosphere from the moment I walked in the front door. There were residents playing cards, laughing and smiling and having a fun time. This is not the picture I had in my head of senior living! The residents were so outgoing and social. The community is beautiful with birds, open spaces, natural light and clean.

I am immensely grateful everyday for the kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff at AVG. My dad loves living there--he is always telling me about his delicious breakfasts and the fact that somebody does his laundry for him! I truly have not seen him this happy in years. I am so glad we found AVG.

My father has lived here for several years. This is a smaller community than the closest alternatives, but they are fully assisted living (no quibbling about how much you pay for the level of care -- everyone gets what they need) and more affordable rooms if you are on a very limited budget. The whole staff is friendly and helpful, and the dining room workers are terrific. Dad loves the food and the family atmosphere. They do lots of activities and will even allow residents to start their own.

Lovely place with a wonderful staff of caregivers......most who have been there for quite some time. Not totally ideal but the best Ive heard of....especially for the moderate price. My family member there has dementia and now that it is getting advanced I feel he needs more attention than they can give him....but cost of a memory care facility is way out of range. They say that eventually they will have a higher level of care for dementia patients and I am anxious for that to happen.

Until recently, my 86 year old mother lived in Kansas City. Most of her life was solitary with only her pets and her TV to keep her company. Due to a death in the family, I decided to move her to the St. Louis County area to be near me. After touring several assisted living locations, I found Autumn View Gardens in Ellisville. I was amazed at how happy the residents were. The employees were friendly and the building was bright, clean and attractive. My mother is SO happy there. If you ask her what is best about this place, she would quickly respond - "THE FOOD!"

I walked in today and there was a group of elders waiting in the lobby. I asked where they were going. One lady Beamed and said, "We are going shopping at Walmart"! She went on to share about their trip that same afternoon for a Joy Ride. What a Happy Group of Seniors!!!

Just had such warm fuzzies here!!! Brought my dad back from a short hospital stay the staff was definitely more like family and couldnt have been more welcoming!!! It reinforces the choice we made years ago for dad!!!!
