My father arrived at the memory care ward on December 15, 2023. He was diagnosed with dementia and dysphagia prior. From the moment he arrived, Kourtney and her crew took such good care of him as if he was one of their own family members. Little did we know that he would pass away just three days later, but they helped him transition from this life to the afterlife with dignity. The staff changed him regularly, and the nursing staff was very helpful in securing an emergency hospice examination and diagnosis on Sunday. I cannot recommend Sunrise of Des Peres enough.

Not filthy. From our experience, NOT a place for any non-demented person, needing a significant amount of physical help and assistance. Some staff have been lovely and VERY helpful and caring. More staff have been non-caring, or abusive, or definitely neglectful of 95 yo resident. Administrator denies all problems and has done NOTHING to reslove these issues. Supervisor of care-giving staff, only a CNA, herself, has taken no responsibility for mis-treatment by her staff and does not appear to care, either. Attempts to contact corporate staff have been completely un-answered for months. PLEASE do NOT assume that a facility or adminstration that APPEAR caring, clean, and well-functioning REALLY ARE, just from appearances. I would NEVER place a loved one in this facility for memory care as, even with a coherent, intelligent family member, she (and we) is NOT HEARD by supervisory staff. Abuse and neglect are repeated. Look for other alternatives. Look at MANY reviews, check about abuse and neglect reports with the state. I have not been able to do this, but look for ways to discuss with residents and/or family members who are NOT recommended by the administation to get their experiences of the facility or part of a facility that you are considering for care for your loved one.

I worked at this community for 8 years. The team is great and the residents are well cared for. It felt like a family with many, many grandparents! I moved my mom in at the end of life and my work family treated her like she was their mom. This community of people really care about your loved one.

I've been working for Sunrise for about 12 years now and I wouldn't pick any other place to work. I say this because the amount of growth here is unheard of. The residents are treated like family. From the housekeeping department to the corporate office you can feel that Sunrise cares. The team works together to constantly make sure that the residents have the best care that they can receive. There no place like home but Sunrise is probably the closes that you will get. Thank You

My family has nothing but great things to say about Sunrise. Despite coming highly recommended we did our due diligence when it came time to have Mom make the move and found first hand how well run and how good everything is here. It was an easy choice to make and were glad we did. Responsive staff, great care, extensive activities, good size rooms and public areas, bright and pleasant surroundings, very nice dining and family areas with a good meal service. Staff friendly and accommodating and we really liked the other residents. We couldnt have asked for more. Sunrise is an excellent residence and a great choice.

My father has lived here for 2 years, and he tells me often how much he enjoys living here. The staff is very friendly, their number one priority is the health, safety, and well-being of the residents. Communication between staff and family members is good, and theyve handled the challenging situation with the pandemic very well. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, much like an individuals home. Dementia can be very challenging for the person experiencing it and their families, and the peace of mind Sunrise of Des Peres provides is a blessing to all.

Beautiful place, welcoming atmosphere. The receptionist greeted me with a smile and was very helpful. They also have a cute friendly dog . Its a home like environment. Everyone I met was very friendly or at least would smile and say hi when passing them. Great place everyone seems like family.

I helped my friend get in this community. And I love how personable the staff is everyone knows him and his wants and needs. It is always clean and kept up. The quality of the food is good and he cleans his plate every time. He is getting his value worth. They try to engage him to join the daily activities. I would recommend this community.

On the tour I got to see that the community was nice but it would have been a little more expensive for us. They use a point system for extra care a resident may need and add that to the flat rate. One would not know how much they will be paying until they move in.

I was very happy with this tour. The staff was nice and caring. We liked that the community is clean and the menu is very appealing with the healthy choice. They offer a lot of activities. This was a great tour, but we wanted this community to be closer to home. We would recommend other to see this community for the care and value for a loved one.

This is a great community for care for my mom. We like the staff and the assistance for my mom. I liked that the staff called and said that they really wanted to take care of my mom for her needs. I like knowing that she likes the menu of the healthy meals. They offer her to be involved in the activities that are helpful. I am happy to know that she likes being here. We would recommend the care and value of this community to other families.
