Place smells of urine when you walk thru the door. I wouldn't let my dog sleep there. Very small double rooms where one patient sleeps N-S and the other E-W. A thin sleet separates them. It's nothing but a parking space for people who had to leave the hospital and had nowhere to go. Some patients have been there over a year. It was recommended by a social worker at Mercy and why I'LL NEVER KNOW. I spent three hours their and had my husband pick me up and take me home.

It's a shame they do not spend as much money on the interior that they do on the landscaping. The Staff is very kind. The urine smell is so strong. Objects in the hallway are fall hazard. Faucets in the bathrooms , do not work properly. Call lights and tray tables are not within reach of bedroom patients.

It’s not the best place to be but I need to thank Chim!!! He is the best one there, taking care of my grandmother. I can tell when is his shift: she is clean, bed is clean , always helps if we need anything. Thank you and give him a raise . Well deserved!!! Thank you Chim!!!

My loved one lived in this nursing home. I will say there a few staff there actually love their job and treat residents well. Yet they get burned out quickly. This place used to be great yet they changed management and this place is going down hill. The main problem is poor communication with their staff. I would tell one thing to a supervisor but the communication won't get down to the staff. There are some supervisors there who are rude to their staff which makes for poor morale. Then there are people who are there only to get a paycheck and they could care less about the residents. The staff told lies on my loved one. I would report to upper management but nothing was every done. They do not have enough staff to properly care for the residents. My loved one would sit in urine for hours. My loved one were scared to asked to be changed because the workers were rude or wouldn't come. If you go there for physical therapy they treat you like royalty because I believe that is where they make the most money. When you are resident that treat you awful. They are only concerned with making money since this place is chain they are only concerned with keeping up their brand. Only send your loved one there is you live in town and you can visit frequently. Then they will take care of their loved one.

My mom spent the last two years of her life there. The staff was helpful navigating the Medicaid process, very caring and supportive, and so thoughtful! It’s not the fanciest place, but they took good care of her, and it worked beautifully for her needs.

A family member was recently there for a short duration stay of 3 weeks for PT, OT and ST. The staff was very nice, and he was well attended to in spite of his severe handicap which renders him unable to walk or stand up. The food was good, and the staff tries very hard to make events to look forward to, like serving wine or cocktails, or popcorn or candy and movie nights, etc. Another good thing is that all the rooms are on the first floor, and all have windows that open to let in the fresh air if the patient desires. The decor in the rooms is a little dated, so I took a star off for that. Otherwise, I think this place is pretty good.

My mom has been living at Delmar Gardens of Creve Coeur for almost a year now and I am so thankful. Their staff is attentive, great at communicating and helpful. I do not know what my family or mom would do without this facility.

My father has been a resident of Delmar Creve Coeur for several years. Although he still has decent mobility he has other medical issues which were difficult to manage without 24 hour assistance. This year has been difficult with COVID but I felt that we were updated with his care meetings and even had help from the staff with face timing. He was happy with the activities that were available prior to the virus and even had opportunities to go to the ball game prior to COVID. Having personally worked in various medical facilities over the past 20 years, I have been very pleased overall with Delmar and feel that he is well cared by all the staff and administration

My wife was there for 3 years. She got excellent care. The manager came around all the time to make sure the caretakers were doing there job. Caught her many times when I visited helping the care workers with the patients. When my wife was put into hospice care for her last days, I saw 2 care workers crying because they really cared for her. I would recommend this place 100 per cent.

Communication at this skilled nursing facility was quite poor. During this period of Covid, when family is not allowed inside a nursing home, communication is our only way of knowing what is going on. We were not told BEFORE we dropped our mother off at this facility, that they were fighting a Covid outbreak. Why was this?? We were not told she had pulled out her PICC line. Why was this? We were not told that she was ready and waiting for a ride home after discharge. Why was this? Each time, we had to initiate phone conversations to find out this information. The phone works both ways, not just to the facility. We had very informative conversations with the social worker, but she was not easy to get hold of. She is only one person. We had some informative conversations with nurses, but they are busy people. When there is no way to see in a facility, how does a family know what is going on? Communication!

First off the three nicer photos are not of the facility. My wife's been here for over a year. Care has varied from excellent to poor depending on individuals. She's not as persistent about her needs as I am. I visit 4-5 days a week. Most caregivers are pretty good, but there seems to be fewer of them than needed and the turnover is high. Manager too often seems to be doing jobs that should be delegated, but there doesn't seem to be any other supervisory staff. No quality measurements or improvement teams seem to exist.
