I worked at Surryplace for 20 years. I loved it there. It was so clean .well maintained. Nursing care was great. I'm not sure of reasons for the decline as posted but there are reasons for that . Disgruntled should not be the source to post information of untruth. If you left a family member anywhere that care is nor whats expected why on earth as a family member would you leave them there or any where.

Just wanted to say what a wonderful job one of your nurses is doing. She works in the Dakota Bluffs wing. Her name is LaTonya and she is amazing. To be able to work with this patient who can be difficult at times. She is caring and a wonderful person. So glad that you have staff like her working there.

My 90 year old Mother was in the skilled nursing facility at Surrey Place. She had a fall at home and was admitted to SP due to a broken bone in her leg. She was there for approximately 7 1/2 weeks. Mom received fabulous care by every person who helped her recover! All staff members, including but not limited to, front desk personnel, kitchen/food delivery, maintenance, entertainment, crafts, doctors, nurses, OT, PT, supervisor, cleaning crew, shuttle driver, doggy visits were OUTSTANDING!! AAA+++ THANKS and HUGS to ALL of you!!! Mom is back home and doing GREAT!! TD 🙂

I have been staying in this facility for 10 days I've had an excellent experience. The Nursing care has been very responsive and compassionate. They addressed all my concerns in a timely manor. I have not waited for anything. The food is restaurant quality and the waite staff was very good also. Therapy dept was excellent and competent, I can't say enough about the therapy. I had PT , OT and Speech . When I came here I could not even stand up and now I am walking with the walker. Thank you Surrey Place.

My mom was a patient at this Facility. The care was excellent. The entire experience was more than our family could have ever hoped for as it related to all aspects of her care by the entire staff. A good friend recommended the facility to me.

My mom is a repeat client. She loves it and I trust it. She has been to Surrey Place short term rehab multiple times for broken hips, arms and other rehabs for surgeries. We both love how the same, kind, helpful staff remain at the same jobs year after year. The staff treat my mom with respect and dignity. I think she may have had at least 10 stays over the years and have only heard good things from my mom as well as the other people staying there at the time. I can't thank the staff enough for their dedication and caring. As we are looking now to a long term care placement, this is our Gold Standard when we compare others.

I use to love Surrey place work ther for 19 years.. I loss my job over my evaluation papers. They stated I was in fulltime plus my raises are on there to.. my supervisor signed and I have to sign. Every employee does so you can get your raise..but iam told that a mistake was made by the supervisor I was not fulltime at all you made this mistake for 3 years..I'm not under standing this is not my fault but I get blame..h.r. came over with a nasty attitude towards me.. the administrator got involved but didn't even f Ind out what was going on plus employee look up my medical records while iwas under the care of the medical director that's against the law. But did they care I was very hurt by this I've even asked to talk to the president of st.luks deny every time I was not allowed to file a grievance not fair my be because I'm black the rules are not important for. Me privacy rights st.lukes don't care.. at the end of the day nobody's playing with other employees pay and evaluate papers why me I worked hard for 19 years the administrator Susan no body is giving her fake evaluation papers do her wrong .oh I for got she whit black folks don't have rights so so sad experience I should have sued.. you no what I would have won because she signed the papers and mess up my pension I could owe money for this but don't nobody care..very on fair to employees wrong is wrong tammy no she wrong all I can do is pray on this place that destroyed myif

Best rehabilitation center I have visited (been to many in the area for various reasons). They are thorough at in-take, always keep family informed and all staff truly cares for best outcomes.

Surrey Place is by far the best rehab my husband has experienced. He has Parkinson's and everyone from the front office to the CNAS, RN'S, to the techs, maintenance are terrific. Everyone is friendly, happy, willing to help, go the extra mile for all. The PT, OT, and NP and Dr. Are excellent. The dining room experience is EXCELLENT. The food is outstanding offering several choices, and if not that can choose from a hard menu, soup, sandwich, salad bar. Servers are fast, efficient, smiling and willing to serve. The chief chef is one of a kind, walks arou d during meals to make sure everything is to your liking. If you are looking for a place for your loved one where you can have piece if mind knowing meds and all care is superior..SURREY PLACE should be your choice. Thank you Surrey Place! In the beginning I was fighting to go home for rehab...I now realize there is No Way I would have made the progress post surgery that I was able to achieve at US News highly rated Physical Therapy at Surrey Place had I gone straight home. Food service was excellent...I have the photo journal for support!!!... Staff were caring and encouraging. My table mates helped to make my time away from home a Funship Surrey Adventure ...."shhhh I don't know if we are to be having this much fun being here for Therapy" The facility is showing age...but I really wasn't there for the decor ... Highly recommended.

I am so grateful to the kind and generous staff and patients of Surrey Place for making my recovery from surgery and the use of my knee a tolerable experience. Surrounding me with friendly, sympathetic encouragement while ensuring my safety in movement was precisely what I needed. The physical therapy staff and nursing personnel worked diligently with me to get my knee moving. The music therapists provided beautiful music and singing. They were a really marvelous part of the total skilled nursing staff. Kudos to the dining room and kitchen personnel for providing a lovely setting in which to make friends at Surrey Place! I am so glad I chose to come here instead of returning home from the hospital. The pain I incurred from total knee replacement was intense and Surrey Place has the professional staff required to gently ease me back into safely walking again. Thanks ever so much Surrey Place.

My mother was at surrey place one day and we had to get her out of there. The facility is out dated and air conditioning was horrible in the 2012 heat wave. some staff were nice but other seemed bothered to be there and not organized. Given its location in a very nice suburb of St Louis and affiliation with a good hospital, it was quite a let down. There are nicer places in the vicinity.
