My mother-in-law lives at Shangri-La Rehab. She's lived in many assisted living and rehab places in the last few years. I can safely say this is the most care she's recieved from people who really care about her and others who live there. It is well run, clean, smells good, and is calm. The staff is out on the floor helping people and completing tasks, unlike some places where you can find people behind a desk doing very little. Her clothes are whisked off to laundry as soon as she's changed in the morning and at night. Roxanna goes up and down the wing my mother-in-law lives in and cleans everyday. That floor shines because of her dedication. She's always fun to talk with. I'm called by Tina or Angela if there's a change in medication. They are caring detailed nurses, exactly what you would hope for. Felicia is on top of the business side, yet helped when I needed to get ahold of my mother-in-law and couldn't and helps with other non business related events. Aubrey, their social worker, makes transportation arrangements and makes certain my mil gets to doctor's appointments as well as follow ups. She even made arrangements for a notary to come in for personal paperwork. Randy, the director, is there to help and listen to concerns, yet more importantly, he takes action to make my mother-in-law's life a good one. All of these people do their job with a smile and it seems with humor and with enjoyment. It is their life, and their realness that makes them good to be around and easy to talk to. Shangri-la may not be the newest nursing home in the area, but it is the best. My mil is happy too. I highly recommend Shangri-la for a loved one who needs extra care and kindness.

Wanting to say thanks to all the awesome nurses and care givers within this facility. My father was there for almost a year before his passing and was always taken care of as if family. All the nurses shown tons of compassion and caring towards the patients each and every day. Don't let low ratings for this facility sway your decision the nursing staff is great and that matters the most in my mind.

I enjoy working here in this family-like atmosphere. This team works extremely hard to take care of our residents who are our extended family. There is such a great opportunity to learn different roles and develop skills. When I started here, I planned to help for a few months. This facility might look old but that don't mean anything the staff that works in this building is wonderful! They treat every resident as they would their own family they have an excellent activity director that keeps them happy with things to do and awesome holiday parties! This would definitely be a stop on my list if I was searching to place a family member.

My mom has been in the facility for a little over a month now. In that time, she's had a massive heart attack. The staff has taken extremely good care of her! They went with her to a cardiologist appointment because we couldn't make it. The lady that escorted her to her appointment stood up for her at the appointment. This is so important to our family! None of us ever want to have to put our loved ones in a nursing home, but we can't always give them the best care at home. I appreciate the staff at Shangri-La! Thank you , Priscilla Young-Haas

I work at Shangri-La the building is not the prettiest in the world but the people in it are good people in particular the activity staff they go over and beyond to make sure the residents have extremely good holidays and fun things to do throughout the week they're always doing something with them.

Shangri-La Rehab & Living Center has been a wonderful support for my family (especially my dad). My dad went in the center with limited mobility and inarticulate speech, do to some previous obstacles he experienced. He as been there since August and in six months he has made so much progress. He is beginning to be more independent and seems more like himself. The staff is very nice and helpful, in which they are accommodating to all of his needs. Any questions I have, they answer in a timely fashion. I do not have any complaints and appreciate Shangri-La Rehab & Living Center immensely!

For 7 years I have been through a lot of rehab facilities with my father. I moved him to Shangri-la after a particularly bad experience at another facility. They were close to my house and I figured I would at least be able to keep a better eye on things there. What I found has changed everything for me and my Dad. The staff there doesn't just take care of them. they treat them like family. They take the time to make them feel like they are there for them. They are available to talk to me about anytime I call or come by. They have my Dad up, dressed and out of his bed first thing in the morning. He stays up a lot more than he used to and is even discovering new things around there all the time. I moved him there for convenience...he staying because of the staff.
