The Novel Place is a Beautiful place to live. Samantha brings Sunshine with her Smile! We've moved to our new home, but Iv got to say we do miss The Novel Place. Miss the enter action with the residents, as well as the friendly staff. If anyone has the opportunity to move into The Novel Place, you will love it! Definitely a 5 Star place to live.

I came across Novel Place when looking for a family member to make the move out of their home and into independent living for multiple reasons. Novel Place not only met all needs that were needing to be met, but exceeded expectations! Everyone was so friendly, residents are very social and welcoming. There is a lot to do when living there between 4-7 activities scheduled during the day, the gym, movie theater, outdoor living areas with seating and games, screened in outdoor patio, media area, library and much more. The option of meals being available twice a day Monday - Friday and once on the weekends was great. It was also a great perk that if more meals were needed, residents can just go down and order an extra. The esthetics of Novel Place make it look so luxurious and clean. Light house keeping is included biweekly with the rent, which takes another big chore off someones list and making their lives more easy and comfortable. Novel place is in a great location and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking.

Approximately a year ago my wife and I began looking at retirement communities. When we came upon Novell Place Blue Springs and found that each apartment had its own washer and dryer we decided that was where we wanted to live. The facility is beautifully decorated, and modern. A lot of activities to keep us busy, and everyone is very friendly. All employees are very accommodating.

When we decided to sell our home and investigate independent living apartments near our son and daughter in law, we concluded that Novel Place was perfect for us. We were immediately impressed with the physical beauty of the building, the common spaces of foyer/living room with fire place seating for conversation, attractively appointed dining room, library, exercise/fitness and heath space, immaculately maintained. The sun coming through the balcony doors of our apartment welcomes us into each new morning to engage with this community. We appreciate and express gratitude for the thoughtfully planned and prepared food we enjoy every day. The chef and dining room staff are extremely competent and engaging with residents, polite and always accommodateing. The entire staff, administration, culinary, and social activities director are committed to consistent service to residents, always ready to accommodate needs and requests. There are countless opportunities to engage in multiple activities and daily invitation for residents to be a part of this community as genuine neighbors and establishing new friendships. Your world can grow larger here!

Here is why I found Novel Place an ideal place to live. Modern facility with really nice decor, and the spaciousness of the common areas is put to good use for meetings, games etc.. Breakfast and dinner served Monday thru Friday and brunch served Saturday and Sunday. No additional charge. The community has Apartment cleaning, which includes changing the bedding at no additional charge. There is a recreational gal who is constantly looking for things that will keep the tenants entertained via games, and outings. Also, doctor appointments within a 10 mile radius are provided at no added cost to tenants. The folks who are employed here are some of the most courteous and jovial to be around. You will find they may become good friends just like your neighbors you will be dining with and interacting with on a daily basis. Last but not least, utility bills are a thing of the past and no long term leases. Oh yeah, I live here and love it!

I have been living at Novel Place Blue Springs since May of this year. I have been extremely happy here. I spent the last 5 years before moving here in another community in McAllen, TX. I moved to Blue Springs to be closer to my older brother and his family. I have a 1 bedroom apartment which is perfect for me and what I need. There is plenty of room but it's not difficult to keep up. The people that live here at the community are very warm and inviting and made me feel extremely welcome. I am very impressed with the food service. They are very flexible and accommodating. I also am impressed with the level of security here at the community. I feel safer here than I did at the other community I lived at in Texas. The location is very convienent for grocery shopping and other restaurants in the area. It still feels quiet but close to what we need.

I have only lived at Novel Place for five months and wonder why I waited so long to move here. I can't find anything wrong with this place. It is in a very safe neighborhood, close to a grocery store that delivers to us free of charge - although we don't need to buy much food since the meals are furnished. The food is very good and has such a great variety. I have my very own washer and dryer and dishwasher. Not that I have many dishes to wash. I have met so many wonderful people and have made many close friends. We have every game imaginable at our fingertips. Not to mention all the exercise programs, bingo, trips and health information available. We even have free trips to doctor appointments. When I first came here people would just walk up to me and say, "Hi". My name is so and so, what's your name? I've never seen a more friendly place. All the residents know my name as well as the staff and servers. This place also has the cutest dogs and cats that I've ever seen.

My parents have been living at Novell Place in Blue Springs for 2 years. My parents love the facility and the activities are wonderful and they enjoy the happy hour and the staff is so very kind. However, the quality of food is very poor. My parents have discussed this with management several times, unfortunately no positive changes have been made. I wish the management would listen to their residents and consider ways to improve the quality of their meals.

I have nothing but great things to say about Novel Place!! I was looking to move mom from a Memory Care unit at another facility and remembered seeing their beautiful building when going to Price Chopper! Mom had full time private duty caregivers and it no longer made sense to have her at a facility that also provided care staff. So, I set up an appointment and was so impressed that I signed the lease that same day! Not only is Novel Place gorgeously decorated and meticulously maintained but their staff is kind, courteous and always puts their residents first. The food is delicious and they offer a great variety of choices. While mom wasn't able to socialize much due to her health, I personally, loved seeing the residents spending time together in the beautiful lobby or dining area. Especially, on Chiefs Sundays!! I feel so grateful that my dear mom was in such a safe and wonderful place and highly recommend.

We moved my MIL into Novel Place recently and she is settling in nicely. We liked that the meals provided are somewhat healthy and for the most part she likes them. We also like that transportation is provided to doctor's appointments and such so it made it easier for us to convince her to give up her car. The onsite private duty care is also a plus knowing she gets checked in on 4x per day.

My sister came here due to having a home that was not suitable for her needs. The regular balanced meals as well as the support of housekeeping has enabled her to regain her strength. Also, due to Covid, she was isolated and now she is able to engage in the activities of Novel Place. She has made friends and is also very pleased with the staff. The staff is very friendly and seems to be concerned about each and every person at Novel Place. Novel Place is also conveniently located close to other services that she will use. Can't say enough great things about this location for my mother. She lived in another +55 complex in Independence, MO and this is 100% better. Novel Place in Blue Springs is definitely worth it's weight in gold: Friendly staff, good food, great location (right across the street from a nice and clean Price Chopper that has a Starbucks and a pharmacy). The other residents are super friendly and the 2 meals a day are great. We should have moved here sooner.

Novel Place is gorgeous and fun! When I walked the first time up to the door, music greeted me and I loved that - inviting me to experience anticipation and joy. The atmosphere is welcoming with much natural light, big fireplace, beautiful paintings and photographs - all in exquisite taste. Focus point is to foster an open feeling. Once inside the front door, one can see the large dining room serving a great assortment of good food for our pleasure. Fridays at 2pm are Happy Hour where people can gather and visit. We had a Valentines party and Mardi Gras party with games and prizes. Each person can choose to experience the many events and activities offered. There are many places in the building to share. I feel feee to follow my interests and get help and support from friendly residents and staff. Health and well being is a priority at Novel Place. Quality work and effort from the staff makes Novel Place the #1 senior citizen place! This superb place just doesn't happen by itself. Corey, Sam, Holli, and the residents make this a wonderful place for people to live. I'm glad I'm here!

My mother moved in September 2021, and its been such a blessing. We couldn't ask for a better community. The foyer and dining hall are just amazing, and the whole facility has top notch finshes. All sorts of activities and trips with transportation planned for the residents, great meals, its awesome. Then the staff...they've been absolutely amazing! So helpful and considerate, looking out for all their residents needs. Our family highly recommends The Novel Place...you wont be dissapointed.

I loved this building the minute I walked in...the office staff were readily available and welcoming..the entrance was just as welcoming...the amenities so convenient for my elderly mom...Equipped with a gym..library...balconies and game areas....house keeping, transportation and meals are a major plus..not to mention a nearby grocery store and Urgent care...I would live there myself...what a blessing addition to Blue Springs...I give it 5 stars

After touring and researching many senior facilities we came to the decision that Novel Place Blue Springs would be the perfect fit for us. The community areas are beautiful and modern as are the apartments. While catering to seniors, the decor, amenities, food and activities will keep you youthful and as busy as you want to be. The staff in every department has accommodated us with every request and made us feel as if we were their only tenant. Please include Novel Place when thinking about a new living arrangement. You will not be disappointed!

The Novel Place is true to its name. The first words out of my mouth after entering the lobby was, "I want to live here". It is an immediate experience of the senses. The interior design is off the charts. There is music playing, there is a subtle fragrance that is very pleasant. They have thought of everything, and it shows in the details. The apartments are beautiful. The design is done with seniors in mind but that does not equate to old and boring looking. It is gorgeous and very comfortable in size. The staff is another differentiator. They are kind. They truly like older people and are trained to understand who they are working with. They are involved in activities, so the residents get to know them. They pay attention to the needs of the residents. They are watching them to see patterns so if something is awry, they notice. The food is another surprise. It is not your bland, boring menu. The chef is fantastic, and the variety is great. The service at dinner is outstanding. There is a guardian angel that serves meals. She makes everyone feel known and cared for. She is paying attention and helping the residents with more than just their meals. The transition my mom has experienced after moving in is nothing short of miraculous. She is 82 years old and a change this big would rock any of us. However, my mom is very happy, feels safe, and she has already met a lot of very kind, caring people that are all her neighbors, her community. It is exactly what she needed in this season of her life. If this sounds too good to be true, then you need to go check it out for yourself. It is for real. It is a model of senior living that I hope becomes the norm for our aging boomers.

This is the nicest place! New and beautiful! The location is right our back door so it is very convenient to have mom here. And the staff is the best! So glad we went to the trouble of moving mom. I moved her for the convenience of having her much closer to me and to the grocery store, drug store, etc. But all the friends and family say this is the nicest place she's stayed. And she loves the staff! I highly recommend it.

As I enter I get the hotel feeling that makes me inwardly smile - I am about to go on another adventure. This, my first stay in a senior facility is proving to be everything I hoped it would. After the hotel atmosphere of the well appointed entry, sitting areas, library and dining room, I find myself enjoying my apartment. There are four sizes of apartments. Each apartment differs because of its location. I prefer the hubbub and activity of the grocery store. Other options are peaceful grass and hillside or looking into one of the court yards. The residents and staff are very helpful and inviting. I totally recommend this facility. Come and have an adventure with me. Ros

My mom recently moved into Novel Place in Blue Springs. It's a beautiful facility with attentive staff. I met with several different staff members, and they were all more than happy to answer questions and accommodate my mom. She was moving from rehab, and they worked with me on getting her set up in her apartment. Her apartment is really nice with very nice finishes. She has done a few of the activities, and she really enjoys happy hour on Fridays. 🙂 Her air conditioning went out recently, and the executive director worked on it personally for several hours. He was unable to get it working, so they got her a portable unit until they could get a technician out to fix it. The next morning, the technician fixed it right away. Happy with the resolution of any issue that may have come up. Check out Novel Place if you're looking for a great place for your 55+ family members or friends.
