Made an appointment to look at the Gable Pines facility. I walked in the door and knew this was the place for my mother. I met with Shelley, the Resident Counselor. She was gracious, very knowledgeable and caring. An apartment was available for my mother and we were able to get things lined up within a short time. She was available to answer our questions and greets us whenever we see her. Great facility, clean, welcoming and with many amenities.

My parents were looking for a senior living apartment and we looked at a few in the area. But when we visited Gable Pines and met with Shelley, my dad knew that was the place that he wanted to live. They have only been moved in for a few weeks, but so far, it's been very welcoming, and everyone is very helpful. From the first phone call to Gable Pines when I spoke with Shelley the Residency Counselor…….My shoulders went down… Searching the right place for a loved one is very stressful and time consuming especially when you are under pressure to make a decision quickly. Shelley's calm and reassuring voice was just what we needed. We got in quickly to meet with her. She was approachable and welcoming. She was very knowledgeable and professional and took all the time we needed to ask questions and tour the building. She sure loves her "community" of residents! Gable Pines is a beautiful building but what really matters has been the great staff, great food and for my sibling, the feeling of being valued, safe and cared for. It's early on in his stay, but we are in encouraged that this is the perfect spot for him. Thanks Gable Pines!

After trying two other homes, I believe this is the best-assisted living facility in St. Paul, hands down. The building is modern/new, super clean, has the best food I've ever seen (after visiting/eating at over ten facilities) and has high-quality people. The staff calls me with observations and recommendations on how to help my Father live a better/healthier life. I can't put into words how grateful I am for their attention and nurturing disposition towards my Father. He is happy for the first time since moving out of his Home of 44 years. In looking for a place for my parents that offers progressive care but doesn't feel like a typical nursing home, we found Gable Pines. Their costs were very similar to a typical progressive style nursing home but with more amenities and activities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Shelley, in particular, has been very kind and helpful to my family. I would have given 5 stars but only takes private pay, no public assistance. Edit: Now that my parents have stayed here a couple months, things have changed in my opinion. We ended up putting my dad in memory care here and it's the pits. He is high functioning for memory care but he likes to wander and started to fall so my mom couldn't care for him especially at night. But my dad pretty much takes care of himself in memory care. He has been able to get outside at night to have the door lock behind him. No staff around. He has fallen in the night and no one around to help him. His room doesn't have a help button and they never gave him a pendant to wear.

Gable Pines is a beautiful facility. The building has large, spacious and bright rooms that are soundproofed and had patios or balconies. The hallways were bright and the building smelled so clean. The building had a large arts and craft room with sewing machines, a huge library and exercise room, a roof top balcony, a religious room, even a bar. I had a tour with Shelley, who was such a consummate professional. Shelley was so easy to talk to and gave me great advice, and she had the most delicious pistachio cookies waiting for me, which was such a nice thought. She even sent my mother flowers for her birthday, which absolutely floored my mother. I can't express enough HOW THOUGHTFUL Gable Pines and Shelley were!!! I talked to several residents, and they all loved Gable Pines, and even a guy in the parking lot who said he and his mother absolutely loved the place and it was the best decision he made to put his mother there. Though I ended up selecting a different facility, Gable Pines was my first choice and I absolutely loved everything about it.

What a beautiful campus! The location is very accessible, with plenty of shopping and restaurants near by. The facility itself is well maintained, offering a great variety of services, with spacious rooms that are gorgeous! I toured Gable Pines on Sept 18, 2023 with Shelley Beckman, Gable Pine's Residency Counselor. What struck me most about the visit was Shelley's sincere respect and love for the residents of Gable Pines. She also loves her job which reflects on what it is like to live there. The facility is well maintained, bright and has a lot of activities (both indoors and outdoors) for residents. The pricing structure is straight forward and transparent. Gable Pines offers activities to keep all aspects of a person's wellbeing cared for including - spiritual, physical and emotional needs. I'm assisting my parents in a move, and this is definitely a place I will strongly consider.

We recently moved a good friend into Gable Pines Senior Living in Vadnais Hgts after the sudden loss of his wife. So far, we have found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating with settling our friend into his new home seamlessly/efficiently. The environment is well appointed, clean, bright and welcoming to residents and visitors alike. My friend has been very pleased with the variety in meal selections and remarks frequently how tasty the food is. I went on a tour of Gable Pines on 2/21/22. As I walked in the door, I was greeted by the friendly front desk staff and the amazing aroma of lunch cooking. Then, I was able to meet with and go on a tour with Jodi Speck, the Director of Marketing and Sales. She took the time to help me understand all that Gable Pines has to offer seniors in their independent living, assisted living and memory care options. Then we went on a tour to see the beautiful facility, we toured the cozy library room, the elegant pub, the movie room with even a popcorn machine, and the many sitting areas with plenty of natural light coming through. I loved the very large and dedicated workout room to encourage seniors to keep active. As I was standing in the spacious and beautifully decorated dining room, I was told that the chef makes all the food from scratch and listens to the residents feedback for continual improvement. Wow! Then we went on a tour of a beautiful one bedroom and two bedroom apartments that had plenty of natural light, storage and space. Jodi's positive relationship with the residents and staff was evident as we walked throughout the building. I also learned that Gable Pines provides many fun activities for seniors to encourage them to be involved and socialize with their community in a variety of ways. Gable Pines offers so many options for seniors from activities, to services, to apartments options and levels of care. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit at Gable Pines and now I can refer family, friends, and clients in the future.

First, I wish to express my gratitude for the beautiful bouquet of sympathy flowers which were sent to the church for my Moms funeral. The flowers were absolutely stunning and were placed in front of the altar during the services. Also, thank you for sharing the live stream of Moms funeral for members of the Gable Pines community to attend virtually. My Dad and I felt the communitys presence and support in spirit. Additionally, I wish to extend a special thank you to Mr. David Jones and Ms. Roseline Yang. Back in January 2021, I had expressed some care concerns for both of my parents. After initially addressing my concerns with Ms. Yang, she felt it would be best to involve Mr. Jones in our conversation. A plan was set with the intent to immediately address and rectify these concerns. Unfortunately, within a matter of days, both of my parents were hospitalized with COVID-19. Their hospitalizations halted any potential plans to work directly with my parents to address and resolve these matters. Mr. Jones remained in close contact with me during my parents hospitalizations. He took a genuine and concerted interest in the progression of not only my parents prognoses but also my well-being. He often forwarded messages of support, well wishes as well as thoughts and prayers from the rest of the Management Team. The day after my Dad was discharged from the transitional care facility where he completed his recovery, my Mom passed away. Mr. Jones and the Management Team wrapped both Dad and me in their support and felt our immediate familys pain of the new void in our hearts. A couple days before the funeral, Mr. Jones visited my Dad to personally express his condolences and to take some time to get to know Dad. They had a wonderful conversation. The visit during the first week of grief did Dad a world of good! He enjoyed the visit and time with Mr. Jones. The morning of Moms funeral, Dad called me before I came to pick him up. He said his left wrist was hurting and he wrapped it up to provide some support. Upon my arrival, I walked into Mom and Dads apartment to find Dad wearing his necktie slung around his neck like a long cord. He told me of his frustration with attempting to tie his necktie, something he has done since he was a teenager. Between his wrist hurting, grief, nervousness and shock of reality prior to going into the somber event we were about to attend, he could not tie his own necktie. He showed me how he attempted time and time again to tie it into Windsor knot but to no avail. Dad attempted tying the tie a couple of times with me watching. His frustration mounted as the tie was being tied, but somehow backwards! I suggested to Dad, maybe we could ask the funeral director at the church to help. Dad opposed that idea. Unfortunately, I never learned the life skill of properly tying a necktie in a Windsor knot. Dads nervousness continued to grow. Finally, I texted Mr. Jones. He was aware that we would be leaving for the funeral shortly. In my text, I simply asked Mr. Jones if knew how to tie a tie. He immediately responded with, Sure do. Want me to come up? I replied, Yes, please, if you have a moment. Within a couple of minutes Mr. Jones knocked on the apartment door. He offered Dad to tie the tie. Dad handed the tie to Mr. Jones who proceeded with it to the bathroom and began setting up the knot as if he were about to wear it himself. Once the tie was about to be set and secured to be worn properly around the neck, Mr. Jones placed the tie around Dads neck. He secured it and tied the tie to perfection on Dad! Dad double-checked Mr. Jones work and grandly approved. Any feelings of anxiety or nervousness of not arriving to the church properly dressed were immediately washed away. For the rest of the day, and several days after, Dad kept expressing his gratitude for Mr. Jones efforts and constantly complimented how Mr. Jones tied his necktie to perfection.

My mom lived there until she passed away form Alzeimers and I cant say enough about the care, compassion and love she received. I highly recommend Gable Pines. They have taken great care of several family members. When my mom moved in it was simply the perfect place for her. There were so many activities she loved to participate in from exercise classes to games to crafts to outings. My mom participated in all of them. And when covid started the Gables has done a great job protecting our family members. They worked hard to bring activities to the residents in their rooms then as guidelines allowed they moved to small groups. They are constantly reevaluating the recommendations so they keep our families safe. My mom passed away this summer and I have other family living at the gables and the staff always ask me how Im doing when I drop things off. They tell me how much they miss my mom. That means a lot because I know they loved her and she loved them as well

I moved from a house to Gable Pines Senior Living, which has Independent (what I am in), Assisted Living and Memory Care (what my wife is in). I am a retired Engineer and I could not have designed the Memory Care area any better, which overlooks a pond and a garden + has daily activities (a person assigned to just do activities) for all the 23 residents of Memory Care. Independent and Assisted Living people have activities together and dine together. I am not ever going back to living in a house or townhouse.
