Came to visit a very dear friend that I have known all my life and she was in her room with the door shut. When they brought her out to visit with me and my daughter she had food all over her hands from lunch and food all over her shirt. This isn't how you treat the residents and their dignity.

We had a wonderful experience when my Dad lived at Rivers of Life. He came there after being discharged from the hospital. He wanted to go home and was upset about the move, his hair was messy from lying in a hospital bed, and he was unshaven. The moment he arrived the staff made him feel so welcome. They cleaned him up, cut his hair and shaved him; when I visited him later that day I didn't even recognize him! The transition was much easier than we expected because of the care and kindness of Sue and the nurses. The staff made sure my Dad engaged in activities, got him up out of his wheelchair to dance (and sent me a video), and brought him out to the patio for fresh air and sun, which he really enjoyed. The difficulty of watching him decline was lessened by knowing my Dad was receiving wonderful care and attention and was part of a community. I'm so thankful to Rivers of Life and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for memory care.

An absolutely incredible establishment top to bottom. We struggled immensely with finding the right place for our mom. Too many facilities have memory care locked off from the rest of the residents and it is a huge source of anxiety and frustration when residents know they're locked behind a door. At Rivers of Life, there's immense space all intentionally curated and open for memory care residents. The attention to detail was astounding. Every inch has been carefully crafted to stimulate the senses and create warm comfort for the community that lives there. Since moving our mom into Rivers of Life her daily quality of living has gone through the roof. She smiles and engages everyone around her. Every person we've met on staff was clearly hired because of a passion for caring, not just a paycheck and it is so wonderfully obvious as they seek engagement with the residents. Top to bottom, through and through, this is THE best care facility for your loved one!
