I visited Cascade Creek yesterday and was very impressed with the atmosphere and cheeriness of the place. The staff and patients were cheerful and appeared comfortable. The unit was built around the specific needs of memory care patients. Two levels of outside areas were appealing and safe and schedule was also based on the needs of this population with room for individuals' needs.

Cascade Creek is a modern memory care facility designed for and dedicated solely to people with dementia. Having observed the care given my sister in the two months she has been a resident, I give the facility high marks. The Cascade Creek website, our family's first introduction, contained very helpful information, not only about the facility but about dementia and its treatment. The tour we were given of the facility answered many questions and allowed a mutual exchange of information. An experienced, highly trained nurse conducts an initial assessment of each prospective resident's mental and physical condition. Once the admission decision is made, an in-depth Interview with a family member gives the staff helpful background information about their new resident. The two-story building is thoughtfully designed and tastefully decorated, with plenty of natural light, a spacious common area, and a protected outdoor courtyard. The surrounding area has adequate parking and lots of open green space. Each resident's room has a large window, adequate closet, safety features in the bathroom, wifi, motion sensor. Our family was encouraged to personalize the room with familiar artwork, objects, and photos. The meals I shared with my sister were tasty, with the chef & his staff attuned to the nutritional needs & preferences of each resident. Most important, the staff members whom I met were well trained, willing to help, attentive, gentle, and caring. They did their best to make my sister feel at home. Many activities are offered at Cascade Creek, to include art projects and music therapy, scheduled concerts, bus trips, and other events. As I live far from Rochester, I miss seeing my sister; the Cascade Creek staff has arranged for me to keep in touch through weekly phone calls. Our Minnesota family has been encouraged to visit, to share meals, to bring our pet dog for visits, and to communicate with staff re any questions or potential issues. I feel reassured that my sister is in good hands.

Cascade Creek took excellent care of my brother-in-law, who lived there the last 9 months of his life. He had frontotemporal dementia and declined rapidly after we had to remove him from his home for his own safety. He went through many different stages of decline while at Cascade Creek - and throughout all the different stages the staff lovingly, and with great knowledge, took care of him. They honored him with respect & dignity always. They loved him like he was their brother. I can't say enough good things about Cascade Creek Memory Care. I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for excellent, loving care for their loved one living with dementia. They were also very respectful and loving to us as family members!

My brother has been at Cascade Creek memory care for almost 4 months now. He is a person who uses a wheelchair and has several health issues in addition to dementia. The nursing director personally ensures all his needs are taken care of and suggests things our family can provide to make it easier for my brother. We had a problem with insurance coverage of his meds in the beginning and she worked with us and the doctors on some changes so that it makes economic sense to use their mail-order pharmacy. He is a soft-spoken, kind man and tends to isolate himself which makes his depression worse. It's just incredible how well he's doing at Cascade Creek! His mood is stable and he's frequently out and about with the other residents. He hasn't been this happy for a very long time. Everyone that works there knows him and always greets him by name. I've noticed the staff are quite patient in chatting with him and I can see from the look on my brothers face that he enjoys the conversation and interaction. Cascade Creek is a beautiful new facility that makes good use of technology, is very clean and has a cheerful atmosphere. The most important and impressive asset though is their incredible staff! Over the years I unfortunately have had experience with family members living in several LTC facilities. I can honestly say that Cascade Creek is my #1 choice and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to place their loved one.

If I could choose a community for a loved one in need, I would (hands down) pick Cascade Creek Memory Care. The unique amenities they offer and personal care for the residents is amazing.

Let me start by saying that I am a life-long Rochester MN resident, and I recently moved my 93 year old mom to Cascade Creek Memory Care. Mom is also a life-long Rochester resident, who was diagnosed with dementia two years ago. Prior to moving her to Cascade Creek, she was residing in another memory care facility in Rochester. The care she is now receiving is so wonderful...the dining room is beautiful and spotlessly clean, the meals are prepared and served like a fine restaurant, and her room is so welcoming with a huge window that overlooks a courtyard. The common areas are beautifully decorated and spacious, with lots of seating around the fireplace and sunny windows. Every single member of the staff has been amazing. Each one has been so friendly and helpful. They treat my mom with dignity and respect, and truly care about her comfort. She loves all of the activities, the outings in their shuttle bus, the painting, decorating, playing bingo, the sing alongs...even baking! From the moment we stepped into the facility, my sister and I were so impressed with the overall beauty of the place, but we were concerned how mom would do with a move. I can honestly say that it was the very best decision for mom - I no longer leave her after our visits with a feeling of sadness, but rather I am happy knowing how well she is being cared for. Cascade Creek was the answer to my prayers.

We moved our 58 year old son to Cascade Creek Memory Care in late September, 2021. It is nearly three months since he moved in. He was diagnosed at age 55 with early onset Alzheimer's. We feel fortunate to have found Anthem's excellent home for our son. From the very beginning the staff learned to know him and appreciate his good humor and understand his limitations. He has described his experience there as being like a cruise ship or a high end hotel. He comments often about the food and has a good appetite. The chef has learned about the healthful foods he enjoys and has incorporated his favorites into the menu. He is physically fit and ran the Twin Cities Marathon in 2019. We were concerned that he needed physical activity at a level beyond what is available at most memory care facilities. The staff takes him and other residents for outdoor walks when the weather permits, and he walks or runs around a small pond at his own pace. He enjoys his outdoor time and has become friends with those who walk with him, both staff and residents. His room has large windows that overlook a small enclosed courtyard with walking paths and greenery. He frequently walks in the courtyard and also walks the hallways that surround the living units. Social interaction is where his care really shines. We visit him four or five times per week, and one of the finest compliments he has given to his caregivers is that he is sometimes willing to cut our visits short so that he can get back to his activities. He enjoys joining groups for music, games, movies, and story telling. He loves to tell stories and has a positive view of himself as an entertaining story teller. Kudos to the activities director and all the staff who care for the residents. Whenever we visit we are impressed that residents are encouraged to interact in pleasant common areas. Our son's interest in participation is testament to the dedication of skilled caretakers. Other reviewers have commented about the clean, pleasant common areas for dining and activities, and I agree. If you have a loved one who needs memory care, I encourage you to consider Cascade Creek Memory Care.

I had my mother in a different memory care in Rochester MN. She was not getting good care. I found Cascade Creek and found a memory care unit that is totally different. They are engaging her with music, painting, exercise, bingo and walking with her outside around the pond. She has blossomed with all the care. She is smiling again and happy. She also loves the food they serve her like a restaurant. The staff is great they spend as much time as I need to answer my questions.
