I was able to tour the assisted living with a friend of mine and it was better than I ever expected. The moment we walked in the door, we were greeted by the receptionist, Kay, and a resident who was enjoying the fireplace in the front lounge area. We were greeted by Shannon, who took the time to visit with us and explain pricing in detail and she answered our many questions, always with a lovely smile and warm demeanor. We toured the building, which was clean, bright and inviting, and we were greeted by all staff who we passed in the hallways. We were fortunate to see an apartment, too, as a current tenant happily showed her apartment. The entire experience was wonderful, and I was very impressed. My friend was also impressed, and I am speaking for both of us. Shannon invited us back into her office to answer questions and when we departed, she handed us a gift bag with a thank you note and their signature cookies! The cookies were very tasty, and we look forward to my friend possibly moving into Meadow Lakes this year. Thank you

I ran into the Director Tonee at the Care providers Conference. We talked about new changes she has made since being there and how great her staff are. She is so knowledgeable about trends in the assisted living world. Give Meadow lakes a call and schedule a tour.

Meadow Lakes is a definite yes- living, working and volunteering! The employees are the top of the line and care so much about the residents and their family members! Tonee, the Director, has created such an incredible environment. Shannon, the Community Relations Coordinator, is such a kind, warm, energetic, positive woman who wants to learn and support future residents with their wants and needs. Victory and Tina, Nursing, are incredible with timeliness, valuable assessments and caring for their residents. The food is delicious- homemade! And the environment in the whole community is welcoming, smells fresh and large apartments are a bonus. Thank you to this wonderful Meadow Lakes team for being a resource for the Rochester and surrounding communities!

My brother stayed at Meadow Lakes assisted living for 5 months in 2021. Our family was thrilled with the services provided. The apartments were clean and the rooms had a good floor plan. He had someone check on him several times every day. The food was tasty, the staff was kind and helpful. The nurses Amy and Tina were especially understanding and caring. They were very involved with his care and I relied heavily on them to advise me how best to help my brother. It was unfortunate that my brothers health quickly declined (no fault of the facility). With that said I am extremely disappointed in the billing part of the business. My brother went to the hospital on Nov 30 and did not return to Meadow Lakes because they could not accommodate the level of care needed. We had already paid the December apartment rent plus December medical charges. We’ve been waiting for a refund of the December charges paid. It’s my understanding that when a resident is unable to return after a hospital visit because care cannot be provided then the resident is not responsible for the rent regardless of the facility’s policy. And certainly the medical services charged/paid for but never provided must be refunded. They either don’t answer the phone or they don’t return calls when messages are left. It was a fantastic start there. It’s too bad the end was not (and is still not) handled appropriately. I’d give the day-to-day services 5 stars. But how they have handled the final billing is a 1 star. NOTE: shortly after the above post the financial office (Jaybird) contacted me and made it right. We received a full refund for December. Yay!
