I was just there visiting my grandmother when I overheard a lovely med tech by the name of Tier laughing and conversing with a dining room full of other residents. They all seemed to genuinely LOVE her and was evident the feeling is reciprocated by this lovely lady. It's so nice to see someone who enjoys their job and isn't there for just a paycheck.

I have worked for Broadwell for a year as a part time employee in memory care and I must honestly confess how this is a good and fulfilling place for me to work for. Firstly this place invests in capacitating its employees to improve quality of residential care . Apart from the continuous trainings that are mandatory to take , the management closely monitors the performance of employees providing mentoring and coaching. They have instituted care giver heads who are amazing , patiently guiding us on the processes , monitoring clients safety all the time . Having at least 1 management person available and reachable 24/7 personally gives me confidence in my work - As they come handy when needed even during the weekend . They also have a continuous monthly feedback mechanism where us employees are given a safe space to anonymously contribute to how we should positively work together, take care of residents, and troubleshoot shoot any challenges. Because the management has shown a keen interest to involve us in decision making process and providing us with feedback, I feel I'm in a positive environment where my work is valued and where we all contribute to making Broadwell a welcoming and safe home for our residents.

Making the decision to move a parent from their home of 60 years is never easy. After much research, we were fortunate to find Broadwell for my mother. The staff was/is incredibly welcoming, helpful and reassuring. The space is beautiful. My mother made friends immediately and has been more active and social in the past few months than I've seen in years. Words cannot express what a relief it is for our family to have her close, and THRIVING again! David, Gerry, and Mary Ellen, Melissa and Dori, are names that I think of fondly, though everyone has been amazing.

Broadwell Memory Care bent over backwards for our loved ones! The front desk people are always smiling and helpful. Stephanie took us on the tour more than once so our aunt could try and remember what it looked like. Cassie was so helpful and always called back to answer any questions. Penny did the intake and was so kind and sweet to our uncle and aunt. David, the maintenance man went out of his way to help us move our aunt to another room after our uncle passed. Diablo (spelling is different) was there for our uncle at that time. Lulu and Cassandra and others continue to ensure our aunt stays busy with activities. All in all we would definitely recommend Broadwell Memory Care for your loved ones. All in all we would definitely recommend Broadwell Memory Care for your loved ones.

I love love love working here I work in the kitchen. Staff is everything our residents are just so sweet. I love when we have our happy hour. The trips they go on are so fun all you hear when they come back how fun the activities were.

Both my parents were there and we moved them out within six months. A few good people on staff but a lot that seem to care less. Meals are absolutely terrible. The place looks good from the outside but they are like a start up that doesn't have their act together. Hopefully they will improve.

Amazing facility with great residents, staff and leadership.
June 2022
This may well be a wonderful place but that would be in the future. As of July 2nd 2022 they have a lot of growing up to do. The staff that takes care of your loved ones for toileting, pharmacy and assisted living do a good job, when they show up to do it. They have issues with scheduling and staying on that schedule. Your loved one may be issued a fob button that they wear around their necks. Presumably this would be for emergencies when the loved one needs more immediate assistance. Many of the current residents use them to get their scheduled assistance as the scheduling doesn't really work correctly yet. We have had issues where the button was pressed and nobody shows up for more than 6 hours. The system that these Fobs run on has broken down multiple times leaving residents in danger since they believe that if they press the button someone will be there soon but if the system is down or they aren't paying attention nobody arrives. There is also a Emergency Pull string in the bathroom of each unit as well as the public restrooms. Presumably if pulled you'd expect assistance quickly however they are ignored. We have experience of a resident pulling theirs and after 4 hours when someone finally came to assist them the attendant just pushed the button back up turning off the blinking red light. They have a Bistro in the lobby that may be very handy someday however it isn't utilized at all yet so advertising it is somewhat misleading. It is not is use at this time due to not enough people living there yet. The bar is a great idea and every Thursday they have a happy hour that is free to residents and their guests. They are actually doing this and this will likely get better with time as more residents join up. Other than for happy hour the bar isn't really utilized. They weren't thinking when setting up the doors to their outdoor patio. While they are working to address the oversight currently residents must place a stick in the door to get back in since they didn't place any fob units on the exterior doors thereby locking the residents out if they go out to use the patio or putting green. Then they need to walk all the way around to the front of the building to get back in. Currently the front door is broken, the Fob that they give you to open it works but the door doesn't unlock properly. Residents must then use the side entrance to gain access. Unfortunately their family members that have Fobs don't work on the side door. There is sometimes no way to gain access to the building if nobody is at the front desk which is only occupied during business hours. After that getting someone to show up to let you in is spotty. Resident's do not have a way to open the doors from their apartments so they'd need to come down to let you in which for those in assisted living could be hard to impossible. The food in the restaurant is nothing to write home about. They are working to make this better and they have hired more staff for that so this might improve in the future. There is a lot for them to improve on and perhaps as they fill up they will address some of these issues but it has a long way to go. The good points are the assisted living staff is friendly and professional. When they show up they do a good job. The units are all new so they are very nice. They have a arts room and a large room with tables and a big TV to watch movies as a community which is nice. Hopefully in the near future they will be able to remedy some of these issues however this Broadwell is not the only properly being managed by the company that owns it and if you're going to open an assisted living facility and market it with all the goodies you either need to explain to potential residents that what they're being sold isn't ready yet or you need to take the hit, make it all available and understand that you'll do better when more residents move in. We really want to love this place and perhaps we will once they sort out their current issues.

Broadwell is a beautiful community with amazing staff. I have been to events at the community where I have interacted with residents and family members of residents. They all speak very highly of the community and the support team there. I know any referral I make will be taken care of by their experienced and most importantly truly caring team.
