I joined Brookdale back in June of 2023. I've read a lot of the reviews and of the reviews that have negative comments many of them are old or no longer relevant. We have amazing staff that are dedicated and caring. Our Director of Nursing is compassionate and kind and our staff works very hard everyday to bring joy to our residents. The housekeeper does a great job making our building shine and the kitchen staff is busy coming up with creative meals to keep our residents healthy and energized. This is a hard and demanding industry that not many people choose to work in and those who do rarely get the credit they deserve. Plymouth is a great community that is clean, well staffed and offers great care. I'm proud to be able to work with people that love to make a difference in those we serve!

(Note: my previous review was removed for unknown reasons so I am submitting again). My mother was here for less than a year before I moved her to a different facility. Brookdale promised me that I would be the daughter again (and that they would take care of her). This never happened. Cleaning of her room rarely occurred! My mother's room had ants on numerous occasions. Her toilet overflowed on an occasion (without them telling me until I arrived). When I entered her room, there was waste material on her bathroom floor that had also spread to the carpet area. UNACCEPTABLE! The head nurse has no business being in charge of care. The first time that I was there with my mom to make sure she took a bath, the head nurse got my mom into the bathtub but couldn't get the door to close. She called for maintenance while my mom sat NAKED in the tub. She didn't even think to provide my mom with a towel or robe to cover her up. (of course I did!!). I would definitely stay away from this facility! I am giving it 2 stars because the Activities Director is fantastic!!

I have only had WONDERFUL experiences with this community! Their Health and Wellness Director (head nurse) is amazing, full of compassion and knowledge. Along with their Executive Director is one of the best! I would HIGHLY recommend this facility to everyone.

I love this place and staff! My husband was at a moderate stage in his dementia. Much more than I could handle alone at home. The executive director and other staff said they can improve his quality of life. In 2 months, I’d say he is back to beginning Alzheimers! He is very social now, eats regularly, takes his medicine regularly, continues to join in the exercise gatherings daily, and the other activities, sleeps at night and only a short nap during the day. After about the 3rd week, we saw a big change! No more sleeping or dozing 18-22 hrs a day, not nearly as depressed, doesn’t skip meals any more and takes his meds for them. The family is very pleased. His only complaint has been that the food isn’t as good as our home cooking, but he has gained over 10lbs! Go figure. The highlight each day is the meal time when the residence get together at their table and get a chance to know each other. I’d say the number one factor in my husband’s improvement is the sociability of residence. The staff is great in promoting this. He greets the folks who cannot be real responsive due to their dementia or limitations, and to see them open their eyes with emotion and acknowledge his presence, makes me feel he is making a difference, he has a purpose.

We moved our Mother (85 then) to MN from PA last Holiday Season due to challenges with her memory and safety. The original facility in Plymouth, MN was quite the challenge, but also assisted living. It wasn't a good fit. Mom needed more direct care, love and guidance. Our family has found Brookdale Plymouth to be a vibrant community for our mother (singing, dancing, gardening) with individuals who have significant industry experience (very important) and a deep and caring heart. Mom is very happy and we are as well

Our mother, Patricia, was at brookdale for approximately 1-1/2 years. We experienced nothing but love and respect the entire time. We would never hesitate to refer them to a friend or otherwise. Paul McGinty

Giving this wonderful bunch of folks a thumbs up. I've been able to breathe a sigh of relief after bringing my wife, who is in advanced stages of early onset Alzheimer's, to Brookdale Plymouth. In her previous facility there were constant conflicts with other residents, poor sanitation in the bathrooms, inadequate food quantity/quality and basically nothing to do but roam the hallway. Activities were non existent. Brookdale provides so much more. Several of the staff have been employed there more than 10 years and I find all the staff to be open and responsive to concerns. In visiting several times a week I find that they are consistent in their programming for residents and can see the joy a common activity brings. Earlier this year they initiated a program to identify causes of falls in residents rooms using cameras and AI to alert and analyze fall situations. Happy to have found a caring place that enables a community. Keep it up Brookdale!

I literally cannot say enough wonderful words about this facility. It brings tears to my eyes how well put together and caring the entire staff is, how HAPPY my daddy is, how friendly and sweet the residents are. I could go on and on, but from the very moment we walked in to tour this facility, we knew it was the one. The empathy the staff has for our loved ones and us caregivers is out of this world. I don’t worry one second anymore about my dads well-being now, he is right where he needs to be and is the happiest I’ve seen him in years!! Thank you Brookdale of Plymouth, you ALL are angels!!

My mother was a resident at Brookdale Plymouth. Our experience was very positive. The staff is incredibly helpful and caring. From my perspective, the most important characteristic in selection of a memory care facility is the staff and Brookdales is top notch. Everything they promised us up-front was delivered. We also used their hospice services which were a blessing.
