Both of my parents have been at Friendship Village for over five years. They have transitioned from independent care to assisted to memory and nursing care. The staff is fabulous, the properties are great and overall, it is a great community. We have parents at another residence that is very nice, but Friendship Village is the absolute best in our experience.

My parents have enjoyed their time at Friendship Village over the years, including independent living and then in various health care units. The staff has been attentive, caring and professional, and we have been grateful for all they've done. We've learned about the importance of understanding the stages of care and how the different health care areas work in advance, as often it is explained to residents but not always as clear to family members. But overall, we've been quite happy with the experience.

My family has had a connection with Friendship Village for years now. My parents went to live there about 20 years ago. They started in an apartment and have utilized every one of its services from Rehab to Assisted Living and now skilled nursing care. I have seen nothing but love, skilled care and compassion from all the staff we have encountered. That includes staff in housekeeping and the custodial department, kitchen staff, all medical staff and administration. They have been there every step of the way with us on our parents’ journeys. Now, as we enter the final stages of this journey, the staff who direct quality of life issues: social workers, activities personnel, again the awesome CNA’s and nursing staff and the amazing Grace Hospice crew have been unbelievably supportive and caring. My parents’ choice to go to Friendship Village years ago has been the greatest gift any parent could give a child.

I had the pleasure of working alongside Friendship Villages leadership team in 2020 and the early part of 2021. They hired our company to plan and conduct the relocation of 41 residents into one of their newly-constructed buildings. Im happy to report that, from a B2B perspective, their entire staff exhibited great care and concern for the well-being of their residents during a stressful, yet exciting, time. Designing and constructing a beautiful senior living building is a nice accomplishment, but it doesnt matter if you dont have the caring, compassionate staff in that building. Friendship Village managed to succeed in both areas.

Now especially during this time of crisis, we as residents are well protected and well cared for. Not withstanding the fact that my wifes mother lived here for 11 years, we tell one another almost daily what a good choice we made to make this place our home.

We have lived at Friendship Village Bloomington for over 13 years, we are very satisfied with what is offered here. We consider moving here was one of the best decisions that we have ever made.The food here is top notch, we have at least 6 entrees to choose from daily and all are included with the rent.Having a full health care right under the same roof is most convenient.They have loads ofentertainment including live entertainment which is also includedBoth the staff and residents are a blessing to have contact withThey furnish all types of exercises complete with instructors.Come see for yourselves, you will not be disappointed.Schrenk

I really enjoy working out in the exercise classes at Friendship Village. They even put them on the TVs in the uncertain times of quarantine for Covid-19. I also really enjoy the cooking, the chefs do a tremendous job, and the service to the rooms at specified times is very well coordinated. Being able to see my friends at a distance is also very nice.

I visited several different places for senior living options before selecting Friendship Village of Bloomington, and I have never regretted my decision to make it my retirement home. As a nonprofit continuing care retirement community(CCRC), the Village offers independent residential living, assisted living, skilled nursing, long-term care, and memory care - all in the same campus. The team members who work with us are fabulous! Even with the pandemic going on, they make every effort to support us physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually. Activities are somewhat limited now, due to social distancing, but there are many ways offered to keep us active and engaged, while still successfully protecting the community from an influx of the virus. Hopefully, we will be able to return to the times when there were so many activities available, that it was hard to know how to schedule our days.The health and well-being of the residents is primary. In my middle 70s, I am a youngster here, as many of my friends in their 90s still live independently and are very active. I had heard only good things about Friendship Village before I made my decision, and I have never regretted it. I felt welcomed from the minute that I walked in the door, and had made new friends even before I moved in. I highly recommend retirement life at Friendship Village of Bloomington.

We have lived here for 13 years and never have we had the experience we are going through now. They have been fabulous here in keeping us safe from the virus. The housekeepers and the culinary crew have done all they can. Clean the apartments with disinfectant wipes and spray. The culinary staff make great meals and they deliver them to our apartments. Then they go so far as to have great video exercise classes. Our Executive Director, David Miller, has kept us informed as to the health condition of the Health Care and the independent living residents. He helps to keep our moral up, as have ALL of the staff. We couldnt be better cared for, and our families all are so happy that we are being takengood care ofmore could we ask for, except for this thing to BE OVER.Pat and Larry Wood

There are a lot of team members with longevity here. It is a pleasure to come to work with peers who share the same passion in working with Seniors. We have great benefits and have frequent communication updates between meetings held at various hours and days, communication boards, and an electronic communication system as well.

We have lived here for about seven months and are very comfortable living here.The staff is very professional and most helpful. The dining room staff are terrific, particularly helpful and courteous.The women who clean are apartment do an excellent cleaning.The staff is doing an excellent job keeping us safe during this covid19 pandemic.

Worked last summer as a receptionist, really liked ir, they treat their residents like movie stars catering to their every need. If u can afford it, heres the best place for your loved ones. Hospital care, assisted living, etc.

My grandma lived here for several years till she passed away Monday night. Very friendly staff and theyre well cared for. My family and I are thankful for the staff for the excellent care my grandma received.

Friendship Village has it all! The culture is energetic and upbeat, the people are friendly and happy, the food is great the staff is well trained and affable and the activities are awesome! The director, David Miller received the leadership of the year honor and he serves it. This is one amazing residence, very progressive, attractive and thoughtful.

Excellent place to work and perfect place for residents at any stage of senior living. Beautiful facilities with every amenity you could want, from a swimming pool to an indoor golf simulator to a woodworking shop. I love going to work every day with staff who truly care about the residents and all of their needs.

We moved my father in law into their memory care unit. They have been wonderful! The staff is very nice, professional, and very well trained in dealing with dementia. They take excellent care of him and have constant activities to keep him engaged. The rooms are very nice and the whole place is really clean and well kept. The grounds are beautiful with a small lake, lots of trees, flowers, and nice walking paths. We feel very confident in Friendship Village. We are so happy to have found this place to care for my father in law.

I moved here a year and four months ago, and it is one of the best decisions Ive ever made. I have made so many new connections and everyone of the residents and staff have something to offer. I am never lonely and there is always so much to do.....concerts, lectures, classes, movies, trips. I was even able to bring my kitty cat with me. The pool & instructors are exceptional. The food as well is healthy & delicious. I never expected to be so calm, energized and happy!
