My name is Malcolm and I am part of a musical duo called CODA. We play at Havenwood of Maple Grove twice a year and I am very impressed with this particular senior community. The staff are very cordial and most helpful. Residents come across as very engaged in everyday life and are energetic and fun to be around . You can tell that they are well cared for. The Life Enrichment department under the leadership of Emma is deeply appreciated by residents. This is a place worth checking out by anyone looking for a place to live. Definitely one of the finer senior communities in the Minneapolis area.

My mom lives in The Cabin, the memory care unit, at Havenwood. The staff and residents alike are caring, supportive, and so loving toward one another. The engaging activities, the time-appropriate music, and the personal interactions help residents access their happiest memories. While Mom's short-term memory may not enable her to recall her new friends' names, when she sees everyone, she says, "These people are like family."

My in-laws have lived at Havenwood of Maple Grove for the past three years, and it has truly been one of the best decisions they could have made. From the very beginning, they were welcomed into a warm, friendly community where they’ve made wonderful friendships”meeting their best friends has been such a gift. The staff is consistently kind, caring, and helpful. A special thank you to Georgia at the front desk, who is absolutely amazing! She always greets everyone with a smile, is incredibly helpful, and makes residents and families feel genuinely welcome. There is always something going on at Havenwood. The variety of activities keeps residents engaged, active, and connected. My father-in-law even started the residents’ newsletter and serves on the Residents Council, which speaks to how much Havenwood encourages residents to get involved and make the community their own. He and my mother-in-law also enjoy using the fitness center and look forward to their weekly card games with friends. As family members, we have such peace of mind knowing they are surrounded by caring people, wonderful neighbors, and opportunities to stay active and involved. Both my parents live here at Havenwood of Maple Grove in assisted-living. Their apartment is beautiful and spacious. My parents have repeatedly said they feel safe and enjoy being there. They really appreciate the help they are given. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The administrative and nursing staff are very positive and take action when issues or concerns arise. My dad has been in Havenwood of Maple Grove for 3 years. I am very happy with the management, Joelle, Linda, Ksana and the whole staff on site . The staff is excellent to work with and very helpful! When we needed assisted living for our parents (in their 90s) we were fortunate to find Havenwood. It had the services we needed, fun activities, and dedicated, welcoming staff. The apartment was just the right size and we felt very confident that our parents were safe and could could get help or assistance quickly. It was also very quiet and comfortable. They had a great cafeteria that served healthy and tasty meals. They made it really convenient for my mom to call down and order dinner and scoot down to pick it up. We appreciated that service. We used (for free!) the community room a number of times for family celebrations. It was so easy for my parents to take the elevator down to join the party. And the room was set up perfectly for our larger family. The employees are great! From the front desk to facilities, to the activities team and everyone in between. We were impressed with the attention and care they give the residents. We highly recommend Havenwood Maple Grove.

We moved Mom to Havenwood in December of 2022. Having lived independently for 89 years, the transition to memory care was made less difficult by the caring staff and caregivers. We worked together to establish a care plan which would best support Mom's interests and needs and also a menu to satisfy her very particular taste buds. Staff encourages Mom to participate in activities and socialize with other residents. She enjoys her bi-monthly visits to the hair salon and monthly manicure/pedicures, a service option offered onsite. Her PCP comes to her as well. During the cold winter months, it is comforting to know Mom doesn't need to brave the snow and cold to receive these services! Mom's apartment is light filled and spacious and she enjoys displaying her art for staff and family to view and comment on. She has great friends to sit with and enjoys the ice cream treats Lauren brings her way as well as her piano music at mealtime. Lauren, the Director of Memory Care is quick to respond to requests and reaches out with any needs, concerns, or ideas for making Mom's life at Havenwood a better experience. We are very grateful for the ongoing care and support Mom (and our family) receive during this vital time of her life and extend thanks to each member of the care team We appreciate YOU!

A have nothing but great things to say about Havenwood of Maple Grove, specifically "The Cabin", memory care unit. My father was a resident there for a little over 2 years. The staff was very kind and courteous, and was always there to give support and assistance. The common areas of The Cabin were always clean and inviting, and always filled with activities throughout the day. It was of great comfort to know, that my father was in such good hands with the staff here. A special shoutout to Lauren Peterson. Lauren was always there to help and give support when needed. Much gratitude for the care and comfort of my father in his final years.

My parents have lived at Havenwood of Maple Grove for about three years now. They both started out in Independent Living and then around the Jan/Feb 2004 timeframe it was decided by Dad and all of Mom’s caregivers that it was time for Mom to move into the Cabin (Memory Care Wing). While this was probably the hardest decision Dad ever had to make in his life, the family knows it was the best; and a necessary decision, for the benefit of both Mom and Dad’s future health. The personnel in the Cabin have been simply outstanding and continue to treat Mom with the dignity she deserves. There are activities almost every day; many of which Dad is able to attend and participate in with Mom. This has been very important to both of them as Dad still gets to see Mom every day. Every Sunday morning Dad goes down to Mom’s apartment in the Cabin and they watch the video stream from the church in their hometown which we attended from the time I was ten years old (I’m 67 now). Then they watch another live stream service from the church where my Niece is now a pastor. This is a special time for both of them. Though Mom may not remember things the way she used to, her face still lights up every time she sees Dad. In closing, I would just like to say again that the entirety of the staff at Havenwood have been phenomenal in the dealings with and care of BOTH Mom and Dad. I’ve spent a few one month stints at Havenwood while Dad was recovering from Pacemaker installation and Mom was recovering from a broken hip and when it was time to move Mom into the Cabin. Special shout out to Lauren Peterson (Directory of Memory Care), and Ksana Santos (Business Office Manager), who have effortlessly dealt with my endless stream of questions regarding what the family needed to do next. They have made us feel like Havenwood family and have given us the comfort and confidence that my Mom and Dad are in the best of care. My parents have lived here at Havenwood for almost 3 years. Life is so much easier for them since the move. As a daughter it’s so nice to know that they are safe and cared for. When making the decision to move them here we loved all the newer finishes along with all of the activities. My parents love attending Bingo, birthday happy hours along with the different events they host here. My dad is also a Vet and they have monthly get togethers for the Vets in the building along with a wall of all the vet’s pictures on the 1st floor. To top it off they also have a great exercise program they enjoy. Kerry is absolutely awesome and keeps them in great shape. It was a hard decision to move our parents out of their home of 54 years. But they love living here and they have made lots of friends. Such a blessing!

If you like to do pretty much of the same thing day after day, week after week, this is your place! I call it snotty and lame. Over priced, and if you want privacy do not move here! Several occasions of pounding on my door 8 am staff yelling. 1 time nursing came in to give me my medicine, only problem is that they don't dispense my medication! Pretty scary! No handicap parking in the parking lot, except for 2 spots that allow for I think 3 hours. So that leaves you with having to pay a $75 parking fee for underground parking! It's like high school all over again, from the cliques to the administrative politics. This is my opinion only!

Waited with our mom for dinner. Took an hour. My mother says that this is very common. Food choices are not healthy. She previously lived in a place that had a wonderful salad bar that was up for every meal. I highly recommend this. We are told that they almost always run out of the nightly special. Happened again last night. Why not order more instead of always running out? The feeling of the place is an institutional space. There is no feeling of Joy or abundance.

About a year ago, we brought my dad, who needed 24 hour care and was diagnosed with MDS, to Havenwood. At the time, the doctors told us he had about 4 weeks to live. However, due to the care that he received here, he ended up living for another year. None of us expected to spend another Christmas or birthday with him yet but the care he received here went above and beyond and we had those moments again. Now, my dad did pass a week ago, but even though he's no longer there, the staff is still doing everything they can to help us with his Celebration of Life ceremony which will be held in their conference room. The staff is just so helpful and wonderful to deal with. If you're unsure about this place, i highly recommend it. They just might be able to extend your loved one's life.

My wife and I have been residents of Havenwood of Maple Grove for 2+ years now, she in memory care and me in an independent apartment. The memory care unit and its staff are second to none. They are caring and competent professionals who have treated my wife with dignity and love. The leadership here is committed to continuous improvement and it shows. Staff have been remarkably stable, each performing their responsibliities well. End of life issues and decisions are heart wrenching but there is no other place I would rather be at this stage of life.
