My friend was in the Transitional Care Unit for a month. The care he received was excellent. The Clinical Manager was professional, knowledgeable, caring, and helpful. I had many questions about wound care and both the Clinical Manager and Director of Nursing were patient and able to help me understand and have confidence in the process of healing. The nurses and nursing assistants understood their positions and were kind to my friend who also struggled with cognitive issues. As it was time to leave transitional care, the social worker managed the transition skillfully. There are services offered on site that I had not expected ~a team of doctors visiting regularly, a dentist, eye doctor, and also a staff member to make appointments and manage transport services. I'm extremely grateful to all at Hopkins Health Services.

My father was in this facility in the memory care unit. I first had him there when he left the hospital in August 2020 in a transitional capacity, meaning while my family and I looked for an assisted living community. In October 2020, I transferred him to assisted living so he could have his own room, furniture and hopefully a bit more comfort. My father did not adjust well to assisted living and to make a long story short, I transferred him back to Hopkins Health Services in January 2021 because he had done well there when he was in transitional care. Now, just over six months later I am going to have to move him again. It's partly because of his own needs, but the main driver of it is that i feel he is neglected. He's in soiled clothing due to incontinence too much and for what I fear is too long, he stinks from not bathing when I pick him up and I want more and better quality care for him. Despite the couple of staff members that I speak to as the caregiver for my Dad and like, I want more for my Dad. Also, he came out of there with less clothes in general than he went in. He had to go to the hospital, so they "cleaned" out his room. I received a box of clothes and his most treasured item - all the other personal things were missing. Now that he's at another long term care facility I realized he has no socks and his winter coat that he went in with last winter of a very good quality is gone, too.

I brought my mother here on 2/1/20 and have been telling them every day since day one that she had an eye doctor appointment on 2/4/20. When I showed up to pick her up today, they were not prepared for her to leave and told me that they did not know that she had an appointment. One lady with long dark hair even accused me of not coming there very often. I have been there to see my mom every single day except for yesterday and have repeatedly told every person who I encountered about her appointment. Until today I was very satisfied with the services provided there. I do NOT recommend this place at all!!!

Had a wonderful visit today for almost 7 hours. Staff happy, smiling, inviting. Spoke with several residents very pleased with therapy and nursing. Clean, no odors. Sheppards pie for lunch...thank you for hospitiality!

Reviewed by another resident; AUSTIN MCGINLEY I was reluctant to engage Hopkins Health Center, After all, I have lived 10 minutes away and had never heard of the joint ! Oh well, give it and therapy staff a try. Say what ? Yup, my fall, breaking my back in 2 places; a true blessing in disguise !!! I cannot adequately praise the therapists ! They are professionals who can work "miracles" This 86 year old feels like he has the bod of a 65 yr old ! On the medical side, the entire staff is very competent. They offer not only:"Time for your meds" (Cripes... at 3:00 a.m. ! ! ) But, maybe more importantly "Are you ok" Ergo, from the administrator, Talia, and through line staff.... 5 star + rating. TRY IT; YOU'LL LIKE IT ! ::) AUSTIN MCGINLEY

My father was in this facilty last spring and summer. This was such a stressful time, and we had excellent care, and recommedations from HHS. They did everything they could possibly do to make his time there safe and supportive to my dad. When they realized his alzheimers was more than we initially thought, they moved him to the memory care side, when they realized the medications were off, they worked with hospice team to make my dad more comfortable. I found their knowledge and experience to be beyond helpful. They did care for my dad, and my dads needs. While it is impossible to be with each resident at all times, I felt there was always someone near by.

I have never been a part of a more compassionate, supportive, hardworking, and committed team. Each staff member genuinely cares for the residents and strives to make decisions with the residents in mind. This facility is over looked from suggestive reviews and appearance, but once you step inside you will see teamwork at its best.
