My dad moved into Tradition 8 months ago when the assisted living facility he had been living at closed. Anytime you have to move a loved one to a new facility it can be a little scary. Our Girl Scout troop has been partnering with Tradition for the last 4 years. They have activities to connect the residents and the scouts. This is beneficial to both as some residents do not have family close by and some girls don’t have grandparents close by. They do a great job of keeping their residents active and involved.

My mother and father moved from their house to Tradition independent living a couple years ago and they love it there! We love that this facility is an aging in place home where they can receive services if needed. They still cook in their apartment, but they do eat some meals in the dinner.

After 3yrs and a handful of changes the facility feels more focused on their Aging in Place approach. Activities are more focused on the current senior population looking for social connections. While not utilized by our family member the available weekly shopping bus, monthly dine out event are fantastic options. The community dining room is more like a restaurant, offering more than just 1 meal option each service - meal plans are optional. They even have an onsite ministore for treats and essentials between shopping - just wish it was more centrally located in the hub of activity. If you’re looking for all the fancy tech savvy, physical fitness extras (swimming, sophisticated machines), and computer room this isn’t quite what you’re looking for. If you want to feel like part of a community (where you know many of the neighbors, meet for coffee, reminisce, play cards/games, crafts, or meet up for a meal - all without leaving the building you’ve found the right one.

I've never been in a home before but when I came to look at the place it was spotless. Since I've been here, everyone is like family. There are different programs all the time. My mom living and she and my familycould not be happier with our choice. Everyone there is so kind, hands-on and caring. The facility is extremely nice clean and really feels cozy inside. The apartments are very spacious and have everything one could need. The nursing staff and the dining staff are top notch as well. They have a van to take residents shopping and an in-house hair salon that my mom really enjoys being able to use. A special shout out to Crystal, she has gone above and beyond to help us with everything that we need Since my mom moved in A few years back. I cannot say enough good things about Tradition.I highly highly recommend looking into Tradition for any of your loved ones, I know they will love it too.

The first thing my daughters and I noticed when walking into Tradition for the first time was the friendliness, not only of the staff, but also of the residents. Clearly this was a happy place to work and live. Last week was my first year anniversary living in this vibrant community and I have been grateful each and every day of the 12 months for making the decision to reside here. There are many activities available from learning foreign languages, meditation, movies, book club, exercise and Bible study ( to name a few). Best of all, if there is something that is of special interest to a resident that isn’t on the ever-changing schedule, the staff will help to identify other persons who share your interest and help to establish a group. However, there is absolutely no pressure to take part in any activity if you not wish to do so. You can be as active or inactive as you please. I would be remiss if I do not mention the excellence of the dining room. Each day the tables are set with linen for the evening meal, which is only right since the surroundings should match the quality of the cuisine being served. If you are looking to find a true, happy home where people care about one another, please come for a visit.

My mother is 95 and has lived at Tradition since April of 2015. A year earlier, we had visited this facility and three others anticipating the time when she would have to leave her home. This was the nicest and also the least expensive of the four. I consider myself a discerning person and can sometimes be a bit hard to please, but I have not had one complaint about any part of the services and facilities they provide during the time Mom has lived here. If you are considering a move, I would like you to know what a wonderful place Tradition is. The first thing I noticed when mom first moved in was the friendly atmosphere and that almost instantly, the staff called her by name. Then, it wasn't long before they were calling me by name also even though I was just visiting several times a week. Speaking of the facility, it was originally constructed with the plan that the apartments would be sold. They made each unit spacious with high ceilings, a full kitchens, a large bath, laundry facilities and a balcony. Meals in the dinning room are of the "fine dinning" variety with cloth table cloths and napkins. There is always a featured meal, but residents can always order from the menu. Mom always tells me how good the food is. Her health has improved due to the good nutrition. My mother is at the highest level of care. The nursing department employs a wonderful staff. We meet quarterly for an evaluation of mom's needs and the plan that we have put together is followed to the "T". They insure that she attends exercise classes, and on alternating days, they take her for walks in the halls. She receives help with dressing and showering, they manage her medications, her apartment is cleaned once a week and someone comes in to do her laundry. Mom always tells me how they "pamper" her. If not for the care she receives, she would be in a nursing home at twice the price. The greatest benefit for me is the peace of mind that Tradition provides. They have my phone number and will call me to report an incident or when supplies need to be replenished. I highly recommend this wonderful facility!

Last spring my sister and I where looking for a place for my parents to live as they both have dementia. My father also has mobility issues and uses a walker. He needed a handy cap bathroom facilities, which they didn't have in their current apartment The day we went to look at different assisted living places, Tradition was the first place we looked at .As soon as we walked in my sister and I both said it felt like home! We had several other places to check out that day, just to make sure we covered all options After reviewing the different places, we decided to take our parents to the first place we had seen, for them to make the final choice!. They took a tour of facilities and the apartment. They liked the layout of the apartment which was open, the kitchen looks out onto the living room! Not super big but great for both of them! They liked that there was a patio door and balcony.,which brings the outdoors in. The apartment is full of light.. My mom was so excited that she had a dishwasher and a laundry room! The hallways and pathways are wide and wheelchair accessible in the apartment as well the rest of the building . After viewing the apartment we where treated to a free lunch! They have a full service restaurant that serves three meals a day.The food was excellent! As resident you get 10 meals a month included in your rent. This has been a blessing because shortly after my parents moved in mom was told she couldn't cook any more. Before they moved in both my parents where losing weight ( not intentional ) now they are gaing it back. The staff has been awesome and so helpful! Special kudos to Jennifer for making the transition easier for them and helping us with the paper work. Also kudos to Brian (head chef) and his staff for making such a wonderful lunch that day !

We only had to make this one stop when searching for senior living for my parents. The apartments are adorable and the bathrooms are HUGE! plenty of room for walkers in the apartments and in the hallways too. Decor is tasteful and it makes you feel like you live in luxury suites. All appliances including washer and dryer IN the units. Chef on Staff! This is a community, not just an 'apartment building for seniors'. Very clean and staff is very accommodating. You can even customize (for a fee) your apartments..somewhat. Found them through "A place for Mom". My husband and I are too young to move in there, but, he asked...how old do you have to be; we want to move in too! lol..
