Our situation is a bit special - I live abroad very far from my relative and searched for a tranquil but good organized place for my relative. We checked several options, we found Troy , Brookdale as a place what my relative and me also liked. From the beggining Ms.Shannon from sales was very kind and patient and natural, explained all possibilites, received us several times and showed different rooms. When decision made , also met with Ms.Candice and Mr.Troy, and Mr.Ralph , received also warm welcome. Need to mention the employees in the building as well, they all were very kind and heartful .. So I trust in the place and the employees, that I left my relative in good hands .. He also felt this , when I had to leave him there..and return to Europe . Hope he will be a part of the Brookdale family , will find his way there. We are and will be nearly in a daily connection so I will have info how he can live there in the future... Both of my parents moved into the Brookdale Memory Care facility in July. The siblings and I have been very pleased with the care they have received since moving in. The Brookdale employees I have had contact with all are very helpful in getting my parents the care they need, from Jan at the reception desk , Michael and Jessica in administration, Tim in the healthcare office and especially Zeny and Dorothy the caregivers. I would recommend Brookdale Troy to any family that is looking for a safe secure memory care facility for their loved ones suffering from dementia/alzheimers disease.

Coming back to leave a review because i worked for agency here for a while. The MEMORY CARE unit is ran by a lady named Shayna (forgive me if i spelled it wrong) & she is amazing!!!! After working at several buildings, i realized she was one of the best supervisors. She’s organized, sweet, helpful and she LOVES her residents. She never lets anything go wrong. If this place wasn’t so far from me, i’d definitely work here.

Making the decision to move mom from an independant living facility to a memory care unit was very hard. I checked with several places and Brookdale of Troy stood out for several reasons. First of all I had a recommendation from a friend who's mom was there several years ago. I also found out that a lot of the staff at Troy Brookdale have been there for many years. I felt that spoke volumes. I then set up a visit. Mike Crane from Troy Brookdale helped us out a lot. He set up a visit in which he introduced us to a lot of the staff and showed us around and helped in deciding which type of room would be best for mom. Everyone was very professional , friendly and caring. Mom is there now and doing well. The adjustment wasn't easy for mom or for me either but the staff at Brookdale has made it a great experience. They are so caring for their residents and for the families as well.They have made the transition as easy as it could be. I have to say that I was concerned about moving my 100 year old mother who is developing dementia but now that she's been there a short time I know it was the right move. I have to give a special thanks to Dorthy who is one of the care givers. She saw me one day and could tell that I was not having a good day. She took me aside and explained about dementia. It was a big help. And also Ruby who gave mom a manicure her first morning. The staff makes sure all the residents get to know one another so everyone feels comfortable. My mom has been at Brookdale for close to 3 years. The staff has been wonderful and attentive. I was really impressed with the way they handled the pandemic and the precautions that they took. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a family member.

I have recently moved my family member into Brookdale Memory Care (Troy). I'm very satisfied with all the care and attention that the staff has provided. It's nice to be able to call and talk to a staff member with any questions or concerns I have. I go to visit on various days and times and my family member is always taken care of.

My mother moved here in October, 2019. She has started a new, positive chapter of her life by being here. Alissa, the Executive Director goes to great lengths to engage her in the activities my mother might like. Georgie, the activities director, keeps her phone and TV remote working. Renata, the nurse tries to anticipate her medical needs to keep her healthy and safe. My mother finds the staff kind, and her fellow residents helpful, friendly and interesting. She enjoys the company of others, and also enjoys being in the peace of her own room. This has been a great fit for her, and is allowing her to be more independent and cared for at the same time.
