Cranberry Park suffers from a lack of quality caregivers. Caregivers are not required to be CNAs and most are not. My mother lived at Cranberry for 3 1/2 years. When she was fairly well the care was adequate but as her health declined and her level of care was supposed to increase ( along with the cost we paid) it became painfully obvious that the staff was woefully undertrained. The med passers were often late , several times in the last 6 months my mother did not receive her medication. She was supposed to be checked on every two hours. That often did not happen. Even after placing a camera in her room and making everyone aware that it was there she still often would not be seen for several hours at a time. The reason for my 3star rating is the few bright spots. The activity director Amy is an absolute angel. Cheerful and caring- she goes above and beyond for the residence. The rooms are nice- as well they should be for the thousands of dollars they cost. Think twice and then think again before placing an elderly family member here.

When I think about the years my parents were at Cranberry Park, the main thing that comes to mind was that I knew they were safe, and that the staff there would do everything they could to make sure they were okay and cared for. From the admissions director, to the people at the front desk, to the nurses and therapists, to the activities director and especially to the CNAs and the aides who consistently always went above and beyond to help both of my parents - you all made a huge difference in my parents' life, and I never doubted that they were in good hands. Thank you for being their home for so long. Thank you for your help on so many things over the years. I'm getting emotional thinking about how everyone there embraced my mom especially like family during her time there, and welcomed my dad equally when he joined her there. And I have to thank the CNAs again - in a million quiet ways that never went unnoticed, you cared for my mom and dad so patiently and compassionately. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My family and I have been extremely pleased with the care and support provided by this assisted living community. The staff are compassionate, attentive, and truly treat residents like family. The building is clean, well-maintained, and offers a warm, welcoming environment. Communication with families is excellent, and there are always activities and events that keep residents engaged and active. Knowing our loved one is safe, cared for, and happy gives us tremendous peace of mind. We highly recommend this community to anyone looking for quality assisted living care.

My dad was at Cranberry Assisted Living 8 months recovering from a life threatening medical issue. I cannot say enough about the excellent care he received there. The administration is superior and dealt with any issues, with no problems at all. The medical staff was awesome and helped my dad fully rehabilitate and recover. The day to day care he received was always above and beyond. I would highly recommend them for senior care!

Jason, & Rochelle 2 awesome nurses or aides I’m not sure if they are both nurses or not. Regardless mom was admitted and they took such wonderful care of her upon arriving from hospital. Jason is by far exception as far as care giving goes! He deserves a promotion!

I am a health care provider and have to collaborate with many facilities and I have to say that when I visit Cranberry Park AL the staff is always very pleasant and accommodating. The facility is very clean, residents always appear to be well taken care of and happy. I have been to many facilities and I can say that this is definitely one I would put my loved one at and would feel confident that they would be very well cared for.

My mom lived at Cranberry Park at ShorePointe for over 2.5 years. There were issues with food and sometimes with care, but nothing that would motivate me to give a poor review. My feelings have changed since she died while at the facility in April. You pay for each month in full at the start of the month, and the contract we signed clearly says final statements and refunds for unused days will be provided within 60 days of death. However, it's been 90+ days since my mom's death and I have yet to receive a penny of what I am owed. The executive director says all the right things to me but I still don't have the refund, and she won't give me contact information for corporate (who she says is responsible). I did find two corporate numbers and a "contact us" form on corporate's site, but I haven't gotten return calls or emails from any of these. So at this point I can only conclude that these folks are thieves, holding money that they owe to me.

I am a personal Caregiver for a lady who resides here, I have been to many assisting living establishments, I have never met a lady like Amy. She is the director of activities and she is absolutely heaven sent. Amy goes out of her way to make sure ever resident stays involved and comes to the activities. The live entertainment is wonderful and as everyone knows music is the key to have that youthful heart back. Amy gets up outreach her hand to the resident and gets them up dancing, even that hard to get up person. If a person is in a wheelchair she holds there hand and will sway them back and fourth. There are so many activities cards, painting, arts and crafts, movie night, outings to restaurants, Zoo, belle isle and she is always there encouraging residents to go and never gives up even with stubborn residents. 9 out of 10 times she has a victory of convincing a resident to join in on the fun. She is absolutely amazing. The lady I am here for is one who needs convincing and encouragement to attend events and Amy has the patience to reproach and not take no for a answer in the sweetest way. I am very grateful for her, because she is going over and above for my lady to be apart of life and the family and we appreciate her so much! Thank you Amy for being you you are a angel

My mom lived at Cranberry Park at ShorePointe for a little over 2 years. While she was there we found the staff to be professional, friendly and caring. My mom made friends, and she attended the many social activities that were offered (bingo, church, game day/nights, musical guest performances, weekly get togethers for all kinds of reasons, crafts, BBQs, off premises lunches/activities etc.). Her studio apartment was perfect for her. From the beginning we felt a sense of belonging. My mom considered Cranberry Park her home. We knew she was safe, and we knew she was well taken care of. I would definitely recommend Cranberry Park to anyone considering moving their loved one into an Assisted Living Facility.

The activities director at Cranberry Park, is to say he least, exceptional. Amy knows every resident by name and will go to their rooms to encourage them to come to the many wonderful events that Amy puts on for them all. The events range from bingo, to lunches at a near by restaurants, to entertainers coming and putting on awesome shows. Amy puts out the Chronicle everyday, which is filled with fun facts, riddles and what national day it is. You will not find a better Activities Director that is so involved with residents. We love her.

My independent mom has found a wonderful home at Cranberry Park. She appreciates the caring staff, and has begun making new friends. Seeing her content in her lovely studio apartment is a blessing. We have been enjoying attending activities with Mom-- crafts, a wine and cheese social, and a presentation by Grosse Pointe Zoology.

It was a difficult decision to have our mother go into any facility but we're just so grateful she's here. She's really found new life with this place and she brags about "my nurses" and her new friends. They take her to the park and to lunch and they have music sometimes and different activities. I've gotten to know staff and their hearts are in the right place. I read some reviews and I just wonder if that was previous owners or maybe they have the wrong place or what because this place has been a godsend. This is the place off Jefferson on Bon Brae.

The setup here is fantastic. The neighborhood idea is great because grandma doesn't eat (and do other activities) in a huge cafeteria like most places, it's in her "neighborhood" with people she became familiar with and it's just more personal and less overwhelming at first. The caregivers here are top notch! They're always quite helpful and it helps me sleep well knowing she's being taken care of by them. So so happy to have found this place!

My great Aunt lived at Cranberry Park for nine years. She loved living there, she received great care from all her caregivers and established close friendships. She was a RN and chose to live there during her senior years. I highly recommend Cranberry Park. It is an outstanding facility!

My grandfather has been here for several months now. When he moved in, he was pretty unresponsive and we were pessimistic about how long he'd be with us, but he's really started to come around. The rooms are very nice, the halls are very clean, and the grounds are beautiful. The service is polite and responsive.

My mom has lived at Shorepointe Village for almost six years. She is almost 105. We moved her to the skilled nursing facility since she now needs more care. Her experience at the Village was exceptional and each and every staff member gave her five star attention and help. I highly recommend Shorepointe for assisted living
