Carla LaMarr and the Edgewood staff made my mom’s transition to their facility almost seamless. Since this was my family’s first time working with assisted living, we really appreciated the many honest and direct conversations we had with them. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by the welcoming staff! Edgewood is by far the cleanest Assisted Living Center around. Unlike most senior living homes, the menu has a home-cooked meal style with a variety of choices on the alternative menu. You do not have to go far to find staff either. Life Enrichment offers at least 3 activities a day with regular outings. The building is well maintained with beautiful landscaping! The best part of Edgewood is the team of people that provide high-quality care to the residents! The Edgewood team allows families the relief in knowing their loved ones are receiving the best care....and that is priceless.

Just completed paperwork for my husband to stay here, although he's been coming here for respite for 6 months. Toured other nice places, but couldn't seriously consider any other facility! My husband loves it here(especially the food!) and literally everyone treats him like a king, from the kitchen people all the way up to the administrator! As much as I hated having to put him anywhere, I will not have to worry for a minute while he is here. Everything explained to me and it was made as pain-free as possible! Thank you!

From the moment that we first looked at Edgewood, we were struck by the friendliness of ALL of the employees towards not only us as visitors but towards the residents and each other. In what has been a very traumatic and sad time for me, I can say with assurance that I am sure my family has found the right place for our mother to begin and live out this next chapter of her life. I can not thank Carla, the administrator, enough for the caring and concerned way she handled our situation. She is very efficient and definitely knows her stuff, but the thing I liked and appreciated most was her bright and loving manner. One thing I particularly appreciated was the fact she took the time to come to Mom's apartment to sit, visit, inform, and answer any questions we may have had. It meant everything to my Mom and to me as well. The facility is bright and homey and one can not help but feel comfortable and welcomed upon entering. The staff has been wonderful, they treat Mom as if she is the queen of the world. (even when they didn't know I was around) To a one, the staff has been caring, respectful, and considerate. She even received a hand written welcome note and a wonderful welcome gift bag. The safety of my mother was a huge concern for me. Wow, Edgewood has completely lifted that weight and concern from my shoulders. The receptionists are exceptional and are located where they can monitor the comings and goings. the front entrance is locked at five pm and opens at nine am. Fire exits are locked. Mom and I received keys to her apartment as well. I can say with confidence that Mom wandering out of the building is no longer a concern. Mom had a little mishap on her first night at Edgewood. Response time by staff was under a minute from when I pulled the cord! The situation was resolved quickly, and by the book. The way in which each staff member performed her tasks left Mom feeling calm and comfortable. I feel blessed to have been able to witness first hand how staff reacts when the help cord is pulled. It has always been my feeling that attitude and culture reflect leadership. Well, Edgewood is top notch!

My Mom has been living at Edgewood for nearly 8 years. The 1st administrator was amazing. Edgewood has had many changes in staffing since then. I can tell you mom and I are very happy with Carla the new administrator and the staff. Carla has brought back a friendly, caring, welcoming environment. Carla takes the time to be with the residents and is always available to speak with the family. Come visit and see for yourself.

My aunt, who has dementia, has been at Edgewood in Memory Care for 3 months. The staff I've interacted with have been very kind and caring, and I'm relieved that she is being taken care of so well. I can not say enough good words about Edgewood. From day one all the staff members would greet you with a smile and now it's like we're family. My mom has had excellent care and I know she's safe and well cared for which takes stress off me from worry. The meals are great, housekeeping is excellent, nurses will contact me if there is an issue and activities galore that keeps residents busy as well as having fun. Edgewood ROCKS!

My mom moved in a few months ago and has very high praise with her experience so far. The biggest complement she shares frequently is that everyone that works there really care about her! They stop in and just say hi or check to see if she needs anything. She feels safe and well cared for and our family is so very grateful!

You can tell that most of the staff really care for the people living here. Some staff however would benefit from a serious attitude adjustment. Some employee's are rude to each other, it makes me wonder how they treat residents when no one is looking.

Edgewood Assisted Living is a wonderful place that strives to give the best care possible to all their residents. They staff 24 hour nurses, have a separate housekeeping and culinary department so that the care staff are NEVER expected to do laundry, cook or clean. Edgewood sets them selves above the rest because they are the best. They strive to meet the needs of every one of their residents needs, with individually tailored care plans. Meals are served restaurant style in the dining room where residents order from a menu. The life enrichment department keeps everyone busy and moving with activities to suite all. From men's groups to painting groups, gardening and bingo, you will fill your days with lots to do! Edgewood Assisted Living Center is home to where the care begins.
