Reviews Flourish Collection at Rochester
May 2026
May 2026
Flourish is a truly exceptional community, and I am incredibly grateful that my father lives there. Linda Price and her team consistently demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and genuine care for every resident. It is clear that the residents’ well-being and comfort are always their top priority. During the recent water shortage in town, Linda and her staff responded quickly and efficiently, ensuring that all residents were relocated to safe and comfortable accommodations. Their organization, communication, and dedication during a stressful situation gave our family tremendous peace of mind. The community itself is beautiful, welcoming, and thoughtfully maintained, and my father genuinely enjoys living there. Our family is deeply appreciative of the outstanding care and support provided by the entire Flourish team. We cannot thank them enough for all they do

Visited Flourish Collection last week for the second time and had an outstanding tour of the complex with John one of their sales representatives. We had many questions and they were all answered honestly and with clarity. The grounds, buildings and residences are all amazing and beautifully kept! And for us, having the option of a higher level of care if needed is a very important factor in our decision, which Flourish provides.

My Mom has been at the community for 2 years. She has had a very good experiences within the community. She has made many friends and enjoys the experience the community offers. There are many activities for the residents to join, including outings! The staff is very nice and friendly. The housekeeping staff that cleans for her every two weeks make sure everything is done the way she likes it. If anything should go wrong from a light bulb change to a faucet replacement someone is there to do it right away. She enjoys having dinner with friends every evening. It has been a wonderful experience not only for my mom but for our entire family as well!

I give this place 5 stars because the response from most of the caregivers has been very positive and I feel they have really tried to know who I am. I'm not just an apartment number. I'm also pretty close to several of them; May, in particular, and Louise are probably two of the nicest people I know, and they make my living here better. Deja has managed to bring in a Wellness Team that exudes an attitude that they are proud to be here - and that attitude wasn't always here before.

I play music for the residents at Flourish. It is always a good time. They are a great crowd and Lori Voss is there for anything you might need. Its a beautiful, classy high end environment.

We’ve lived in this premier community for two years. Our co-residents, especially in the Village of independent living, are engaging and warm hearted. A decided asset for quality of life. The campus is gorgeous and the aesthetics and facilities, especially of the main building, are striking, resort like. New ownership and management during our residency, turnover of local leadership, may eventually make our community even more remarkable.

Flourish Collection at Rochester is a first class facility that is designed to meet the needs of independent seniors and those who need assisted living care. I highly recommend this community.

I've sadly come to accept that StoryPoint will never commit the resources needed to meet the standard of quality and care residents enjoyed when this community was owned by the Moceris, but the abject disrespect shown its AL residents ” many of whom have called this place home since it opened ” is breathtaking. The blindside of these families, giving them just 30 days (the bare minimum required under state law) to either find a new place to live or convert their leases to IL and pay a steep premium for less reliable care, is an unconscionable violation of trust. StoryPoint knew at least as far back as January it planned to de-license AL. And its "strategic partner" and funding source, Welltower, laid its corporate strategy bare in a July 2024 investors call, the same month it bought Blossom Ridge, saying it would focus on leasing to "lower-acuity" ” i.e., more independent ” seniors to cut costs and boost profits. Welltower's CEO said, "While a lower-acuity resident pays less than a higher-acuity resident for the same room, they also consume far less human resources and tend to stay longer. This creates a healthier rent roll over a longer period of time, leading to higher NOI." I applaud the AL families for their courage in calling StoryPoint out without fear of retribution/retaliation. I agree with the reviews of the decline of the facilities (food, cleanliness, activities, grounds, the ridiculous situation with the toilets!) This is my father's home, and I try to focus on what remains special about this community, the things StoryPoint cannot destroy or degrade: the true friendships made, the way the residents look out for and care about one another, the original Moceri staff that has become like family. However, I once gave this community rave reviews to anyone who asked; unless things change, I no longer feel confident in doing so.
October 2025
The decline at this once -exemplary senior living community has been heartbreaking to witness since the July 2024 sale from the Moceri family to StoryPoint. Sixteen months into StoryPoint ownership, the company has failed in its promise to maintain the facility's high quality and care. The facility is beautiful, but today, only two things still deserve five stars at Flourish (formerly Blossom Ridge): the residents ” who have forged genuine friendships and look after each other like family ” and the compassionate original team members (concierge, activities, sales, etc.) who stayed on after the buyout and continue to go above and beyond. There is still no permanent StoryPoint senior management presence on-site. Phone messages go unreturned, and family concerns are met with vague assurances like "we take your feedback seriously" but no visible action. CorsoCare, StoryPoint's in-house caregiver affiliate, has several concerning incidents, including missed medication reminders, slow emergency pendant responses, failure to meet scheduled toileting, showering, and activity/meal transport needs, and understaffing. (State records reflect similar issues at other StoryPoint/CorsoCare-run facilities, with over 30 serious violations recorded from 2023“2024, including medication errors, falls, understaffing and neglect.) The main building's lobby, stairwells, elevators, and common areas”which previously were dusted, mopped or vacuumed nearly 24/7”now go uncleaned for days. Staff cuts/shortages have affected the once-meticulous bi-weekly apartment cleanings, which now frequently leave behind mold buildup and soap scum in showers, dirt and debris collecting on floors under the kitchen and bathroom cabinets for weeks (they mop just the middle of the floors) and bed linens unchanged. Clogged and overflowing toilets have become common after a recent StoryPoint plumbing/water "upgrade." Most disturbingly: StoryPoint this month informed residents in the main building's Assisted Living section it would not renew its state license, giving them only 30 days to either vacate or sign a new lease and pay a higher cost for in-house Corso services replacing the AL services. The loss to these residents of promised care, safety, and stability is shameful and gut-wrenching, especially because this change (which will free StoryPoint from state oversight) was planned for months, yet the company reportedly continued to sign on new AL occupants through spring and summer. Despite the declining service and standards, residents stay because it has become their home, and families continue to hope for improvement. But sadly for potential new residents, another reviewer put it best: buyer beware!
October 2025
My mom has lived here for years. She’s built real friendships and has volunteered countless hours leading a resident choir. That’s exactly why this is so hard to write. Flourish/StoryPoint is ending the licensed Assisted Living model and switching our loved ones to an unlicensed Enhanced Living. I understand change happens but families were given only roughly three weeks’ notice. Under the new approach, the facility isn’t the direct care provider, you’re expected to sign a separate care contract with Corso Care. That’s a big shift in accountability. The facility itself is beautiful but has suffered from disrepair and lack of cleaning and maintenance. This is painful to witness too. We’re not asking for perfection, just clarity and safety. If you’re considering moving in, get these in writing: who is accountable in an emergency, caregiver coverage by shift, response times for pendant calls, medication procedures (and costs), and whether you can opt for month-to-month during the transition. Kudos to Michael who worked with his management to allow residents to continue month-to-month, so my mom can trial this brand new, unproven setup before committing to a year. I’m also grateful for the residents who look out for each other and for the original staff who still go above and beyond. But until leadership steps up and starts running a great facility like the Moceri's used to, and restores transparency and reliable oversight, I can’t recommend this community with confidence.

With a loved one at this facility, I have significant concerns regarding the recent changes in the assisted living facility that, until recently, was an exemplary model of what a caring and supportive environment for older adults should be. In the past, the facility was renowned for its clean and safe environment, the dedication of its caring staff, the delicious meals that were served, and the genuine sense of home it provided for its residents. Unfortunately, since the new administration has taken over, there have been noticeable and worrying declines in the quality of service. There have been numerous pending changes that have left us questioning the continued safety of what was previously the assisted living units. These changes, including de-licensing the facility and offering a la carte services have not only left us questioning the future level of care but have also led to significant angst and worry for residents, some of whom have been here since the opening of this facility. Residents have also been voicing their dissatisfaction with the food and level of activities offered at this previously premier facility to which the new administration have made many empty promises. Additionally, it is evident that the facilities are not being maintained to the standard once enjoyed, which is very troubling. Providing only 30 days' notice of the de-licensing of the facility is not what you would expect of an organization that supposedly puts residents first. Such a short notice period is putting residents at considerable risk, a concern apparently not shared by management. These issues are of great concern, and immediate action is necessary to address and rectify them, yet the new management seems unconcerned. The residents deserve to feel safe, cared for, and respected, and it is imperative that the facility returns to the high standards it once upheld.
October 2025
This is a beautiful facility with a number of staff who work hard to support the residents under trying circumstances. The Moceri family had set a very high standard of care, service, and cleanliness, but unfortunately that standard has declined with the sale to Story Point and particularly with the introduction of Corso Care. The manner in which Story Point management executed their decision to de-license and discontinue Assisted Living Services in the Flourish Collection building violated the trust of elderly residents (and their families) who have come to depend on a certain level of care in their advancing years. Despite knowing of this change for months, Story Point provided only a minimum 30 days notice, basically forcing AL residents to choose between moving (!) or accepting lesser quality services for higher cost. It is shameful. What you see on the website and hear from well-meaning sales staff doesn't necessarily reflect the reality on the ground. It pains me to write this, but buyer beware!

My mom and I had such a great time touring the beautiful property of Flourish Collection at Rochester Hills. What a great community with so many amenities. Our tour guide, John was both knowledgeable and compassionate. I felt it was a huge plus for my mom to be able to talk to and hear from someone who had been through the process she is currently going through, not to mention being able to speak to all of the fun activities that are happening there!!!!

While there have been many rough edges since Storypointe took over what was Blossom Ridge, In the past 3 weeks , they have positively responded after being made aware of the enormous problems they have created. So many residents are hopeful. The staff is hard working and pleasant. Angie in cleaning, Lorie in activities,Joe in maintenance , John and Jason in sales are always professional and pleasant. I have lived here 6 years and i am hopeful for the future.

Just toured the various homes with Jason to see what there was available. It was a great experience and a beautiful place. He did a great job and put no pressure on us. Very easy tour of the whole place.

Very happy living in Rochester and I really like all the employees. Some of them are really close and understanding.

This Assisted Living facility is not the same since they sold it to Story point. The staff is not trained to care for the people there. When you explain the issues, the team doesn't do anything to fix it.

I am a frequent visitor at BLOSSOM RIDGE. My sister, Gloria has been living there for about 2 years, and when I visit, I am treated as kindly as if I lived there too! The staff are amazing, as well as the caregivers! My sister is so happy there and I can see why. They treat her like family and also me, the same way when I stay for a couple of days So many good reasons, I could write about BLOSSOM RIDGE, and, I will say the most important reason about it, is they truly care about you! Your loved one will be very happy to be part of this beautiful facility and very content, being well taken care of, by the VERY BEST!!

What a wonderful place! We moved in October 2021 and have been extremely happy with our choice. Our ranch is beautifully appointed and just the right size. We are active seniors and are very pleased with the amenities and enrichment offered by Blossom Ridge. The food is great, but the staff and the other residents are the best. Everyone has been extremely nice, friendly, and welcoming. We feel right at home!

My wife has been living at Blossom Ridge for over two years. The accommodations are on par with any 5 star resort, but more importantly the staff is incredible! They are very attentive and treat us all like family. The have exceeded our expectations at every turn. Janet, one of the care givers, even stayed until 1:00 am, well past the time she was off work, last week when my wife wasn't feeling well to make sure she was okay. This just one example of how amazing they are. I highly recommend Blossom Ridge for anyone who wants peace of mind in the knowledge that they are in the best place possible. S

My mother is in the assisted living area. I can not thank the management (Mike) and staff (Far too many to name but all shave gone above and beyond) enough for keeping my mother safe and cared for during the quarantine. My mother is extremely close to her family, and we visit her daily. We all worried about her spirits when she would no longer be surrounded by her loved ones. We need not have worried. The entire staff, from the aids, med techs and cleaning crew met her every need and treated her like family. I can not express my gratitude and relief in knowing that in these scary and uncertain times, I did not have to worry for one minute about the care and attention she was receiving. This is the fourth area assisted living my mother has been in, and I am happy to say without hesitation she has found her home. With sincere gratitude, the Miriani family
