Let me say a word about Pomeroy independent living in Rochester Hills,. MI On grandparents day 9/8/2024, the entire staff put on a fantastic event for all the residents & families. Many residents had children and grandkids attending Most guests played various team games Such as egg on spoon walk, axe throwing (Plastic), and water balloon toss. The winners were awarded gold or silver medals. Meanwhile a lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, plus beans and beverages was served to all; While a live concert was ongoing. A balloon lady made various animal balloons for the children After lunch, s'mores were made for all. This was a great way to celebrate grandparents & their families. Much appreciated by all who took part or just watched. THANKS Pomeroy independent living, Rochester Hills MI. Another great job of entertaining us all at a super senior facility. Thanks again. Al & Joyce residents.

Mixed thoughts about this location. My parents were there 6 months and no doubt there are some good people here that deeply care. Food quality and service inconsistent. My advice to upper management - increase your professionalism and respond to clients and their family members as quickly on the way out as you do on the way in.

I have been at Pomeroy Independent Living for over four months and am enjoying my experiences here very much. There are many activities to choose from and the Activities Coordinators, Julie, Sharololotte and Gail do a wonderful job and are always open to suggestions. The fellow residents are all terrific and friendly. I love the spacious apartments and the meals are delicious. On site ammenities include hair salon, podiatrist. transportation. church services, and exercise equipment and classes. All in all it is a wonderful experience living at Pomeroy.

I have been working at Pomeroy Living Rochester for close to 10 months now. I knew when I spoke on the phone with the head of the housekeeping department it was the job I was looking for then after we met I knew it is the job I was looking for. The staff I work with are great group of people. My supervisor and co workers are a breath of fresh air. Everyone in each department is on top of their job especially when it comes to the residents. It is a welcoming and great place to work at.

I have lived here for about six weeks and love it. My apartment is spacious, has washer, drier, microwave, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, twice a month cleaning and great food. The best part includes the residents and staff. Everyone is friendly, active, and ready for fun. The activities are plentiful and varied. I am glad I made the decision to live here after looking at many other places.

Jan has done so much to help make the food and the dining room excellent. Since he has been here the dining room is a lot more appealing and cleaner. His staff in the dining room is being helpful and more professional. The change in the food quality is unbelievable. The food is tasting a lot better, is warm or hot, not cold. Also, the selection of the meals is excellent. They do not run out of food by the 5 o'clock setting. Previously, often by the end of the day we did not have an entree`, soup, salad, or dessert. Overall, the dining room is much more professional and better run.

Pomeroy Rochester living is a great place to work. I joined the pomeroy Housekeeping team 8 months back and is very Happy that I made that great decision. Everyone is so nice from the Residents to my Co worker's in every department. I got a promotion and raise in just a few months started as a housekeeper now I'm an Assistant housekeeping director. You can flourish in this company ,the big bonus is great benefits and incentives. I just love the ppl here and my job. That's why I come everyday with a great big smile.

My family has researched several senior living communities in the Rochester/Troy area. Pomeroy fit best for our family and my mom's needs. The executive director, Jessica met with us the day after we requested. She was unhurried and thoughtful. The sales manager, Mackenzie spent 2 hours explaining paperwork and routines. Overall, the staff was kind, considerate and patient with all the wonderings, questions and concerns. While touring the independent living facility Mackenzie greeted community member by name, it gave a nice feeling. The facility is newer and clean. The community members are friendly. The unfortunate need to have my mom leave her home has been made easier while working with Pomeroy.

Yesterday, I attended Pomeroy's Thanksgiving meal. The room was delightfully decorated. The staff and volunteers shared their enthusiasm for Turkey Day with laughs and gobble gobbles. The meal was surprisingly delicious. The Chef outdid himself with the Turkey. My mom has been here for awhile now. She is happy in this clean welcoming environment. What a great day.

I I have to give accolades to the greatest Director of Entertainment we can have ! Julie Turners is everything a doe should be and then some! We have gone on such wonderful excursions. I really enjoy living at Pomeroy, I lived here for over 6 months. I have became acquainted with many people here in the Dining room. We do many activities here ranging from fashion shows, Bingo and educational presentations from speakers. And don't get me started on the entertainment, we have amazing entertainers that come in every week. The food is fantastic and I wasn't always the dessert type, but since I been here, I been eating a lot. I love my apartment, it is my beloved home and I love showing it off. Overall I love the staff, the residents and this place in general. Highly recommend it!

I have only been a resident for six months and within that time have been very welcomed. The staff is excellent and I have made many friends and acquaintances. All activities are great and the activity manager, to my mind does a great job. It is well-kept, very clean. My only complaint is the food is not as varied as I'd like, there could be a great improvement in the food and preparation of it, hopefully this will be looked into. This place has a very family feeling about it, The staff seems very concerned about the welfare of the residence and are always very pleasant.r Unfortunately I have to amend my review, now that I've been here over a year I must say things have changed. The food still is not great it has improve somewhat but seems to be the biggest complaint here., we have to stand in line to be served which no senior citizen should have to do. None of our complaints have been addressed, the manager or rather the former manager was very rarely seen out of her office. The rent has been increased, And many residents I've talked to feel they are not getting what they are paying for, as I do. My sense is that the bottom line for them is more important than the residents they are supposed to be serving. I've inquired in other places and they have no trouble finding help, yet Pomeroy never seems to have the staff they need and I am convinced that's because they will not pay the wages. So upset with the inefficiency I have moved, where I am they don't seem to have problems with staff they're fully equipped in the dining room, which was rare at Palmeroy. The dining room also is open from 7 to 7 so you can go in anytime you're not committed to certain times as at Pomeroy. But most of all the food here is excellent and varied you can take whatever you want back to your apartment to eat if you so desire, which is again not true of Pomeroy. So all in all, although I have to say much of the staff were really great but their hands were tied. I am much happier where I am now where I'm treated like a valued person. no I would not put any of my loved ones in this place.

I have been a resident of Pomeroy Rochester Independent for over 5 years & I have met many friends of who I treasure; even though many have "Passed On", I still enjoy all the activities we have here, but the recent "Covid Crisis" has put a limit on some former activities; our current staff is doing a great job at keeping the morale of the residents high. We have a great current staff who try hard to keep us occupied & lastly, my wife was here with me for 3 years & she & I have many memories from the past. We have a "Fitness Center" here for the residents to try & stay active as well.

I have been a resident of Pomeroy Rochester Independent for five months and in that time, I have seen improvements in every department. In my first review, I gave high praise to the Activities Department and Reception Services aka the Front Desk. Schar, from the Activties Department, is quite talented in arts and crafts. She provides many enjoyable projects which challenge our creativity. Her holiday decorating of our community is unsurpassable. Janice, a receptionist at the Front Desk, is always professional and pleasant. She likes to be of assistance and will go beyond what is required of her. AB is the Executive Chef of the Culinary Department. His cooking skills are exemplary and his meal presentation impressive. On Valentine's Day, his capable wait staff served us an extraordinary meal of surf and turf, scrumptious mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans cooked to perfection. Chef's expertise is comparable to a five-star restaurant and we are fortunate to have him here at Pomeroy. Sharron, Director of Housekeeping, has a well-trained staff who do a thorough job of making our apartments fresh an clean. They are pleasant, courteous and aim to please. Mike, Director of Maintenance, is eager to complete tasks in a timely manner. His professionalism and friendly disposition do not go unnoticed.

I shall never forget the first day I walked into Pomeroy Independent Living, Rochester as a new resident. Everyone I met from that day forward welcomed me with open arms. I truly felt I had come home and I thanked God for it! I immediately adapted to this community and all of its many cultural, educational, physical and spiritual activities. Julie Turnes, the Activities Director, is not only superior at what she does but she genuinely cares about the wellbeing of each and every resident. We quickly became friends and always will be. Our new director, Jessica Butler quickly acclimated to her new position and the residents. We welcome her to our family. If you're looking for independent living for a loved one or yourself, look no further. Pomeroy Independent Living, Rochester is a beautiful place to live! I can not say enough good things about this wonderful place. We moved my father in from Florida right before the pandemic and we have never been happier. The staff is caring and my Dad is very happy there. It's a pleasant place to visit and everyone goes out of their way to help you from the front desk, administration to the housekeepers to the kitchen staff. Big shout out to Julie and her activity staff for going that extra mile to help Dad acclimate . I would highly recommend Pomeroy to anyone looking for a beautiful place to retire and be active and healthy.

I have lived here for close to two years, and I love this place! The building is lovely, beautifully decorated, and well maintained (my children commented that they felt like they were on a cruise ship!) The personnel is super friendly and very approachable - ask anything, and if they don't know, they will find out for you . The crew who does our maintenance and housekeeping, are always friendly and accommodating . The activities abound - from card games, wi bowling and bingo, to daily stretch exercises (every Friday we have chair yoga with in person instruction ) there are activities to fit any needs and desires from origami and art lessons, to religious sessions, and hymn singing . We have Happy Hour every day, and at least once a week there is also entertainment ! There is bus transportation for shopping and field trips to area events and places of interest. And the food - even though there are challenges in personnel, the menus are fine and varied and for the most part good. I just wish there were more seafood . I am very happy that I chose Pomeroy Independent Living for my home.

My mom LOVES living at Pomeroy in Rochester. She consistently tells me that she feels really safe which was a huge priority for me when looking for a place for her. She speaks highly of the staff and tells me that everyone who lives there is just like her. She is more social now than I have ever seen her be, ever. She didn't participate in all the activities when she first moved in, but the staff does a fantastic job of coaxing new residents into finding activities that they will enjoy at their own pace. The staff is patient and kind. Julie has been a Godsend and has made lasting connections with and between the residents with all the incredible themed events. It's such a relief to know that my mom is happy, safe and well taken care of every day by the wonderful team at Pomeroy Independent in Rochester Hills.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my mother who moved in to the Pomeroy Independent Living in January 2022. I can't say enough about how happy she is there. She has made so many new friends, the staff are actually friendly people, she loves the meals and probably the best thing is they have so many cool activities. Between her field trips and happy hour activities she's always doing something. When me and my brothers visit her she often shoes us off because of some event she wants to do. Prior to the Pomeroy she was at another independent living facility that had very few activities with terribly food and staff that hid in their offices. They used the excuse of Covid as their reason for doing nothing. At the Pomeroy my mother isn't just living she's THRIVING. This place gets a 10. 5 isn't high enough.

We moved my 92 yr.old mom into the beautiful independent living apartment in October 2020 during the COVID restrictions. MacKenzie, the leasing director has been professional, has terrfic communication skills, and has been a joy to work with for the past four months. MacKenzie continues to be a great asset and very helpful for the coummunity and my mother especially when we are all long distance family members. The other members of the facility such as the front desk and transporation staff or very pleasant and helpful. The staff is attentive and friendly thorought the day and with activities. We employeed Elara Caring for medication management. Stacey Zimmerman the Director has done a great job with the prescription management as it has been very complicated. My mother whom is a very good cook states the food is very good with abundant portions. The facility itself is very upscale similiar to Hilton Hotels and immaculate all the time. Parking is plentiful for residents and guests. My mother, myself and family have been extremely happy with the move into the facility.
