American House Senior Living Village of Rochester & Freedom Place Memory Care is an all around amazing community from a dedicated very professional management team to amazing nurses and care staff. I had the pleasure to work with nurse Venessa, executive director Grace and Roxana from the office support. They all go above, and beyond to make each resident feel wonderful not just physically, but emotionally, they are positive, compassionate, and wonderful at what they do. Keep up the great work Team!! A Wonderful community!!

Yes its a nice community, grounds are well kept, if there is a problem maintenance comes quickly...The office staff is nice as well, I would like to see my diversity at their community! As well as in the office staff need more diversity not just in the background of services rendered.

Freedom Place, American House, Rochester Hills is an answer to my prayers❣ This is truly a wonderful place for a loved one with dementia- Alzheimers. I just cant say enough about how pleased I am to have found Freedom Place after touring several other facilities. I am convinced that I made the right decision!

I love this place. Caring, friendly staff in a homey environment.My mom has dementia. She lived with me and our family for 7 years until last December, when she fell, broke bones, and had surgery. Her dementia became extreme and I knew I could no longer take care of her. We searched many memory care facilities and when we walked into Freedom Place, we knew we found her new home. Its like a whole new family.The director, AK, is friendly and welcoming. He works hard to make sure everything is running smoothly and he really knows and interacts with each and every resident. I appreciate how he keeps me updated about everything and shares stories about my mom.The activities director, Chelsea, is full of energy and love for the residents. She knows their likes and dislikes and keeps them busy and happy. She and her helper, Sarah, are kind and patient and get right in there to provide all aspects of care.The head cook, Kim, does a wonderful job with meals. She knows each resident and what they like. Her chili is awesome!And Im especially thankful for the caregivers. They really are great. When my mom moved in, I was put at ease knowing Amanda and Paris were taking such good care of her. Each caregiver I meet at Freedom Place amazes me with their patience and kindness. Mom is always clean and dressed nicely. She settled in quickly and is truly happy.As hard as it was for me to place my mom in a facility, I feel grateful to have help to provide her with the best possible care she could have. And to know that shes happy and loved.

Finding Freedom Place was a great relief to me. My mom was in a nursing home and got strong enough to be elsewhere. I contacted a non-profit agency that connected me to Freedom Place. It was just what we needed. It is very homey, the food is great and I feel like the staff has gotten to know my mom as an individual. I particularly appreciate them pairing her up with a compatible suite mate. This is the best we could hope for given the circumstances.
