For anyone who may need an Elder Care Assisted Living facility for you or a loved one I STRONGLY TELL YOU TO NOT GO TO POMEROY ASSISTED LIVING IN ROCHESTER HILLS, MICHIGAN! ADDRESS: 3466 W. SOUTH BOULEVARD - 48309. THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND LIE! THE LEVEL OF CARE GIVEN IS INCONSISTENT WITH PATIENT'S NEEDS. MEDICATIONS ARE NOT GIVEN IN A TIMELY MANNER! PATIENT'S BELONGINGS CAN BE REMOVED FROM A PATIENT'S APARTMENT WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT. THEY HAVE CARE LEVELS WHICH THEY WILL NOT DESCRIBE OR DEFEND. THEY WILL OBVIOUSLY RAISE A CARE LEVEL BUT WILL NOT LOWER IT ON THE BASIS OF A PATIENT'S CARE NEEDS. AGAIN, I REPEAT. THIS IS NOT A LOCATION WHERE YOU WANT YOUR LOVED ONE RESIDING!

Regarding Pomeroy Independent Living - Rochester: His wife died during the summer of 2023 and less than six weeks later he moved to Pomeroy Living, Rochester Hills. Not having yet dealt with the grief of losing a cherished mate, he was frightened, apprehensive, and conflicted about the very quick decision to relocate. Immediately, the residents of Pomeroy did their best to welcome him. Immediately, Julie, the activities director, worked on getting to know him. She quickly identified his interests and has tirelessly worked to gently get him involved and engaged. I suspect some activities have even been designed specifically for him. What a relief it is to know he is safe, cared for, and included. He has repeatedly talked about how difficult moving was – leaving the known for the unknown. Likewise, he repeatedly talks about how wonderful Julie and the staff at Pomeroy are, as well as the residents. Six months later, he feels genuinely part of the community – valued, and indeed even “needed.”

My mom went her for rehab after having back surgery. She's almost 80. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and facility. Very clean. She enjoyed the food. Never had to wait for someone when she needed something. Highly recommend

The Rochester assisted living facility has been great for my mom. They provide abundant activities throughout the day, work to get the residents engaged in those activities, which really helps with the cognitive and physical focus for mom. The exercise class, with most residents in wheelchairs, including my mom, is a great way to keep the blood flowing and the mind stimulated. As with all nursing homes, there are issues and challenges. Pomeroy works hard to keep the right balance, to motivate their staff, to work through issues when they arise, and to keep the family of residents engaged. To this, I commend them. The facility is clean, modern and fresh looking, with a very welcoming atmosphere. Greg

Pomeroy Independent Living, Rochester Hills is a wonderful place to live and work. Our employees make sure that the residents are happy! Activity department has many activities for residents to do. I hear residents singing, playing bingo or see residents doing arts & crafts just to name a few. There are great options on the menu. When speaking with the residents, they tell me the food is great! Housekeeping department does a great job keeping the building clean. Come in for a tour of our building and see for yourself. Cathy Wosik

The change in the new management and Activities has raised the residents attendance and involvement in events offered. Employees address residents by their name which makes an overall friendly atmosphere to be surrounded in.

I currently work here in Assisted Living, and have for about 3 months. I actually enjoy being here. I love my coworkers and the management team. The building itself is clean, open, and pleasant. I have worked at a few different facilities and Pomeroy Assisted is the best facility Ive experienced. It is an honor being apart of Pomeroys family. I absolutely love coming to work. Everyday, I walk into a nice and clean environment filled with beautiful smiles and high spirits. The staff here are phenomenal with the residents and with one another. Together, we go the extra mile to ensure the safety and happiness of our residents. Each day the residents are served great food and they are offered many different fun activities to do, in which they enjoy. Our residents are top priority. We love, respect, and admire each and every one of them. The best way I can describe Pomeroy is a home away from home. If I had to choose a place for my loved one I would definitely choose Pomeroy.

Upper management has an amazing vision on how to set them apart and raise the standards for Senior care. I was truly impressed which is hard to do. Unfortunately, the community level ED isnt motivated to be open enough to learn from them which has a negative effect on the outcomes at this community. This fact saddens my heart but hopefully, something will trickle down from the top and the community will one day be the best it can be.

Ive visited Pomeroy Living Assisted Living Rochester several times over the past few months and Ive been very impressed. Last year the building was bought by Pomeroy and you can really tell the new owners have taken it to the next level. The building is gorgeous, always spotless and the folks who live there seem very happy and social. As someone who has seen a lot of assisted and independent living facilities in my line of work, I can honestly say that if my folks need AL, IL this would be the first place Id bring them to tour.
