And the activities were professionally planned and run. There are many care givers that gave Linda the extra attention and compassion she required on a daily basis. I want to give a big shout-out to acting Exec. Director Tyler May and the staff at American House Hampton Village. We arranged with them to use the Dining Room for a family reunion with my mom. Over 40 people gathered to share birthday cake and ice cream with Pat. We are so grateful to AHHV for allowing us to bring her siblings, nieces and nephews to her since she's unable to travel anymore. Her 96th birthday was a huge milestone and we are grateful family was able to celebrate it with her.

So very pleased with American Hoise Hampton Village. My mom recently had a stroke and we had a trip coming up. American house was able to assist us with respit care while we were away. I recently brought a matter to the attention of a staff member, which was subsequently reported to Director Jones. Within an hour, she informed me that she had begun to resolve the problem, and within 24 hours, the issue was completely rectified. The med techs and aides are wonderful. The majority of them are vested in the residents and really care for them. BUT now that this facility changed over from Anthology to American House the leadership team is very disappointing. You are never able to speak with anyone nor do they return calls. When you are seeing issues with your loved one indicating that something is going on there does not seem to be any concern. I understand what and how an assisted living works and that they are not a skilled care facility but there does not seem to be any ownership or CARE from this leadership. Many employees have shared their frustration as well. Lastly according to the residents the food is lackluster and undesirable, but what would one expect when monthly meals are planned well over a year out and not altered per resident council requests. The 3 stars are SOLEY because of the care staff. Very disappointed American House.

Please do not put your loved one in this facility. Yes, it is clean, big and it is beautiful. The care is very substandard. Employees are not trained in proper lifting or moving procedures, medication‘s have been lost, the food is downhill, the employee turnover is extremely high, and the care definitely poor. My mother was there and was dropped twice, fell as she was left unattended and she has MS very difficult to stand on her own, was allowed to go out when we had extremely high heat where she then got disoriented and traveled over a quarter mile in her electric wheelchair while no one knew she was gone. We had contacted management many times regarding our concerns only to get lipservice of how sorry they were and things needed to change . Management even confessed that the staff lies to him. This is not a place to put your loved ones!

The exterior and interior are very beautiful. My family and I were told during the interview process that they were very experienced with memory care clients. That wasn’t the case with caring for our loving active mom. She was neglected in assisting her with hygiene and comfort measures. If my sisters and I didn’t shower her and give oral care than it didn’t get done. The staff stated they cannot force them, which is true but there are tools to encourage her. Unfortunately, Thomas petitioned my 94 year old mom to a geriatric psychiatric hospital where she contacted Covid and was tied down to a stretcher. Before moms discharge from Botsford hospital, We informed Matt, the Director of Anthology, we found mom another place that would be a better fit for her. Especially because they sent her away 2 times in 2 weeks. Mom was sent away Mid December and never came back to Anthology They took money out from moms bank account for all of December and January and four days in February. The blessing in this, is we found another wonderful facility that is amazing and loving, helpful, and excellently trained in helping the elderly with dementia. They are very interactive. Mom is now happy, and taken well care of as she deserves.

So thankful we found Anthology. After being somewhere else that was a disaster, the whole family was able to sit back & relax. We chose Anthology for the location, cleanliness & freedom to visit according to State Covid Protocol. They did a through job keeping track of guest, visitor Covid tests & quarantine when necessary. The staff (Management, Health Assessors, Main Desk, Nurses, Janitorial, Maintenance , Dinning, Therapy, Activities...) are all as sweet as can be, which is very important, but they also follow all of the rules. Kaitlyn, the pleasant & very organized, manager, gave me her contact info & assured me I could call her anytime, She would immediately reply, which was such a difference from the last place mom stayed. It took a few days for mom to make her way out of her room, but once she did, she made many friends & loved the activities. Legacy in house PT OT & exercise class was an absolute blessing. Unlike other therapy places, they didn't give up on my mom.

My sister was transferred from a rehab facility to Anthology Rochester Hills recovering from West Nile Diease. The facility is so beautiful, tranquil, non institutional, lovely. All of the staff is so kind, caring, eager to help. My sister has gone from lying in a hospital bed without use of her legs in a nursing home to attending wheel chair yoga, meditation, outside wheel chair tour of the facility with new friends, a birthday party, wine tasting, hair style/make over at the salon, and continued rehab for her recovery AND the ability to cross her ankles without help from her arms!!!! She has been at Anthology for such a short time and they have transformed her recovery/attitude/hope. I am forever grateful for the wonderful people at Anthology.

Great attentiveness from the administrative staff, the general staff are very accommodating as well. I've had both of parents there for over a year, throughout the course of their aging they have moved from one apartment to another with great assistance from the staff. They have handled the COVID-19 pandemic extremely professionally while balancing the needs of residents and roles of family members, being fair, reasonable and supportive. Communication from management to families is frequent and relevant. The staff actually do have a passion for elder care.
