Personally my first choice in downriver for a senior who wants to stay independent. My grandmother-in-law is a independent senior and we have been searching for somewhere she can maintain her independence and we can have peace of mind and Kinghaven is the best fit. I personally managed the culinary department at this location and after getting to know the staff and Directors this is where I feel most comfortable having a family member live.

Our mother resided at Atria for 1 1/2 years, and in that time she and all our family were treated with true caring. The knowledgeable staff consistently went above and beyond, and I can’t say enough about the peace of mind we felt. The community spaces were welcoming and homey, daily activities were diverse and stimulating, year-round special events were like icing on the cake. We would highly recommend Atria Kinghaven and it’s “We are family” environment.

Our mother has been living at this faculty for several years. She feels very safe there. She enjoys the interaction with others taking advantage of all the activities that are offered. The staff is kind and courteous . The facility is clean and the grounds are very well kept. We are extremely satisfied with the care our mother receives. OMGsh ❣️❣️❣️I’m a private duty caregiver and most of my clients are at Atria Kinghaven. It’s always such a joy to care for a client here because at Atria Kinghaven you’re never feel like you’re alone. The staff treat you like family. And the residents are always so chipper and happy because every staff member is treated with the utmost respect and TLC imaginable. Never have I seen such devotion, caring compassionate teamwork and I’ve been around this work for 35 years. Flora and Dan are very special. They hold and keep Atria Kinghaven together as a family unit. That’s not easy with so many personalities running around staff, residents, family members and private duties. It’s super clean, the food is fantastic! Overall, the warmth here at Atria Kinghaven is evident. I walked through their doors almost two years ago the love and warmth was overwhelming and today it still remains the same with each passing day.

My mom (Hazel) has lived at Kinghaven Atria for a couple of years, she loves the privacy and that she does not have to cook or clean. She was recently hospitalized and could not wait to get back to her apartment and friends at Kinghaven. ( staff are friends too) I appreciate she is treated with respect, dignity and care.

I am a long term employee with Kinghaven and have seen many changes over the last 20 years. I have to say that the management team and the employees here are more than employees to one another . We have a family here and I think that makes for a wonderful working relationship.

Atria Kinghaven is a great place for the Kiwanis of Riverview to hold our weekly meeings. Atria provides us a meeting room so we can plan our civic programs that benefit the children of our community. The food is always great and the environment is always clean, comfortable, and very friendly.

My mother voluntarily moved from her house where she lived alone to her apartment in Atria Kinghaven in March . She told me she was just going to check it out and didnt plan to make any decisions until summer. Well, everyone and the facility were so nice, she made an appointment to sign up. She seems very happy with her new place. She likes the food and more importantly likes the fact she is not eating alone. She tells me she hasnt had time to get too involved with activities because she is cleaning out the house to sell it. However, she is looking forward to getting more involved as soon as the house sells. She currently has her car but may be giving it up once she doesnt have to go back to the house so often. She thinks the cost of living at Atria Kinghaven is about the same as living in her home in Bridgwater. She is saving money that was spent on taxes, HOA fees, grocery shopping, home maintenance and utilities. And she doesnt have to worry about finding a handyman or housekeeper. From my point of view , she made a very good decision.

I just moved my Grandfather in here today from up north around Silver Lake area and he says he loves this place more then anything. He just turned 89 today and i hope he has many years to come in this village.Be kind to my Grandfather !!
