I have to share my experience with Evelyn, and Destiny at Oliver woods. We toured this facility in hopes to find one closer to us for my husband's father. We were over the moon pleased with the facility itself. What we were even more impressed with, is the dedication these wonderful ladies have to the residents and families. We were unable to go through with the move, because my husband's father declined rapidly right after our meeting. Not only did these ladies not bow out, but they also helped us where they could and kept checking in to see if we needed any more help. Knowing we would be unable to move him there, as he was then transferred to hospice and passed away shortly after. They went above and beyond even knowing we would not be able to move him to their facility. That is one of the best examples of kindness I have seen in such a long time. Oliver Woods is blessed to have them, and I hope they're appreciated so much there.

I've worked here for four and a half years I love my job and my residents. I care for them like they are my own family. Administration works well with schedules for school and or other employment, amazing teamwork among the staff which promotes outstanding care for our residents. The best part of my job is hearing life stories from days gone by.

Our experience has been that Oliver Woods is a welcoming, warm retirement community with caring, hardworking caregivers. They offer various levels of care and room options to accommodate individual and changing needs, as well as group activities to encourage social interaction. I have been a employee at Oliver Woods for 10 years and its a great place to work. Of course it has its ups and downs and takes a little time to get used to how the health care world works but once you get the feel of things it great. the residents are 100% amazing. You really do create such large and meaningful relationships with them. To you are making a difference in their lives is simply priceless.

This place is comforting to visit and work. These resident's are like family. I visit them often. I feel this place is cozy enough to turn into a great home for any lived one. Activities are schrsched through the day to create moments of joy with people. By the way we love to dance! The staff here are great, they are there to help you if you need anything and they are available 24/7!

My mother has been well taken care of by a friendly staff. Many activities are offered every week as well as special days and holidays celebrated. Housekeeping does a very good job on a weekly basis. I really appreciate the in house hair salon and the choice to have in house doctors and other services such as toenail cutting. If there is anything that might need a little improvement, it would be apartment maintenance such as broken blinds fixed, burned out light bulbs replaced and drains unplugged done in a more timely fashion.

When I was researching assisted living facilities in the Owosso Michigan area for my brother, Oliver Woods was the clear and only choice for him. It is simply the best! The care is the most important thing in my mind for my brother. The staff at Oliver Woods is amazing! They are extremely well trained and are all caring individuals. All aspects of care are executed perfectly. I am so impressed and feel really confident that my brother is in the best care hands available. The facility is absolutely gorgeous and spacious. Activities are endless for the residents as well, from concerts to art projects to interactive story reading to games to exercise classes to outings. I am sure I am missing some! The meals are prepared well are on a schedule everyday. My brother loves everything about Oliver Woods! I wouldn't have him anywhere else. Oh......from my side, the administrative staff is also very caring, extremely knowledgeable, and timely. All are very helpful whenever I need clerical items addressed.

Our good friend has been living at Oliver Woods for 8 months now. We, her family and friends, feel she has received excellent care and oversight since moving in for assisted living. Her apartment is pleasant and spacious for her needs. All of the Oliver Woods employees providing her excellent care are exceptional in their true friendliness and caring. Their willingness to make her lifestyle safe, pleasant and individualized as she has adapted to an assisted living setting has been greatly appreciated and gives us peace of mind that she is safe and taken care of at all times.. The many activities and services available to her is a real plus for her and all the residents. Meals are a real bonus at Oliver Woods--they are always timely and appealing, and as they try to fulfill individual tastes, residents' preferences are always taken into consideration.We are very pleased with Oliver Woods (and so is our friend who was/is in serious need of assisted living) and would recommend this facility highly!

My mother was a resident there several a years ago and when my aunts required the services of an assisted living facility it was an easy choice to choose Oliver Woods. We had visited another facility, but the atmosphere did not seem as welcoming as OW. The staff is always willing to listen and help with any concerns I might have and are very involved with the residents. OW caregivers treats everyone like family. Even the maintenance staff are friendly and interact with the residents. The activities help to keep my aunts involved and interacting with others which they wouldn't have gotten at home. I would recommend OW for anyone who is looking to place a loved one in need of their services.
