I toured this place recently with my dad. Pros: Very clean, quiet location, great reception, active social calendar, good amenities. Units are more spacious than elsewhere. They serve three meals a day. Regular housekeeping. Cons: no stoves in the kitchenettes. Distances to stores are a bit longer than other places we toured. Other: this is senior living, not a nursing home. There is an in-house (contracted) medical service that is pay as you go. I liked that they are there 24/7. Some seniors use this service regularly as their needs increase, and retain independent living.

My Mother resided at Oakmont Northville for a year before she passed. It was a good place for her to live as her apartment was cleaned, laundry done and meals provided. She participated in the activities and made friends among the residents. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. The Executive Director, Madeline, and the Assistant Director, George, were great and obviously cared about the well being of the residents. I highly recommend Oakmont Northville.

My mother lived at Oakmont for over eleven years. A month ago she was admitted to the hospital and returned to Oakmont Northville needing Hospice care, only to pass away several days ago. Many of the staff in the kitchen and housekeeping were amazing with my mom, visiting her after their work hours to see her and offer their support. Yet in that month period of time, I never heard from the Director, Madeline or the Associate Director, George offering sympathies or asking if there was anything they could do to assist my family or my mother. Spending a good deal of time at Oakmont Northville recently, I saw George on many occasions taking prospective new residents and their families on tour. In my opinion their sincerity is suspect. That is my perspective as a family member. I gave a three rating because of the many dedicated staff. I would have rated administration as a one for their callous insensitivity.

They don’t follow protocol with Covid also not happy with George very vague when ask a question also is willing to charge someone a 3,000.00 for a building key which she never had but after passing away now wants to know where it is but not when she was a live why would she have a building key ? Each time I visit, the staff are professional and friendly to me as a visitor and especially to the residents. The facility itself is clean and aesthetically pleasant all around! An excellent location for seniors to live in a caring environment, with fun activities and security for peace of mind for them and family.

My parents reside here and did not like the quality of the food or menu selections. I am happy to share that I have witnessed first hand an improvement in the quality of food and the menu overall. I am glad to see that someone understands and recognizes the importance of quality meals and the joy it brings to people.

I am so glad that our family chose Oakmont for our mother to stay. She is always happy when I come to visit her every week. The meals are good, common areas attractive and homey and she has developed many friends.One of the things she most enjoys are the many different choices offered by activity director Julia.

What a relief for my brother and I to know that mom is in a lovely location. The staff is so friendly and caring. We worried about her living alone. Oakmont has been such a wonderful answer to our worries. The wonderful food and activities are icing on the cake.

So far so good. My grandparents have been here for 6 months and they are being treated very well. They dont utilize any of the programs offered because they are mostly home bound but the place is beautiful. My children love coming to visit, staff is kind and they do a great job. My grandparents are very happy here.

My mother has been living at Oakmont for 3+ years. The staff is very caring and loving. The facility is clean and well furnished. Food is great. There are plenty of activities and medical services. People are friendly.My wife searched throughout our area and Oakmont stood out and really met our needs.Last November we celebrated my mothers 100th birthday.

After visits to many facilities in the area, I chose Oakmont-Northville. Marie, the awesome Activities Director keeps my 90 year old mom, motivated and busy. Everyone is super friendly.....including the receptionists, housekeepers, food service staff, Leah in transportation, Pat the building Engineer, and each and every person I have had the pleasure to meet. Carol and Debbie in the Hair Salon are wonderful. The girls in Balanced Home Care are very caring and gentle with my mom. The Director and Assistant Director are eager to help in any way they can to make living at Oakmont a positive and comfortable experience. I feel like I made the right choice!!
