The care for my client is AMAZING!!! Nadine and Mona are wonderful! I could not ask for more attentive, gentle, caring and loving people to work with her. When I was told my mother needed to be placed into a nursing home my heart sank. This was in April 2020, the start of the Covid 19 pandemic. While I was searching for a nursing home it was suggested I look into group homes. I found Walnut Creek Living and read the reviews. This was exactly what I was looking for. My mother was 100 years old at the time. From the first day I could tell I had made the right choice. Ray and Joann, her caregivers, are wonderful with her. They are kind, loving people who treat my mother as part of their family. My mother is now 101 years old. Because of the quarantine we were unable to be with her on her birthday. They celebrated with cake and ice cream. My mother speaks highly of you both. Thank you so much for all you do.

With my father falling ill so sudden, we had to scramble to find a place that could accommodate hospice. We hit the jackpot with Walnut Creek living. My father received the BEST care until he passed. Not only did he receive care, I truly felt so loved by Joann and Ray, his caregivers. During this difficult time having to watch my father decline so fast, they comforted me and helped guide me the entire time. I always felt so welcomed and was given updates when needed. This couple absolutely cares for its patients and their families. My father passed last week and Joanne took the time to crochet me an ornament because she knew it would be extra hard to lose him at the holidays. They go the extra mile and it meant so much to me.

I am forever grateful to Walnut Creek Living. Without them I would have no place to place my wife at a cost I can afford. I tried Right at Home but they charged me $552 a day for 7-24 care and I had to call them several times a week to have a member of their staff come to our home. Linda now has certain 7-24 care and my nerves can be assured that she will always have the care I am paying for. Thank you Lijo for providing a home for my wife. How many people save for this kind of care?

Having to place a parent in an adult care facility is always a hard decision. After caring for my mom at home for many years, I found it to be extremely hard. The owners from Walnut Creek were quick to meet with us and answer any questions we had. They were also always just a phone call away. Mom was placed at Beacon Square which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The caregivers, Frances and Teesha cared for my mom as if they were her daughters. Mom was always clean, warm, comfortable no matter the time of day. I can never thank these two ladies enough for not only taking such great care of my mom, but caring for me as well. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

I absolutely love Walnut Creek for the care, love and compassion they showed my husband. It is a wonderful home and the caregivers are the very best. They really helped me discover things to make my husband more comfortable and anticipate the coming changes. Walnut Creek is the best!!!

My father was a resident of Walnut Creek Living. The 24-7 care was absolutely incredible and my father and our entire family loved the home atmosphere and home cooking. The caregivers and the other residents and their families became one big family. The owner is very hands-on and is very interested in the residents care and lives. You can visit any time and see a home that is clean and the residents are well cared for and engaged. My father passed away and I am forever grateful that we found such a wonderful place for him.

My 99 year old mother fell at her home in early March, 2019. We were told by the physician at the hospital who treated her that she should no longer be cared for in her home, which we had hoped to do until her death. I did extensive research and visited several group homes with a heavy heart. The last group home I visited was Walnut Creek Living which came highly recommended. I was impressed with the lovely home, the warm inviting atmosphere, and most of all with Joanne, the caregiver, and the owner of the home, Lijo, who is not only a successful businessman, but a registered geriatric nurse. I visited and talked to the residents who seemed well cared for. One of the elderly women told me she had been at a different group home, and her son (a lawyer) moved her due to negligence by the staff. She told me she loved being at Walnut Creek, and she was very fond of Joanne and Lijo. I reserved a room for my mother to be transported to Walnut Creek upon her release from the hospital. Unfortunately, she passed away in the hospital so didn't get to enjoy the experience of Walnut Creek. If I know of anyone looking for a group home for their loved one, I will definitely refer them to Walnut Creek

This is the best home for your loved ones if you are looking in Macomb County. Nothing else compares! The owner is extremely helpful and answered all my questions thoroughly when looking for a place for my step dad. The staff is kind, patient and caring and the residents love them. The home is well maintained and we were always treated like family when we visited. The food is delicious and it is home made. I would recommend Walnut Creek Living every time. It is wonderful for the elderly to live in a home environment and my step dad enjoyed each and every day he was there. Thank you Lijo.

I did quite a lot of research before transferring my mom from Rose Senior Living to Walnut Creek. The contrast in care was remarkably evident right from the start. Lijo truly cared about my mom and accommodated all our needs to make my mom's stay the best for her. The home setting was much better than a large facility setting. The home was clean, the help was personalized, and the caring extremely attentive. Joanne and Ray went out of there way to accomadate my mom. Once making a store run just to get her a specific food she wanted. I would bring my mom her favorite Italian bread salad, Panzanella. I made it ahead of time. Joanne told me if I showed her how to make it she'd make it for her. That little gesture said a lot to me. They were like family. I was looking forward to my mom enjoying BBQ's outside that summer. Unfortunately, my experience at Walnut Creek was short lived. My mom arrived at Walnut Creek after having fallen out of her wheelchair at Rose Senior Living. A short time after her arrival my mom had to be transferred to the hospital. She shortly after passed away from complications of her fall. Lijo was always by my side calling with helpful suggestions and support. Near the end, he helped recommend the best hospice care. I wish I had met Lijo and had started my mom's care with him right from the start. I have highly recommended Walnut Creek Living and will continue to do so. Wishing anyone in our shoes a great home with amazing care for their loved ones, right from the start.
