We didn't need an assisted living facility, but one with individual apartments that would be safer and easier to live in than the house my aunt had that had become too difficult for her. Oakmont has many aspects that support aging and promote socialization. They do a great job incorporating seasonal change and traditions into activities and even the menu. And the residents are connected to local events, too. They have Tigers watch parties and tailgates and even had olympic games during the winter olympics. The activity director, Jodi, is a gem. All of the staff treated my aunt well. There is a third party homecare team on site that is available and they were great. This company was brought in last October and was a big improvement over the previous one. The previous company had some really caring employees and it's too bad they couldn't stay to be on the Homestead staff. Their supervisor, Shereen, is outstanding. The building and grounds are very clean and the atmosphere is so welcoming.

I went to visit the site with a friend. The tour by Jessica Stillwell was warm, loving, professional, informative, impressive and totally delightful! I would give it 10 stars! Scrupously clean, beautful room selections, engaging, tons of activies, safety forward, opportunities to enjoy nature, and more. I've driven by it so many times and had no idea how phenomenal it is. Recommending to a number of my friends!

My tour of the facilty was great! Janine was my reprentative and she was fantastic. She had information on topics and services that I knew I needed and some services I had not even thought about. Prices are reasonable. I only wish the units had balconies. Very clean with friendly staff.

So happy with our choice, awesome friendly staff...they care honestly. Bright clean spacious rooms, no smell anywhere(you know what smell I'm talking about). Great laundry service, and their on site medical care "Balanced Home Care" does a real good job as well, we used them to distribute my fathers meds. Would recommend them highly.

My mother moved into Oakmont from upper Michigan over 2 years ago. It is such an amazing facility with a staff that is so compassionate and caring. It was starting a new life for our 90 year old Mother and she mastered it so well with all of the help they provide. She feels safe and at home! They have a fantastic Activities Director that makes getting residents involved, a priority. I thank them all so much from their cleaning staff to their laundry team. Their Administrative Staff to their medical assistance team, to the cafeteria crew! You are all great! Thank you! Our family is so grateful! ’

My mother in law is currently a resident here. We were concerned about her acclimating to a new residence. But after 3 months she feels very comfortable. And we are a lot more at ease with her getting the care she needs. Beautiful place!

My mom moved in about 1.5 years ago and has done well living at Oakmont. It was a major life change for her. The common areas are beautifully kept and very clean; they are quite beautifully decorated at the holidays. The team there is lovely and the activities director is totally engaged in her job. I"m glad my mom chose Oakmont. It has worked out well for our families.

My mother moved here over 3 years ago after a massive stroke. The staff was great in working with her to get her back to her old self. She has one of the smaller apartments yet it's big enough when the whole family visits. The grounds are very pretty to walk around and she loves to take a book outside to read. The staff is wonderful and are like a second family to her.

My mother has been there about a year and a half and the residents and staff are great. From time to time she requires additional services and Balanced Home Care comes eagerly to the rescue. The food and housekeeping staff are also fantastic. I hope she can enjoy the community for many years to come !

My dad and mom have lived at Oakmont for 3 years. It really is a community where residents are friendly and the staff go out of their way to make things fun. They were absolutely wonderful during the last months of my dad's life. He died in October and the staff consoled my mom and were so helpful in every aspect of this sad time. She decided to stay at Oakmont and they were helpful when we moved her into a studio apartment. She is doing well and is surrounded by caring, friendly, and loving people.

My mom has been a part of the Oakmont Livonia community for almost seven years now. Needless to say, we could not be happier. She loves the staff and the friends she has made with all the residents. The activities and services can not he beat. All of mom's needs a taken care of. From laundry and housekeeping, to meals and transportation. Oakmont does it all. I have to say, that what her family love the most is the peace of mind that we have knowing that Mom is being well looked after. You can't put a price on that. In June 2015 my sisters and I decided to move our mom from the home she loved to Oakmont Livonia. We were very concerned that this move could cause her significant anxiety. The initial meetings and tour conducted by management were very impressive compared to those of other senior facilities we visited. We hoped it was not just a good sales pitch!! Well, I am happy to tell you that every encounter we have had with other staff members was as impressive! The caring, respectful attitude displayed by management has truly trickled down to the entire staff (and residents) at Oakmont Livonia. Our mom looks forward to mealtime, entertainment, bingo, cards and even the visits in the morning from the ladies in housekeeping that make her bed and empty her garbage! The activities director works hard to involve all residents and really shows her love for each of them! The staff that delivers her daily meds are awesome as well. At first mom said, "oh!, I don't need anyone to bring me my meds!, I can remember!" We knew she did need this service, so we set it up and now she looks forward to their visits and hugs! Mom was hospitalized last year and did not go back to Oakmont for about a month. She missed her "home" so very much and was so surprised at how happy everyone was to see her upon her return! I'd like to extend a huge thanks to the management and staff for the love they give our mom daily and for truly making it a home she loves! God Bless you All!

The people that work here are awesome very friendly, clean, lots of activities and the people that live there are all so friendly. I moved my mom to Oakmont in Livonia 2 months ago. I am so pleased with everything about this place. The first thing you notice is how clean and updated it is. I had dinner the first night she stayed and breakfast the next morning. The food is great and the presentation of the meals and the dining room adds to the experience. The staff is friendly and helpful. The people that live there are so welcoming! I always say hello and goodbye and they all respond with a smile. I made a request to have a grab bar added to the shower and it was done in a matter of a couple of days. I cannot imagine a nicer place for my mom to live. I highly recommend Oakmont to anyone looking for a place for their loved one!

Recently refurbished, the place looks good and it's well kept. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I looked at no fewer than 6 other semi-assisted living places in the Livonia area and this one was definitely the best value for the money. The reason I made Oakmont the final choice for my Mom was because of the other residents who live there -- some who have voluntarily moved in because they were recently widowed and tired of taking care of their home. This isn't a place where you're sending the old mare out to pasture, but a vibrant community of older folks who like to have a good time. There are plenty of activities to keep people busy, as well. The community of Livonia has a lot to offer for senior citizens and Oakmont was the right choice for us.
