Reviews Symphony Linden
March 2026
We really appreciate Symphony. Our grandma moved in a few weeks ago and was quite sick at the time. The staff was so kind and compassionate with both grandma and our family as she recovered, and checked in with us a lot to make sure all was well. We're so grateful for the attentive care!! Shoutout to Brianna for always lending an ear and going way above and beyond!
February 2026
I want to thank Brianna for being so kind and understanding. Not only has she provided great insight into the Symphony Community, but she also showed genuine care for my family's situation. I cannot thank her enough for the guidance she has provided.

Our mother was recently at Symphony of Linden for a few months until she passed. During the daunting and complex process of taking her from independent living to skilled living, Symphony's staff was excellent. You can tell the staff love serving people and working with the elderly. We had a very good experience. Shout out goes to Sicilee, Bo, Melissa, Ben, and the nurses and aides in our mom's wing of the residency during her stay. Our family really appreciated their outstanding customer service, attention to detail, and genuine concern for all aspects of the process. Thank you!

Symphony Linden Contact form Full name Chelsea Ann Phone number +18106108421 Email [email protected] What are you looking for help with? I was just discharged from your facility yesterday. I just want to thank you all for everything you did to help me get better and to the point that I am at. Every single person I met was incredibly nice and always helpful. You have a great team working. I send so many thanks to the Management, food services, janitors, doctors, nurses and aides. God bless you all and again, thank you so much for all you've done for me and even how sweet you treated my family. Bowe was incredibly sweet and made sure my stay was wonderful. The office staff were so welcoming and kind. I also send a huge thanks to PT and OT for helping me get better and giving me the knowledge of how to do things properly to not injure myself any further. Symphony is a beautiful and clean facility. I felt so comfortable there with everyone. You all do a great job taking care of your patients. You are fantastic. Thank you, I am grateful.

My dad was at Symphony for 5 months before he passed. The aids and med techs cared about him and he said he received good care. The facility is nice and kept clean. That’s the extent of the good aspects at Symphony. The food was awful. Most meals my dad took one bite and said it was terrible. Many of my dad’s belongings went missing at Symphony including bedding, clothes, dishes, and even TP we brought. I was constantly tracking things down with no avail. Even after I put his name on everything- items routinely disappeared. My dad suffered from UTI’s and low BP and neither ailments were managed well. There is only one PA for the entire facility M-F 9 to 5 and she cared but couldn’t provide adequate care. My dad had 5 trips to the ER between February and April and 4 of those ER visits could have been avoided with some monitoring by the PA. The last week my dad was there he was in hospice care. The AL director made the week a living hell. My dad was a huge fall risk and hospice ordered bed rails. They are usually not allowed by the state but in hospice they can be used with family consent. The rails were delivered twice, our family consented and the rails were never located. My dad fell, broke his nose and the night aid left him naked, on the floor with his folly bag next to him and a pillow under his head. The day aid called me crying in the morning to let me know what happened. I stayed with my dad after that on a mattress in his room. The pharmacy that Symphony uses is in Illinois and meds were often delayed. My dad went 24 hours with no pain meds whatsoever with a hip fracture and in the active stage of dying. The hospice nurse and I went to Walgreens to fill scripts ourselves. The pharmacy never did deliver morphine in pre-filled syringes so hospice had to express ship them from another pharmacy. Now that my dad has passed, I can’t get anyone to resolve two remaining financial issues (rent to be refunded and reimbursement for a wheelchair they lost) despite numerous emails to Bowe (the overall manager) billing and even the owner of Symphony. I gave 2 stars because the aids were great for the most part but management is not responsive at all.
July 2025
Currently a patient here and not happy with them. Can't seem to change a bandage for a wound. Always getting your medication late. This place is very short staff for the night shift. Received my last antibiotics in a ball to go through the pic line that I have and here it is 1 am and still have the stupid ball hooked up. This antibiotics will be done within 90 minutes. I should not have this still hooked up beyond that time. I bet none of the workers here would not like this hooked up to them beyond the 90 minutes. Kind of wondering what is keeping them from doing their job. Especially since no one in my hallway has their buzzers going.

Symphony Linden looks nice on the surface but is dangerously disorganized behind the scenes. Call lights go unanswered, communication is nearly nonexistent unless you chase it down, and departments don’t coordinate; what the right hand is doing, the left doesn’t know. Staff do the bare minimum, and there are no real systems or oversight. If your loved one isn’t bedbound now, they may become that way here. Understaffed, poor retention, no checks and balances. This facility is poorly run. Families must constantly advocate just to get basic care. Run—don’t walk—away.
April 2025
Terrible. The place looks good but smae experiences as the negative reviews. Never cleaned the floors even after requested numerous times. For 4 days the same food was on my Moms clothes, bed and blankets. They never showered or changed her and she stunk so bad her last few days there. Definitely neglected and would not recommend. We moved her to Serene gardens in Hartland and what a difference. My Moms mental health is much better after only a few days. Avoid Symphony of Linden!
April 2025
I've attended multiple events at the facility and appreciate their contribution to the small town.
April 2025
What a wonderful facility! My loved one was in rehab and then they transferred to their assisted living. The whole team came together to make the process so easy for our family. The staff is passionate about helping others, very clean and I feel confident they will get the best care. The rooms are spacious and can’t beat the all inclusive pricing. Highly recommend!

My mother has been at Symphony for just over a year now and we both have nothing to but positive things to say about the staff and facilities for assisted living. She has enjoyed the activities and has been well taken care of giving me great peace of mind. A big thank you to everyone who has helped her make this transition enjoyable day in and day out!

This is Tracy Oden. I’m currently employed with this company. It is not a great company. The staff has mean spirits. They talk to you with no respect they talk to the residence in a nasty way. It’s not clean the manager. [name removed] went through my personal information regarding my address, she came to me on the floor with other coworkers and basically told everyone where I lived I am not from Flint I’m from Detroit I didn’t understand why she did that I felt threatened. I didn’t wanna come back to work because I felt like my life was in danger. She’s not a nice person.

My grandparents stay on the Independent living side & ever since they have moved here, they have had issues. Last week my grandpa said that for breakfast they were given only two silver dollar pancakes for breakfast and that they were small. My Grandma has had issues with the nurses not being accommodating to her and her needs as she can't help herself. I don't think the nurse is no longer there, but we had an issue with one of the nurses asking my Grandpa if he needed help lifting my grandma with the hoyer lift. My Grandpa is 82 years old & shouldn't have to be lifting my Grandma when there is help that can give my Grandma the proper care that she needs. She has told us that she has sat in soiled undergarments for way to long. Something has got to give with the care and treatment my Grandparents have gotten.

I have had an exceptional experience at Symphony here in Linden. The staff here is incredibly caring, attentive, and professional. Every time I visit, I am greeted with warmth and kindness, making it feel like a second home. The facility is always clean, well-maintained, and has a comforting atmosphere. The nurses and caregivers are highly skilled and go above and beyond to ensure that every resident receives the best possible care. They are always available to answer questions and address any concerns promptly and efficiently. The activities and programs offered are engaging and diverse, catering to the interests and needs of all residents. It’s heartwarming to see how much effort is put into making sure everyone is happy and active. I am particularly impressed by the level of personalized care provided. The staff takes the time to get to know each resident and tailors their approach to meet individual needs. This personalized touch makes a significant difference in the quality of care and overall experience. Overall, Symphony Linden is a fantastic skilled nursing facility that I highly recommend. It’s evident that the staff truly cares about the well-being of their residents, and it shows in every aspect of their work. Thank you for creating such a wonderful and supportive environment!

I found the facility and the people who work there to be lovely. I had the opportunity to tour this facility at a networking event created by Bre who does all their marketing. One of the staff members took me around and showed me the gardens and the interior hallways are designed to look like you are in a quaint downtown like you see up north but with an artists influence. There is this adorable telephone booth with a Superman costume that did not miss my notice and as you walk you see these shops and these beautiful trees . The staff member mentioned that they switch out the leaves on the trees for each season. Each part of the decor had a lot of thoughtful details so a person who is there for rehab has something to explore . The cinema has all the classics featured on the wall as posters and there is also is a piano . I loved this space because it was just the right size and was super cute and comfortable. The gardens in the courtyard were beautiful. Being able to sit there with the statues and the water fountain was so tranquil and peaceful. I was able to sample the food and I thought it was really good and they also have a pub in case one of the clients want to socialize. There is also a salon and separate rooms for physical therapy. I really appreciated being able to see all the amazing amenities that there is available and the friendliness of the staff . The lady that walked me around at the networking events had been there for over 20 years and told me how much she loves her job and her company. The thing that I appreciated most is that everything was created so it felt intimate and not overwhelming due to its size even though it is a rather large place. I like small venues and find large spaces to be overwhelming so if you have a family member like me this would be a good place for them to go to heal.

I recently had 2back surgery's, the first went well at hosp I left able to walk with walker.as I had before surgery. The 2nd I had to relearn walking. I left hospital and transfered to outside facility for more rehab. Well I discovered a pearl of a facility as we didn't know anything about the place. It had everything we wanted. Excellent therapy physical and occupation .Was given excellent one on one by physical therapist. The nursing assistants were high caliper. As my last job was to certify nursing assistants for State of Michigan. excellent consistent physical and privacy care. To top it off good normal food ,with alternative choices, plus a private room bigger than my bedroom at home. Given weekly care plan updates for patients and families.also other are facility doctor, physician assistant,a pulmonary physician assistant, pain management, nutritionist . Now you know why it is a pearl. I will be going home in week or so.It was worth taking a chance. Forgot had a pub open 4day a week with free lemonade/popcorn, and snacks for sale at minimum price. Also activities every day. Recently had a mothers day tea w/bingo,snacks,oh,also a movie theater.i probably forgot some. I feel safe and secure.you won't be sorry. I have some special folks ,Ben, John,Kerri Corey(wound /infection control),Shay,Kennedy,Steve(Scott),(PT)Christy (OT) .Shyvon.OT. If u r name I forgot u r all very caring.Have not run into one that isn't caring and professional. I have a whole team that will get me home

My wife spent 9 weeks at symphony for rehab and we were both very pleased with the care she received during her stay. The CNA'S, wound care nurse and RN nurses were extremely professional with the level of attentiveness for my wife's needs. The PA was well on top of things and always took the time to resolve any issues as well as answer questions that we would have. Also, the respiratory therapist is very knowledgeable and prompt with any decisions/adjustments that needed to be addressed. We are glad we chose this facility especially for the rehab aspect. The entire staff of PT and OT therapists were nothing short of phenomenal with the treatment for my wife. The management at Symphony should be proud of the staff that they have working for them.

RN's Pennie and Mary Ann took amazing care of me as did the aides....Turned an unpleasant situation into a positive experience!!!!

September 2023
As of right now, I'm rating this facility a 3 based on proceed/procedures for admission, communication and follow up. The facility itself is fairly well maintained and the staff is friendly. My father was admitted on September 2nd and it is September 8th and I have still not been in contact with the Social Worker nor has there been any type of well care meeting with the family coordinated. While the staff is friendly, the lack of communication and follow up from all departments is extremely frustrating. There is no formal admission process which seems crazy to me. The facility has no knowledge of my father's history, current medical condition or back story. I would think all of that would be important to understand while a care plan is being created. As well, this facility should know who the family primary and secondary contacts are. I completely understand the challenges in this industry but we MUST do better and we CAN do better. Communication is key! Follow up is key! If an employee says, "I'll get back with you as I'm not sure how to handle your question or am not sure of a status", get back with the person. No one is happy that our loved ones are at this facility or any other facility for care but we would be much happier if the staff communicated.

My experience as a family member of a Symphony Linden resident has been frustrating and demoralizing. In two years, I've interacted with many kind, caring, and professional aides, nurses, and physical therapists. However, the rotating cast of Administrators, Directors of Nursing and corporate contacts have repeatedly shown that they have little regard or respect for their patients and the family members. Some lowlights: - SL filed for conservatorship without notifying our family. The legal filing was full of demonstrable errors and lies. We notified SL and their lawyers, corrected the falsehoods, and asked for an amicable resolution. The matter dragged on for months, with minimal communication, explanation, or remorse from SL. - Record keeping is abysmal and not up-to-date. Our family has repeatedly resent communications (emails, meeting notes) regarding patient history and health plans. New staff members have been unaware of our family member's needs. - Missed and inaccurate medications, lax Covid precautions, and untrained staff using mobility equipment are serious matters to us. Our written concerns regarding these instances are usually ignored, though on rare occasions, we get a phone call to discuss their response - which cannot be documented. Perhaps this is due to staff turnover, poor record-keeping, or deliberately keeping these infractions under wraps (no written acknowledgement of patient endangerment?). We've requested that all interactions are documented in writing to no avail. These are just a few of the issues that my family has gone through while trying to be supportive of our loved one's care. "Callous," "incompetent," and "negligent" are words that we would use to describe the majority of our interactions with the Linden administration and Symphony corporate office. I hope my review gives a warning to those considering entering a relationship with this company. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for quality care for your loved ones, and partnership, compassion, and respect for your family.
July 2022
Well here I go again. I am a personal caregiver for "guest" at symphony. I give her her bed bath, I lotion her down, I do her laundry because they cannot pretreatment and her clothes are extremely stained, I sweep and clean her room I go fetch whatever she needs. Now dont get me wrong, I don't mind doing these things....it's my job she private pays me to be there for her. Repeat, SHE pays me not Symphony or anyone else so for the administrator to think it is necessary to tattle that I am laying on her love seat or on my phone is neither yours or the person you are reporting to. If you were making sure your emoyees were doing their jobs instead of your employees hanging out talking laughing, fighting, arguing and threatening each other then you can tattle. I do my job for my client and your facility's as well. Like making sure she gets a serving of each meal she is paying for, making sure she actually takes her meds, changing her canula as needed and emptying her water trap so water doesn't go to her nose. I could go on but you get the pic. Yes, I may be on my phone, what you don't know is alot of times I have looked up things and we are discussing it. Yes I layed on her loves eat, I come to look out for her even if I don't feel well because some of your employees are incapable and you don't have the backbone to fire them. Instead of worrying about if I am on my phone or laying on her loveseat which she knows and she is my employer take care of your own employees. That's why this place is going downhill like it is..
July 2020
The convenience to being close to my home is one of the benefits of this facility. The Aids on the floor are very nice and caring, but the facility food is terrible, when an elderly patient complains about the food and small portion size, you know it is bad. With the pandemic I felt the staff was disrespectful and uninformative to family. They would not let you send anything into your loved ones, like fresh fruit ( which they lack) snacks or beverages, even a gift, without a fight. This pandemic is tough on the elderly who are use to seeing loved ones daily. My mom become depressed and confused, because she was just setting in her room with no social interaction. She knocked off tv and broke it, it was a nightmare trying to get her tv replaced. I ended up removing her to come home with me and she is doing much better but the fight still continues with getting a refund for time paid but she didn't stay.

Assisted Living Center uses the term "assisted living" or "personal care" to inform users that a community provides assistance with some Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). It may not meet your state's legal definition required for that level of care.
