I recently had the privilege of touring Mariella of Lake Orion, and I was truly impressed from the moment I walked through the doors. The community is absolutely beautiful and has the feel of a luxury hotel lobby while still being warm and welcoming. I had the opportunity to meet with the management team, and it was immediately clear that they genuinely value their residents and are passionate about providing exceptional care. One thing that stood out during my tour was that members of the management team greeted each resident they passed by name. That personal connection speaks volumes about the time, attention, and genuine relationships they build with those who call Mariella home. As a social worker at a local rehabilitation facility, I would wholeheartedly recommend Mariella of Lake Orion to any of my patients or their families who are looking for an assisted living community. My visit left me confident that residents receive compassionate, personalized care in a beautiful and supportive environment.

I commend the management team and care staff for handling the recent mandated evacuation due to a water main break with excellent communication, compassion for all of the residents and families and professional during a crisis situation. I was fortunate that I could care for my mom in my own home. She could not wait to get back home. It gave me peace of mind that mom considers Mariella of Lake Orion as her home now. She feels safe, loved and well take care of by everyone there. Thank you to the entire team for all that you do for the residents at Mariella!

Mariella of Lake Orion is a wonderful facility. As a local hospice nurse, I visit several patients there multiple times each week, and I’ve been consistently impressed since day one. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and eager to help, creating a positive environment every time I walk through the doors. There are too many great team members to mention, but I’d like to especially recognize Cory and Jen in the memory care unit for their hard work, compassion, and excellent communication. Their dedication truly makes a difference, and it shows in the care they provide.

My mother lived here for about six months as she recovered from a brain surgery. We weren't sure if it would be a temporary stay or something longer, and the staff was very accommodating around this. Mariella was a perfect balance of independence and care for my mother. She raved about the food and knew she could always count on the staff to help her when she needed it. We also liked that it is a smaller community so that she felt like a part of a family rather than just a patient number. Everyone greeted her by name and she made several friends with the other residents. The rooms were spacious and common areas lovely and well maintained. Though she is back home again, I would definitely recommend Mariella and will keep it in mind should we need assisted living care in the future.

Our family has been very pleased with the care of my mom. The management team has been attentive to our requests especially when she recently had a set back and her care plan and medications needed adjustment. The care team is always very sweet to her. I can’t say enough about the love and care the staff has shown my mom. Each one of them go out their way to make sure her needs are met. Kim and Betsy do such an amazing job with the planning and implementation of all the activities making sure each resident is included. Corey and Shane work extremely hard with the staff to make sure the residents needs are met. The care staff is amazing, so kind and always willing to help. The quality of food is wonderful. Chef James is creative and a good cook offering such a great variety of meals. Finally, the kitchen staff and servers are so patient and kind when interacting with the residents.

My grandma has been a resident at Mariella of Lake Orion for over a year. She raves about the home made meals prepared by Chef James and his team. Our family loves the weekly social hours put on by Kim, the Activities Director. It’s a great way for our grandma to spend time with her grandchildren. Finally, the staff really dote on her and she loves the attention. Grandma was hesitant to move here, but now she wishes she would have moved here sooner.
