The level of care that is being received by one of my family members is far beyond anything I've seen before. Speech, physical therapy, the very best foods high in protein and attention to every need a person could have. This is a special place with special care and it shows every time I visit.

LOVE the staff at the Willows of Howell. Every one of them. The place is shiny clean, the residents appear happy and engaged. I've witnessed personally the effort they put in to accommodating needs of the residents. I would 100% recommend and would 100% be sending my loved ones here.

My father has loved his stay. The staff go out of the way to make him comfortable (he is an amputee). He loves all the activities offered and is enjoying making new friends. He loves mealtime (given options and he feels like he is in control). My dad loves going outside and watching the planes fly over and look their rocks that are lined up along the borders. He loves to go for walks around the building and see all the birds at the feeders (he is looking at his feeder outside of his room).

The Willows of Howell is a nice place. People are friendly. For the most part, the care is very good. Improvement opportunity is in the area of coordinating insurance benefits with families, dealing with Medicare as a patient advocate, providing information to the patient/family to help if an appeal is necessary, discharge planning, etc. Also, answering incoming calls rather than allowing them to go to voicemail would be helpful to the families of Willows guests. Regarding the phone system and voicemail greeting, it's probably time for an update. The entire greeting is about COVID-19, how it's been declared a global pandemic, and what The Willows is doing about it. It seems like after 5 years, we should be able to move on from that. Still, The Willows at Howell is a good place.

My mom was extremely sick and I chose to send her to the Willows after receiving poor care at another facility in Brighton. The Willows staff is tentative. They provided my mother with the best care.

It's a pretty place, outside and inside, and clean, but....My elderly dad stayed here a couple weeks to recover & rehab after he fell, broke hip and had surgery. I'm not happy that when I visited & asked nurse if he was helped to do his exercises today, I was lied to. He was supposed to have help doing them 2-3x per day, and some days they only did them once. Dad told me most of the staff didn't listen to him, and some kept saying he had dementia. He doesn't have that-our family knows the difference because my mom had it for 12 years before she died of complications from dementia! He felt he wasn't cared for as he "should" have been. I & my sister agree. My sister, his medical support person, wasn't happy with the communication problems for my dad's appointment to the orthopedic surgeon. However, the appointment director made it right, rescheduled, and me & dad got transported to & fro via the public bus. I do realize in many places, staff is limited, so I still gave 3 stars, but I do think they could do better. Also, I could hardly ever get anyone on the phone! Glad I could go in person!

My husband and I joined my mom today for a monthly family brunch. I love how they have events like this to encourage family to visit and participate with their loved ones. The food was delicious. We also enjoyed another resident's company at our table which is always interesting and enjoyable The staff is wonderful. I'm glad we found this place for my mom.

The Willows of Howell is an exceptional place that I feel so blessed to have a loved one recovering there. So impressed by every single staff member. So thankful for the Physical Therapy team for their compassion, understanding and skills to provide the best care around. I have never experienced such a well run facility and I've been exposed to many. It's beautiful, clean and have the most caring loving people I've ever met. Thankful for The Willows of Howell.
