My father was moved into assisted living after a fall in 2021. He spent a year in American house memory care before his passing Fall of 2022. My Dad was very active with outside activities prior to his fall so it was quiet a adjustment to living confined within his building. The beginning of his first 6 months in the facility there were a lot of changes with staffing due to Covid and hard to find staffing to accommodate the building. This made it very difficult for all. Since then, David a new executive director and Shawn, a new wellness director have joined American House. I started to see changes immediately! These two together are making American House what I wanted from the beginning. They are both there to accommodate the residents as well as their employees. As a daughter to a father who lived at American House for a year my biggest concern was good care from their employees. I saw many employees leave due to not standing up to what American House wants in staffing. I also saw it starting to turn around to what David and Shawn are set out to achieve, caring employees. I toured a few assisted living facilities prior to American House. I recommend American House.

Good and caring place to work. The wellness director that older reviews talked about was fired and a new one was brought in, he's much nicer and will work with your schedule. They're lenient with college kids and they don't mandate anyone. If you work hard and fulfill your job requirements you'll have a good experience.

Our parents have been there about 4 years before dad passed. Mom has adjusted and we are happy this was home for both of them for a few years. Great staff, great new friends for our parents and very lovely.

My grandma was at American House (Holland). The staff is kind and caring. They take the time to get to know the residents and their families. They took very good care of my grandma and always made sure her needs were being met. My grandma really liked being there. The buildings are clean and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Food is really good too.

The staff are so caring to both our community members and their families. Every building is always clean to perfection and they staff their buildings to be able to ensure that we can give the best care and spend that extra time just conversating with our people an extra hug something that could be such a minor detail to the average person but means the world to someone else. The people who work there know the difference from just earning a pay check to touching lives one person at a time

We had a good visit at American House Holland. The ladies were very nice. I appreciated that they got right down to it and didnt waste my time or their time too much. I got a great tour, my questions were answered, and they sent me home with some good paperwork, too. They also introduced me to a person who lived there; it was very nice chatting with her. They had a couple of different kinds of rooms in the assisted living, including a studio with a bedroom, living room, and a little kitchenette. For the independent living, it was a separate bedroom, a nice kitchen, L-shaped kitchen, living room, a walk-up patio, closet, and a nice bathroom. In the independent-living, there weren't any showers, so they had to go someplace else to shower.

American House Holland was beautiful and gorgeous. The rooms were beautiful and seemed to be bigger, and the staff was very nice. The activities looked like they were pretty comprehensive, and they did a good job with it.
