A great place for your elderly relatives to live.

So far we are very pleased with our choice. Staff is caring and attentive. Katie the sales director was knowledgeable and upbeat. She went the extra mile. Invited us to have lunch. We feel secure placing our mother there.

My grandparents moved into The Marquette about three months ago. They cannot stop raving about the environment and the staff. Katie was a phenomenal sales manager and made the process so smooth! Malik the manager is great and you can tell he cares about the comfortability and the residents experiences!

On Friday, Oct 6th, I attended the Welcome Autumn Party hosted by Tender Hearts (Personal Care company). We enjoyed Halloween mugs that contained our apple cider, we had pails filled with candy and pretzels. It seemed like endless treats were being passed before the last treat was finished. We also received blank pumpkins and paint to decorate for a possible prize. While decorating, we got cheese and crackers, apple cider donuts, candy apples and pumpkin pie. I and my table mates enjoyed ourselves (agreed we were stuffed completely). It was a great event. Thank You Tender Hearts.

The Marquette just added an assistant manager named Jules Moore. She assisted getting it done for my brother who's been a 7-year tenant and had maintenance problems with his apartment. The manager Malik was unhelpful and did not get anything done. Another long-term employee Phyllis who is a server has always done a great job and needs recognition. Keep up the good work.

Recently found a home for my grandmother after looking for months to find the right place. The team here has been nothing but helpful during this transition and has made our experience wonderful so far. No complaints on the staff and the facility thus far.

Wonderful place, great staff, tasty meals. Clean and a comfortable temperature the whole building. Well done staff.
March 2022
Not so great. Meals need a lot of work. If you don't mind waiting over an hour for not very good food. Weekly housekeeping a laugh, once in 3 weeks is the normal very very light housekeeping. Nothing is ever dusted. Not happy resident.

My mother lives here. For the most part it is great; however services aren't what was offered when my mother started living there for the cost.

They have a menu of services and they can tailor their care to your needs and are available 24, 7, which helps to make The Marquette the perfect place for us!

Mom has been here about 18 months now. I looked at a bunch of places before choosing the Marquette and could not be happier with the decision. Very clean, food is really good and family is welcome. The staff is caring and they have Tender Hearts, a care facility, on site to assist with additional needs.

Good place to retire. A lot cheaper than bircham hills and a little bit more intimate
January 2019
Our sales person was excellent she also allowed us to have lunch at the facility. She suggested if Im looking at other places too also try lunch so you can get an idea of the food. Seems like a lot of activities. For the price of the rooms were rather small. She kept saying look at it like you would a cruise ship everything is provided. Unfortunately mom likes to cook still and they dont even have a stove and oven and their units

The managers at this facility (Mike and Gabby) are incredibly kind people who go above and beyond to take good care of their seniors. However, there are many unfortunate things that are beyond their control. One is a HUGE and constant turnover in staff. I assume this is due to low pay. Another unfortunate thing is the incredibly high price tag on rent. My mother paid over $2,500 for a tiny, one-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette. Her rent was raised more than $100, mo after one year. You pay for three meals per day whether you eat them or not. The rent does include utilities, complete with (incredibly slow, often non-functioning) internet service and even cleaning once per week. Anything else you need in terms of assistance or health care is provided by an on-site, third party service that charges quite a bit. The facility is nice and in a nice location, but decor is dated, and food quality is mediocre at best. (I think they went through at least three chefs in the year she lived there.) We were told there would be an extensive onboarding process to help my mom get settled and socialized when she moved in, but there was absolutely NOTHING done in terms of an orientation of any kind. We were also told there were a lot of activities. There are virtually none. Though this is called independent living, most of the residents are not physically or mentally able to participate in anything. They attend meals but stay in their own apartments, otherwise. After one year, we moved my mom to a facility that is much nicer, 65% less expensive and offers a la carte meals that you only pay for if you order in advance.
