I want to share something from my point of view about Ashley Court of Brighton. I am the Activity Director and I have worked here for 5 years. We have grown the activity team to a group of four ladies of whom I am very proud to work side by side. Each one of us absolutely love working here. Our hearts are filled every single day with joy, laughter, and even tears as we grow to know and care for each resident. We spend 6 days a week doing everything we can to give them a feeling of hope, enjoyment, and purpose. I came here wanting to make a difference in their lives not realizing it is them that have made the biggest difference in mine. I'm greatful and thankful for my job.

My Aunt has been at Ashley's court for 18 months. I can't say enough about the wonderful caregivers. They love her and are so kind and patient. She enjoys the activities. The porches and outside area are like a park. I recommend them 100%. When covid hit and we couldn't visit the caregivers stepped up and loved her like family.

Our Mom lived at Ashley Court for the past 18 months. We are so grateful for the love and compassion she received from all the caregivers and staff--they treated her like family. She was given opportunities to continue doing what she loved--gardening, walking club, along with many daily activity options. The smaller environment and her being able to have her own room really made it feel like home. With COVID restrictions this past year, the staff filled in to offer church services and meaningful holiday events for all the residents. One of our favorite memories was the Alzheimers Walk last fall. We enjoyed being outdoors with our Mom and meeting so many other families. Thank you Ashley Court staff--your wonderful care for our Mom will never be forgotten.

My mother has been a resident of Ashley Court in Brighton since August of 2018. She started in Building 1 and is now residing in Building 3. All of the caregivers and staff have taken very good care of her with love and compassion. The activities department is nothing but amazing. They keep the residents busy with activities throughout the day. The residents can help with anything from gardening and walking outside to fun indoor games such as bingo, bowling and exercise class. Spa day seems to be a big hit with the ladies. They are treated to manicures and pampering.I am very grateful to everyone for making us feel so welcome. It is like a family at Ashley Court.

My mother has been a resident of Ashley Court in Brighton for 19 months and I've been so happy with her living there! I cannot tell you how secure I am in her living environment - it's a relief every single day. I am there several times a week since I live nearby and have gotten to know many of the caregivers. I have never seen anyone treat a resident with anything but respect. I am so grateful for the grace they show my mom and how they treat each resident like a special person. There are two activities coordinators who keep the residents as busy as they want to be. In building 3 where my mother resides, residents are fairly advanced with dementia but they have bowling, bingo, adult coloring, walking club, exercise, Friday afternoon "popcorn and movie" and Thursday morning food club. In building 1, where residents are more cognizant and need less assistance, the activities are geared toward them. They play more complex games, have pen pals with local elementary students, study different cultures, and are challenged mentally to keep them interested. I am alerted when there is any kind of issue with my mom; this might be if she's getting a rash, or if they think Mom is getting a cold. I have good communication with Lori, the LPN at Ashley Court, and feel confident that policies are put in place and followed. The caregivers here do not make much money at all, yet they are dedicated, loving, patient and committed to the residents. It's hard to describe my gratitude to each and every one of them. I highly recommend Ashley Court of Brighton for anyone looking for a memory care home for a loved one.

My mother has been an Ashley Court of Brighton resident for over a year now. This is the third facility she has lived in locally and this is by FAR the best of the three. First and foremost the place looks and smells clean every time I have been there. I cannot say the same for the other locations my mother has been. Temperature control has been excellent too. Not to hot or cold in the winter or the summer. Again, this was very much not true of the other facilities. We take it for granted we can control our environment living in our own place, we should not. It is a privilege to have a comfortable living space unfortunately many people do not have. They also have many activities (crafts, exercise, hair salon, puzzles, TV, etc.) which residents are encouraged but not required to participate in. The medical care my mother receives is excellent, we get frequent updates from the nurse. She has very much stabilized with the pharmaceutical program the doctor has her on. Recommended changes in her medications are communicated to us. They have helped. The help in any place like this is under constant pressure to do more with less. I don't know what they get paid, but I am certain it is far too low for the value they provide. Residents with cognitive illnesses are very difficult to care for and my family and I are SO grateful for the excellent care my mother has received over the last year + she has been an Ashley Court of Brighton resident. The grounds of are very well maintained sitting back off Challis Road with a Kensington metro park "woodsy" feel to it. When I visit I roll mom outside to the gazebo to watch the birds and other plentiful wildlife. The other places we had mom only had pavement surrounding the buildings. Last but not least the cost of the place is very reasonable for the high degree of assistance my wheelchair bound mother requires. At another facility we were paying thousands more a month for far less. I personally offered to Sharon, the site manager to speak to any prospective or current resident about our experience. For my family this place has been fantastic.

My mother lived at Ashley Court for 3 years and passed away in 2014. Our family was very happy with the loving care the staff gave to her and we will never forget their kindness.

My family and I were extremely happy with the wonderful care Sharon Clontz and the staff at Ashley Court provided my father-in-law Art Rentz. Art was very happy at Ashley Court. They gave him a warm and loving home. They treated him as if he was their grandfather. He was not an easy man to get along with, and we were worried about how he would handle being in care, I can say he was very happy and thought of Ashley Court as home. Whenever I would have any questions or concerns Sharon and the staff would address them right away. He lived there for about 3 years until he passed. We still remain in contact with Ashley Court and Sharon Clontz. We recommend Ashley Court frequently to people based on our experience. 🙂 <3

My dad was a resident for 6 months and passed away in 2006. I found the staff to be incredibly helpful and friendly to dad and to the rest of the family. Alzheimer's is horrible. It is impossible to keep everything spotlessly clean. They do the absolute best that they can considering the patients that they have to deal with. They helped tremendously with the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. Considering the familial nature of Alzheimer's, I hope that Ashley Court is around if and when I need them.
