Moving your parent to a care facility can be daunting experience. Due to an accident, we were pressured to search and select something quickly….over the Christmas/New Year’s week. I was amazed at how Brookdale staff was texting me and answering questions after hours and that Greg made time to meet my very sad father and me on such short notice to show us their beautiful facility. It was decorated for the holidays and we were there on New Year’s eve to see the dining room set up for what looked like a beautiful party. Greg was also setting things up for residents to watch the big Michigan game on the big screen. We were shown some fabulous rooms and Greg’s biggest concern was to find the best one for all my mom’s needs, with safety being paramount. I was immediately sold on this as being top notch and the care center I wanted for my mom. She’s blind and won’t see that it looks like a resort, but she will feel the warmth it radiates which matters. I saw many places this is #1

My dad stayed there for about three years. It was perfect for him -- large enough to have a variety of activities and people, yet small enough to be not overwhelming and not too far to walk for meals and events. The staff was capable, caring, and friendly. And we were able to contract for just the right amount of extra care he needed as he got older. Thank you, Brookdale

Please check the photos before you read this review (grin). This business is now called Brookdale Senior Living Solutions I had the opportunity to visit this facility as a Senior Citizen trip from Howell Parks and Recreation. Being a Brighton resident, I didn't know this place exited. I was pleased and surprised by this well established facility. Our main objective was to taste meals from area Senior Citizen complexes and this was our first stop. Greg, the sales manager is a great employee. He took our meal choices and provided us with a tour around the facility after we had lunch. Chef Tracy helped serve us and one could tell how proud she was of serving enjoyable meals for her clients. I had her egg salad, tomato onion cucumber salad, chili, ice cream or cream puff for dessert and coffee or other nonalcoholic beverages. It was delicious. We were also offered two tacos or another choice which I forgot. Tisha, the business developer had a charming professional and fun interaction with out group. Greg had a violist from the facility serenade their clients in the front meeting area while we ate in their bright dining facility. There are many activities available especially in their game room. Nice quiet library to read. Beautiful outdoor furniture to relax. So many combinations of living quarters are available, you need to contact them for the many options. This facility is pet friendly!!!!!! They even let me in! The mystery photo might look like the same floating object in the old Caddy Shack film that was a candy bar. In fact, it fooled a couple of us newbies and even myself. Was it naughty? No! It was actually their brown cloth napkin wrapped around and hiding the silverware! Shame on you for a dirty mind! I loved my stay. I enjoyed the food and I loved the atmosphere. Welcoming, quiet and a beautiful facility for Senior living options. Thank you Greg, Tisha and especially Tracey for a wonderful visit. Yes I did spill my water and miss the wonderful friend sitting next to me. That's all I needed today!

My best friend is nearly 80 and was so leary of moving out of her home of 30 plus years. After we got her settled she is so happy comfortabnle and I am very releived that she is safe and has help at the push of a button. The culture of Brookdale is so friendly welcoming even during this awful pandemic.

The staff are nice and try to be accommodating. The nursing staff are helpful and kind and do keep an eye out and will contact me if they think my family member is sick or needs more medical attention. The food as well as the staff that serves it are pretty bad. The food looks and smells like reheated cafeteria food. Ive noticed most goes in the garbage, and the staff isnt nice and can be pretty rude about any questions or requests. To the point the residence are conflicted about saying anything. I feel like food should be a priority in a senior living facility. This may be (or should be) the highlight of their day, and could even be their last meal, It should be better than microwaved fish and boiled brussel sprouts or a sandwich slapped together with only a piece of meat and cheese and no condiments or any veggies on it..

My grandparents lived in the little apartment types in the very back for years then moved to the main building where my grandfather lived until his passing. Its a nice place and the atmosphere is comfortable. Ive seen some of the entertainment they bring in for the seniors and it seemed to help lift their spirits. The staff at the front desk usually was helpful and polite. The nurses are hit or miss. Some are there to collect a paycheck, some are there that actually care. The food in the dining room, not quite sure about as my grandfather complained alot about the menu but he also used to own a restaurant so... In my opinion its quite expensive for intermittent senior care but I did enjoy visiting.

My mother has been a resident of Emeritus for close to one year. It is always a concern to have a parent enter an assisted living facility. I have been extremely satisfied with the care she receives and appreciate the effort from all the staff at Emeritus. Everyone has been friendly and courteous. I have been notified routinely if an issue came up with my mother that required my intervention. The meals are great, plenty of activities, and I appreciate the staff stopping in to visit my mother to see if she is doing ok several times a day. Would recommend to a friend.
