A beautiful campus with gardens in the courtyard. Centrally located near everything you'd need in Portland. Wonderful planned activities, field trips, parties and holiday celebrations. They have movies, visiting entertainment, various exercise classes, bingo. Another important aspect is that you are required to check in once a day and if you don't they call you to make sure all is good. AND...Jessica is there if you have questions or concerns!!

The Park Danforth is truly a gem in Portland! This vibrant community excels at creating an atmosphere where residents genuinely feel at home, supported, and valued. The staff consistently go above and beyond, offering compassionate care and attention to every individual's needs. I've personally witnessed how dedicated the team is to enhancing residents' quality of life, always respecting their dignity, privacy, and independence. Beyond the exceptional care, what truly sets The Park Danforth apart is its genuine sense of community. From engaging events and meaningful activities to thoughtful spaces designed for comfort and connection, every detail reflects warmth and purpose. It's heartening to see residents thriving, forming friendships, and enjoying life to the fullest. If you're seeking a place that prioritizes people, dignity, and joyful living, I can't recommend The Park Danforth highly enough!

I struggle to find words to properly depict the amazing The Park Danforth. Sure the facility is beautiful, the activities are wonderful and the food and dining services are superb; however, what resonates above and beyond is the community. The sense of everyone genuinely embracing one another. The contagious kindness and love from the residents toward one another and the phenomenal staff who literally become best friends to the residents. Deciding on elder care is a monumental decision. The decision of The Park Danforth was the best decision of a long lifetime.

Very nice residential community situated in a quiet area of North Portland. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is very good with a variety of dining options. There are a variety of amenities and services to choose from. I appreciated the marketing staff who went above and beyond to make the move in process and transition very smooth.

I love The Park Danforth! It's a wonderful community in the heart of Portland Maine which caters to older adults. The staff is terrific and shows a lot of heart in the work they perform. It also has a great food service program which has showcased the skill of it's food service employees with the numerous awards it won in a local Cowder and Chili challenge! You should come check it out if you're considering retirement in the near future.

The Park Danforth offers both assisted living and independent living in a modern, welcoming setting. Most of the apartments are newer construction, with the latest expansion completed about eight years ago. The team takes visible pride in the community, and there’s a strong sense of inclusion for residents from all backgrounds. It’s a thoughtfully managed option right in the heart of Portland.

My father in law lives at the Park Danforth and has for the past several years. The staff are wonderful and the safety of our parents is such an important thing when they become more vulnerable in later years of life. We cannot thank the Clarks Terrace Team enough for all that they do for us as a family and for the care they provide their residents. Thank You!!

Please accept this sincere, albeit overdue, thank you for the unfailingly, excellent quality of the care and support provided to my father, Edwin. C. Lee, during the approximately three years he fondly called the Clark's Terrace at the Park Danforth home. From the first day the now-retired Anne and Barbara escorted dad and I on a tour of the unit, to the morning in this winter when Jason called to inform me that my 95 year old dad had died peacefully in his sleep, the resident-centeredness of the staff couldn’t have been more apparent. I will never forget how Lynn took dad under her wing on Day 1 in July 2021, spending time to get to know dad during his first meal at Clark's Terrace, and making sure he received a large slice of pumpkin pie for dessert after a delicious meal. Unfortunately, I remember faces more easily than names as I enter my own 7th decade, and I apologize in advance for failing to remember the names of so many important individuals who helped support dad. Lynn, Jenn, Kris, and Gloria still come quickly to mind for their unfailing patience and support for dad, but there were so many others as well. I owe your former Executive Director, Denise Vachon, a debt I will never be able to repay, as Denise, a great friend and (at the time) neighbor, is the individual who suggest we consider Clark's Terrace at Park Danforth when it was determined dad no longer required the rehabilitation and nursing level care he had been receiving at a local rehabilitation facility. I visited with dad 2-3 times per week during his three years at Park Danforth's Clark's Terrace, and dad unfailingly emphasized how much he enjoyed living there, and the caring and competence of the staff couldn't have been more obvious to me. Best regards, Jeff Lee

This review is for Clark's Terrace, the assisted living floor of Park Danforth. My father moved in last week, and I was so impressed with how helpful and friendly staff were. We had to manage a lot of paperwork and logistics, and they anticipated problems and solved glitches on the spot. Staff also work to create a friendly environment where residents feel like they are at home. It's difficult to move into assisted living, and they made it so much easier.

All activities schedules ought to be put in one place not as it is now. Now there is a Life Enrichment Program Schedule, there is a Residential Services Schedule, there is a Maintenance of Building Schedule, there is a TV screen viewing schedule. Someone should be in charge of putting all these activities in one place for viewing especially for the new comer. If one of these activities get changed LOOK OUT it may be posted in the elevator, posted out side of meeting space, shown on TV but probably not where you may expect to find the change. It is a good problem to complain about------THAT"S IT !

My Mother made the choice about 4 years ago to move into the independent living apartments at The Park Danforth. From the moment we toured she knew this would be a great place to live. She cancelled all other appointments and made this move. The apartment was spacious for her. She was able to continue her lifestyle , just on a smaller scale. The social activities and availability are numerous. Access is fantastic throughout the facility. It feels safe. There is also covered parking available to those that live there. The staff are thoughtful in the work that they do with your loved ones at Park Danforth. I am forever grateful that my Mom made the choice to live there. If you or a family member are thinking about making this choice please reach out and check them out. It is worth it.

My mom decided to move here years ago, and she lived in an apartment until we had to move her to Clark's Terrace (assisted living) on the 2nd floor. She selected Park Danforth, just in case she needed AL. Good idea mom! This is one of many reasons to select PD. The other reasons include the residents (who are wonderful and make great table mates at dinner each night), the accommodations (the apartments are well designed and easy to furnish and navigate), the overall facility (is well maintained and the common areas are comfortable for socializing or just reading the paper), the social offerings (local shopping trips, onsite movies and games, and holiday family dinner) and most importantly the staff (there is low turnover, they are like family to my mom, they are knowledgeable, well trained, informative and caring - even the chef knows my mom's name!). I've spent many, many hours vising my mom and her friends at PD. This was our last month at PD and I will miss the staff and residents. Thank you Park Danforth- you are an important part of my family's story. Cheers!
