I had an amazing time at birch woods at canco the staff are so amazing and sweet and treat people with care and respect they deserve especially Courtney she was so sweet and kind.the people at birch woods in canco are just so amazing and so thoughtful it’s mind blowing how all the staff in there facility work together to make it feel like home it’s a one of a kind place with a one of a kind staff there are plenty of opportunities for seniors to stay buys as they put together an amazing agenda of experiences for them to do such as giving back to there communities with a array of volunteer work Amazing outings and home care birth wood at thank you for a wonderful experience

As a member of the Birchwoods team, but also someone with aging family members who may need to make the transition to assisted senior living in the near future, I can honestly say I would be pleased if my own family were residents of Birchwoods!The caring nature of the staff, the level of round-the-clock care and the fun + vibrant community, make Birchwoods a wonderful place for our residents to call home. Our nurses, staff and management team are filled with so much love, care + compassion for our residents, it’s easy to see why so many of our residents love calling Birchwoods HOME! I’ve recently spent time talking with two new married couples who moved to Birchwoods from either an independent setting or another assisted living community here in Maine, and both gave me glowing feedback of the life they are settling into at Birchwoods.They’re happy ... and that makes me happy! I’m proud to be a part of this community and helping to enrich + better the lives of the people we serve, daily!

I can say that I really enjoy my job with this Company, arriving to work and getting the residents started for the day was the most challenging, because they were never in the same mood. Giving them choices of their own seemed to help get it done faster, letting them be involved. Having a plan and staying persistent while multitasking is very important along with fast and accurate documentation keeps things together, incase of any emergency that may occur where one resident require more attention than the other. Ive learned to stay ahead of my work and use any extra time to finish up with my later in the day jobs so things will go smoother through the day. The most enjoyable part of my job is to see the smiles on the faces when my day is done.
