October 2024
Our Mother transferred from a rough two-week stay in a local hospital to Arden Courts, Potomac. She arrived by medical transport on a stretcher and did not know her family or where she was. We thought she would not live very long and wondered if we did the right thing by placing her at Arden Courts for memory care. However, less than a week later, she rebounded after receiving much positive attention, good nursing care, and frequent interaction with the staff and other residents. We were amazed that quite a bit of her memory was still accessible. She joined in daily social activities, including singing and group interactions, which were well-designed and appropriate. Although she has not discussed the food, she looks forward to the three daily meals. We can tell she is receiving the nourishment she needs since she looks much better now than when she arrived and has more energy. We chose Arden Courts because we felt an immediate connection with Susan Pinto, the MCA and staff and were impressed with the facility's well-designed layout. It is a bright and cheerful place. Although the residents are cognitively diminished, they are never tossed aside or ignored. Everything that is part of the Arden Courts experience is backed by scientific research. Although we know that our Mother's mental condition and will progress and probably worsen over time, we can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that she is safe, well-cared for, eating well, and far more active and alive than when she lived at home, virtually alone. Thank you!

Such a beautiful community! Thank you, Susan Pinto, for a wonderful tour. Susan is a wealth of information and so kind and caring to her residents. I highly recommend using her as a resource if you are seeking help for a relative or friend. I was very impressed!

I am a delivery driver and they have been a couple of times I go there to deliver mails and the receptionist Salha is so welcoming. There was even a day I went there to deliver mails and she offered me hot chocolate and muffins. The muffins were delicious and when I asked about she even mentioned they were made in house. Her welcoming and sociable personality made me ask for job opportunities but they unfortunately didn't what I am qualified for. But I will always stop by for the muffins when I am chanced

My wife has been a resident of Arden Courts for the past four years. She was diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia about five years ago and I could no longer care for her properly at home. I toured many memory care communities when I was exploring options and was so happy to find what I would consider the perfect place for my wife. Arden Courts of Potomac was also recommended by our family physician and, I must admit, that I am amazed at the progress she has made residing at this community. It is unquestionable in my mind when I see her demeanor and actions which show such improvement which are undoubtedly due to the wonderful caregivers. This is the essence of a really fine memory community. The bottom line rests with the dementia training and loving care which the caregivers show when interacting with my wife and other residents. Considering the nature and course of this disease, it is evident how socialization, movement, and providing entertainment and an overabundance of love from the caregivers and staff makes a significant difference. I visit my wife every day and at times she will recognize me with a smile but when she engages with the caregivers she is ALWAYS smiling and her arms are always extended for a hug. When leaving her, I feel comfortable and do not feel guilty that I was unable to care for her at home even with daily caregivers. You may want to ask yourself the question where your loved one would best be cared for considering their dementia and you will find that you will be very pleased with a community which specializes in memory care only.

My mom's a nurse here and when she comes home from work she always lets me know how fulfilling it is to take care of the elderly at Arden Courts. My grandfather had dementia and though it was hard taking care of him, she made it look easy. I am so glad she is doing something she is good at and can also find purpose in.

What an amazing experience to work with Executive Director, Mbide, as he represents an amazing culture as he cultivates it with his staff members (to include HR, Front Desk Reps or Caregivers). Whether you walk in as a future resident, lead generator for Arden Courts or a vendor, the staff has a very warm welcoming by means of making time to address our inquiry they are very knowledgeable. Thank you for allowing Homewatch Caregivers of Potomac to be a supporting element to your community.

My Father has dementia. He is still perceptive, able-bodied, and strong-willed, and so he required the highest level of care and supervision. When we brought him to visit other care-facilities, he would see the other residents and leave. The director, of Arden Courts Potomac, made the move-in process very easy and smooth for us. She setup a room for us, in the facility, like a dine-in restaurant. My Mother and I, along with a couple of friends, came as if we were going to eat out. When we arrived at Arden Courts, the director greeted us, and brought us to the private room, away from the other residents, that was setup for us. We ate our meal, and afterwards, the Director was able to escort my Father to his new room in Arden Courts, and we could leave; all without any struggle or drama. We were all surprised without how smoothly and easily the move-in went. It is because of the Director's responsiveness and care for our needs, with my Father, that we choose Arden Courts Potomac. It's been a couple of months since my Father has moved-in, and he has adjusted to life at Arden Courts Potomac, and even gets along with the other residents and staff.

My parent recently moved into Arden Court's memorycare unit. This rating is based on my initial impressions of the facility and the move-in experience. I've visited only once prior to move-in and found the facility to be clean and the staff pleasant and professional. The residents sitting in the dining room and tv room appeared calm, appropriately dressed, clean and relaxed. I immediately felt comfortable envisioning my parent in their company. The facility director has been responsive to our concerns regarding the move-in process and patient with all of our questions. My parent is still adapting to life there. I am surprised and appreciative of their persistence and patience with my parent's resistance to being bathed and changed. We entrust them with our loved one, which sums it all up.
December 2023
The place is nice and clean and the Director is very informative and we felt safe to leave our loved one under her care. The staff are very pleasant. On the move-in day, there was a warm welcome luncheon for us and my husband walked directly to the Director, without even knowing her before. She welcomed him and showed him around, that made it easy for him to feel secure, and was a big relief for us. We know that he is in good hands with the amazing team of caregivers, at Ardens Courts Potomac. Hats off to the Director, Beatrice, she is the reason I choose this place for my husband.

I have to say that I love the improvements at Arden Courts Potomac. Our mother has been there for over 7 years and the new manager has really spruced up things and the level of professionals of her recent hires is very reassuring as a family member. We feel much more confident than we ever have that the staff are well managed and they can focus on the safety and care of the residents. Thank you to the new team at Arden Courts!

Jheni Libongco was AMAZING to work with at Arden Courts of Potomac. I work for Interim Healthcare and we are always looking for great communities to refer our seniors to. Ones that we can really trust to give the best care possible. Thanks to Jheni's vast understanding of the continuum of care seniors need, I now know where I'll be sending all my referrals for memory care moving forward. Proud to have her as a professional contact and grateful to know our seniors our in good hands.

March 2021
My mother was a resident of Arden Courts of Potomac for almost seven and a half years. We were struck by the warmth and caring of the staff from our first tour of the building. And from that first tour until today, we have been aware of how well maintained the facility is. It is always clean. The residents rooms are always clean. And the residents themselves are clean and groomed and dressed. There is a clearly felt effort to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Residents paintings hang in the hallways. And there is a noticeable effort to maintain and update the physical premises. The care provided emanates from the top and is sustained by the nurses, nurses aides, maintenance staff, and other staff. Though there have been several changes of leadership, the organization has been able to pass down a consistently high level of performance. It is the palpable sense of caring and concern on the part of the staff that works directly with residents that more than anything that comforted me as a family member, and made my mothers journey of decline more bearable. I fully believe that the staff treated my mother and the other residents with profound kindness and gentleness. The staff takes on the tasks that can be so hard for family members. In the early years my mother was able to participate in the many activities on offer - music, dance, conversation. The staff was always sensitive to the changing needs of residents, trying to adjust activities when possible. The presence of families was always invited. We, the families, were always welcome to come and help in various ways, whether to serve snacks, or lead a song. During the months of Covid restrictions families were on the outside by necessity, but staff, in all their protective gear, remained to provide all the necessary caregiving. Their dedication through this very trying time has been remarkable. Our family is deeply grateful for the care and support they provided to my family in her final years and until her death.

I had been visiting annually for a few years, from Montreal , with my cousin who had been a resident at Arden Courts, up until her passing last week. I was comforted knowing she had the best of care. The staff were responsible and attentive. Different programs were held daily.I found the facility to be bright, cheerful and immaculately clean. It felt more homey, less institutional. When it becomes the most painful time in your and your loved ones life with most difficult decisions to make, I recommend Arden Courts. I am sure her children agree.

My siblings and I moved our father to Arden Courts of Potomac a couple of months ago based on the outstanding care my wifes parents received during the time they lived here. The staff is remarkably skilled at dealing with persons with dementia and they do so with great compassion. On several occasions Ive watched the staff deal with difficult situations and marveled at how unflappably calm, patient, and successful they are. My wife reports similar experiences. The staff appear to really know their stuff. The facility itself is clean, bright, and pleasant with a layout that gives each wing the feel of an individual home. These open to the central area and the outside courtyards. Its a nice arrangement. Our interactions with the medical professionals supporting Arden Courts has been quite positive. The doctors visit residents on-site and have done a great job keeping us informed and involving my fathers medical representative in health care decisions. Were also pleased with the practical steps these doctors have taken to make our fathers life easier.Covid-19 precautions are taken quite seriously and we feel our father is in a safe environment and looked after by a disciplined staff. While this impacts visits, it has not eliminated them and Ive had several face-to-face visits with my father in a mutually masked, socially distanced, and supervised setting in a lovely living room devoted to this purpose which had a separate outside entrance and was sanitized between visits. Staff are tested regularly and visitors have to show a recent negative Covid-19 test resultAs a consequence of these and other precautions, residents at Arden Courts are not required to wear masks except during visits. This is a huge quality of life improvement over my fathers previous residence. Couple this with an attentive staff willing to help with phone calls and virtual visits and our fathers life is much closer to normal.Skilled staff, compassionate care, nice facilities, and great management. I would highly recommend Arden Courts of Potomac.

I come into this community as a home health care provider, and of all the communities I go to I can honestly say that the care here is unparalleled. The staff and nurses truly care for the residents and go out of their way to make sure they are engaged and safe. Their response to the COVID pandemic has put incredible safety measures in place while trying to maintain resident connections to their families. Contact Louise, take a tour, and know your loved one is in excellent hands.

We have had a wonderful experience at Arden Courts. My mother has been there for several years and the care has been outstanding. The nurses and aides get to know and care about the people who live there. They also give great support to family members, calling if there is any issue, no matter how minor. It is not easy to care for people with dementia but the people at Arden Courts are patient and loving. We have been happy with them.
April 2020
My mother resided at Arden Courts for several years. It is a wonderful facility. The staff is thoughtful and caring. They have been working under very difficult circumstances during the pandemic. Before the Covid crisis they arranged lots of great activities for the residents. The food is excellent and the facility is clean. My family made a great decision when we decided to move Mom to Arden Courts.
