My mother has been at Hart Heritage about 6 months. Hart Heritage welcomed my mother under some very difficult circumstances. We had to move mom prematurely from a local rehab center because of poor treatment. Hart Heritage welcomed my mother and worked hard to help mom recover from her many issues as a result of the rehab. The staff works hard. Like all assisted living facilities in the area, they struggle with manpower issues, but do a good job all things considered. I do feel the food could be improved a bit.

The staff was caring and compassionate and worked quickly to register her, get paperwork and medications in order and her room set up. The transition was made a bit easier by the bright and homey atmosphere. The staff cates for her like family. I highly recommend this reasonably priced and well managed facility.

Both of my elderly parents have been in Hart Heritage in Forest Hills for the past 8 months. One parent was recovering from a stroke and wheelchair ridden with moderate dementia, the other is in good physical shape but was starting to show signs of dementia. Finding an assisted living facility where both could live together was no small task, most of the facilities (we looked at over a dozen): 1) didn’t offer dementia care, 2) separate my parents into different areas of their facility, dementia care or regular assisted living care or 3) would locate both in the dementia care area, which we thought was not fair to the one with only slight dementia needs. Then we checked out Hart Heritage in Forest Hills, MD. Hart Heritage would allow both parents to stay in the same room and the facility was not broken into care types. The rooms are large and in excellent condition and there were no nasty smells to be found. My parents say the food is great and one parent has even put on a few extra pounds . The staff is very kind and cheerful, which makes me feel they enjoy what they do. The staff works well with the residents and makes them feel that they are part of a big family, which is very nice to see and hear. I would highly recommend Hart Heritage for any type of senior care, from regular assisted living to end of life care.

These have been troubling times for any Care Facility in the United States with Covid 19 stretching and challenging leadership and staff. Both Leadership and Staff at Hart Heritage has risen to the occasion and far exceeded our expectations. As related to my beloved mother-in-law, who entered in late 2020, with a very poor outlook on life and people. We have been astounded how this was turned around 180 degrees by the LOVE and CARE provided. After a second health issue in 2021, a week hospitalized and six weeks in a Skilled Nursing Facility, we held little hope for her recovery. We know the staff at HH were also very concerned. Short of calling this a miracle, my mother-in-law, upon reentry has once again responded to the LOVE and CARE provided through their Leadership and Staff. They are respectful and considerate to all residents, as noted by our many visits, even to those that are "difficult". My humble opinion; this is clearly a function of their Director, Sandy, Nursing Director, Terri, Health Aide Coordinator, Danielle and many more support personnel. To include their Maintenance Manager, Patrick and finally to their Receptionist of many years, who has great awareness of all, Susan. What an amazing group of long term employees all demonstrating "brilliant" long term care skills. Incidentally, my mother-in-law loves the staff, food, activities, and facility. Reminds her of the setting for TV Series "Bonanza". She also has many opinions of the Skilled Nursing Facility where she was a patient, those comments will remain muted. Finally, I am not related to this organization nor have I been compensated for this review. It is Just1 person's perspective and experience. We thank the Hart Heritage Organization for their care and love. We will continue to pray for their efforts in meeting the needs of their many Senior Residents. Thank you.

Hart Heritage in Street Md is warm and cozy. The inside feels like home with subdued lighting, and many homey touches. Not cold, bright and strike looking like other facilities we were accustomed to. It is nestled in a beautifully landscaped country setting. The cows next door are often times close to the fence for a visit. The staff is attentive and very caring. I am very happy we found Hart Heritage for our Mom. She seems so much more at ease there. I could continue to sing their praises, but w ant to make this brief so purple will read it. If you are looking for a place for your loved one, check them out!

While he was there, my father was well cared for, and he was treated with the utmost dignity and respect. Everyone went out of their way to make him feel at home. For dinner one night he had shrimp scampi and a week later, he was served crab cakes. Over the past few months, Dad has been in several different facilities for various reasons, and between all of them, he liked the food here better than any of the rest. Tish even bought him strawberry ice cream, just because its his favorite flavor.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, Value Going through the process of selecting an assisted living facility or in this case, a new home for our loved one, was difficult. There is much to evaluate and learn in order to feel you have made an informed decision. Our family did not take this lightly. The team at Hart went above and beyond in answering our questions and addressing our needs. They were actively engaged, educating us and offering solutions to make the move as smooth as possible. They listened and so did everyone involved in the transition of care for our loved one. Our family member is a now happy resident at Hart Heritage, Forest Hill. The staff is truly caring and compassionate, they are considered friends. Our loved one is thriving; has new friends and experiences to engage in, loves the caregivers and worries less about life. They feel secure with their new extended family and we do too. We could not ask for more.

Wow, never thought I’d find such a place from friends telling me of what they have experienced with their parents. My first priority was a clean place. Have been in some and they just aren’t as clean as we are. This place is! It is always pleasant smelling, the corners are clean. It has carpeting! There are common areas on each floor for gathering in front of the TV or just chatting. There are recliners for folks everywhere! And then there is the staff! They are all so pleasant and friendly. They truly care. The food is good. Mom wasn’t eating so well until she came here! We could have spent about 3 times as much on a not so nice place but were really blessed to have found Hart Heritage. PLEASE don’t decide on where to put your parent(s) until you check this out. You will be very impressed.

We moved my Dad into Hart Heritage yesterday, and we have been overwhelmed by the support of the caring staff. The Marketing Director, Kim Cooke has gone above and beyond to help us get Dad transferred, and was amazing when we had to jump through hoops to get a specialty medication approved. The nursing staff is available and attentive. His Caregivers on all shifts have fussed over him like hes a family member. The Dietary specialists make sure he eats. The building is modern and impeccably clean. Every effort is taken to make sure the residents are comfortable and safe. We are looking forward to a long relationship with these lovely people

My 83 yr old mother is in assisted living at Hart Heritage. It is a small privately owned facility with reasonable pricing. The staff makes an effort to know all of the residents, not just care for them. The residents don't just sit in their rooms. Their days are well structured with PT, OT and activities. The rooms are very nice. The atmosphere is more "home like" and not institutional. I am very happy with the care that my Mom has received so far.

My mother has been at Hart Heritage for around a year now, and our family is very happy with the care and support mom receives here. The staff is courteous, professional, and caring. The facility is clean overall and moms room is well maintained. We always have a family member with mom at least three times a week. Mom is 91 and they treat her very well and include her in daily activities. She eats pretty good for her age. Her health is looked after by the nurses and they answer any questions we have and they show us they care. I like that they try to provide a well rounded activity for the residents, We receive a newsletter and the family is asked for any input to the both the newsletter and activities. Mom loves the bingo and the rosary meeting that is offered. Our family would definitely recommend this facility for an elderly family member. The staff in the dining area and kitchen are very friendly and look after mom if she is not eating, they have even substituted a meal if she did not like what they were serving. The maintenance staff is also good. I also love housekeeping once my mom s blanket was missing and housekeeping searched another floor and they found it. No big thing but they showed they cared.

The care givers at Hart Heritage are compassionate, caring and professional. Hart provides an environment that feels more a family atmosphere than institutional. The staff is friendly and caring. The facility and rooms are kept very clean. The food was very good. Hart is set in a peaceful suburban setting that makes it pleasant. On the financial side, Hart was very clear and did not try to charge for “extra” services. It was easy to reach and talk to the Hart team. Overall, my family and I all agreed that Hart provided excellent care for my Mom.
