My mother has been living at Shangri-La for over four years. Everyone who works there is kind and has empathy for the people living there.Shangri-La is relatively small, and does not have the resources of larger facilities. It is much less expensive than most other assisted living facilities.The facility has worked very hard to keep everyone safe during Covid. They had a few cases back in May, but no resident has gotten ill since then.

Shangri La was a caring home for my mother-in-law, and now my mother. The caregivers are friendly, and the nurses and medicine staff are knowledgeable. In addition, the manager of Shangri-La works with the families of the residents to ensure the residents are comfortable. The residents enjoy balanced meals in a dining room where they talk to and meet people with their own interests. There is also a TV room and an activities room where the residents pass their time. If you are looking for an assisted living facility for your loved one, Shangri La is a facility that you should contact.

My mother lives happily at Shangri-La Assisted Living in Ellicott City. She loves her room, her friends and her caregivers. I am her daughter and I am always impressed with the great care and kindness of the staff. It is the goal of the director and staff to keep the residents safe and healthy. Every precaution was in place during the quarantine. I feel that my mom is loved by the staff at Shangri-La. Thank you all!

My mom has been well cared for. The staff has been very attentive to her needs, and management has been super quick to respond to family any time that we have had a question about her status or care. We are grateful that Shangri-La early on instituted many procedures to safeguard residents and staff from Covid-19.

My dad lived here the last couple of years of his life and they were happy, peaceful years! Thank you Shangri-La for making his transition easy for all of us and for being a loving, caring environment to our whole family!
