I just can't say enough positive things about Samaritan Home Care & the especially the owner Marcia who is the heart & mind of this genuinely caring eldercare agency. Marcia's business acumen & genuine CARING presence & ability to effectively communicate with compassion, empathy & intelligence is rare in this field. After a year of trying other agencies, one in which an aide stole money from my parents & the agency not only did nothing but ghosted my calls & emails, I found my happy match! Marica shares my critical thinking skills (with respect to having the foresight to spot potential snags & issues) which is a breath of fresh air & she mindfully collaborates to make all of this challenging caregiving time run smoother as I also care for my Mom as well. Trust me this is NOT the norm with elder care agencies or their staff! This is a business owner who TRULY cares about her clients., her dedication to the personal & professional growth of her staff is unlike anything I've experienced. The other day my Mom had a doctor's appointment that I was unable to attend & the aide Cassidy went along with my mother after getting her up & ready in the morning. She did such an outstanding job that even the EMT's commented that they'd never seen as attentive an aide as the care she was giving to my Mom during the long appointment getting her to the bathroom, getting her water that has to be thickened. It's been hard for us to trust after that one negative experience with another agency but Samaritan has redeemed that experience for us tenfold!
