I started at Aria as part time receptionist, during the COVID , I was skeptical being high risk, the team was very reassuring and the safety precautions for the staff and residents have been impeccable. the ongoing testing is reassuring and the fact that we have been able to receive the Covid vaccine has been a huge sense of relief..I have been apart of the Maplewood team for 5months , I very much enjoy working here. I look to forward to my continue my employment within this community. My direct boss Doreen is great to work for, I think that our Director Kim is also great to work for, I have learned a lot from both of them. The engage life staff does amazing , making sure our residents have things that they can participate during these uncertain times

My Grandmother moved in this past May and I am so Happy at how they kept her safe from Covid. The staff are super friendly and they made sure that everyone followed all the rules in place for COVID. They even give the residents masks when they need them. I am so happy that my family decided to move her there.

A family friend recently moved in to Maplewood Place and she absolutely loves it. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive and the management seems to be on the ball. My friend was isolated at home and has already made a handful of friends. She feels very safe and I am happy to see her doing so well.

Ive been working here at Maplewood Place for 4 years. I have to admit at first I was nervous, but then as time went on my residents made it easy for me they are so loving, friendly and just great to talk too. My job is to make them happy and if I can make them smile by me being silly, then Im doing my job right, plus everyday is a new learning experience for me as well. I love my Atria Family ♥

My grandmothers experience at Atria Maplewood Place has been very rewarding and pleasant. This is the happiest I have seen her since my grandfather passed away. She has made some friends that could last the rest of her or their lifetime. She is happy living her independent life in the privacy of her own apartment when she prefers. The positive changes that I have witnessed are an increase in her weight due to the constant and variety of nourishment that they provide, a positive attitude, her aches and pains have diminished dramatically due to improved eating habits and patterns including weight gain which has also made her stronger and independent (not using her cane as much). This is a place with an amazing staff from the wait staff all the way to the top administrators located in Malden MA. I am happy, we as a family decided that Maplewood Place is the best fit for my active 84 year old grandmother, especially after Covid-19 hit. Although it was difficult to physically be with her during quarantine. The reception staff jumped through loops and got very creative with keeping the families up to date and arranging some private visits once they were able to. During such a frustrating time in everyones life Maplewood Place really made the process seamless of which kept all of us at ease. Thank you to all of the staff for being patient and eager to please and especially for taking care of our families! I would highly recommend it.

I enjoy living here at Atria Maplewood Place. I have been here for 4 years. At the moment, there are protocols that are in place for the quarantine that are difficult to accept, but I understand that it has to be done for the safety of the residents and theyre doing a great job.

I visited my aunt for the first time this week. Attractive, well maintained facility. Had a rather good lunch in the dining room. The lovely new director stopped by our table to introduce herself and chatted with us. My aunt really enjoys living here.

Atria Maplewood Place is a great place to live. Ive been here 2 years this coming November. Ive enjoyed my stay for many different reasons. The staff and residents here are amazing to me and it feels more like a giant family living here. I enjoy staying busy and active, at my age it is very important, and the Engage Life Department has provided me with many opportunities to do that.

Maplewood Place is a wonderful community full of compassionate and caring employees. I know this as my mother has been lovingly cared for here for 21/2 years now. I cannot come up with enough accolades but every department puts their best foot forward every day from the culinary, personal care, range of entertainment all the way to the impeccable cleanliness. If there is a saint here on earth it has to be Lana Pina, the Life Guidance Director at Atria Maplewood Place (AMP), Malden, MA. Grace (my wife), and I selected AMP during Jan 2010 and moved my Aunt Mary & Uncle Bill into their apartment early in Feb 2010. Bill had some medical issues and was moved into Life Guidance during Aug 2010. Bill can be very cantankerous at any time, but Lana always had him under control. He was very well cared for in the Life Guidance unit. During 2011, the Mary's Alzheimer's disease increase to a point where she was moved into Life Guidance with Lana. Bill was move out to Engaged Life. Lana, and her Staff took excellent care of Aunt Mary. Mary's condition worsened and we finally had to move her to a nursing home. The saga continues. During 2013, Bill's attitude and temper were becoming a problem. It was decided to move him back into Life Guidance with Lana. Again, Lana has Bill under control. We cannot say enough about how Lana, and her Staff, took care of my Aunt & Uncle. They were always clean and well dressed. The rooms and the common areas in Life Guidance are always spotless. We believe there is already a place in Heaven reserved for Lana Pina. (It appears this web site will not allow me to enter another special Staff Member at Atria Maplewood Place, so I will add it to this review.) We believe Atria Maplewood Place has another hidden gem. His name is Larry Tatum, the Van Driver. When visiting with Bill we have never seen him (Bill) speaking with or interacting with another male resident. It appears the only male friend that Bill has is Larry Tatum. About every five weeks Bill has a medical appointment at Lahey Hospital in Peabody. Bill is confined to a wheel chair. I meet Larry and the Van at the hospital and stay with Bill during these appointments. Larry picks him up and takes him back to Maplewood Place. Larry is always on time for these appointments but more importantly Larry is always joking around with Bill. They get along well together. I mentioned earlier in this review that we had to move Aunt Mary to a nursing home. Fortunately it is located within a few miles of Maplewood Place. When the timing is right, Larry would take Bill to the Nursing Home to see his wife. How can anyone put a value on these acts of kindness. In our mind, Larry is a hidden asset at Atria Maplewood Place. What we have written here must not detract from the many other fine Staff Members at Atria Maplewood Place. My mother is thriving in this loving safe environment. I believe it was one of the most beneficial decisions of my life to place her here. Since she has dementia I find that Josie Bisek's activities department is OUTSTANDING not only for my mom but all the other residents as well. Her team is always coming up with new activies and social events to keep their minds working. They even had a wedding vow renewal service this week for two residents. Amazing.

I love living at Atria Maplewood Place. All my wants and needs are met there. The staff is fantastic. I love going to the dining room for meals. I always sit at Sally Lafauci's table. She is always pleasant to talk with. She knows before I do what I want before I do. If not, she'll recommend something I like. When I go out in the van, Larry Tatum Happily greets me and takes me where ever I need to go. It sure is wonderful to feel taken care of by the staff here.

Maplewood Place is a wonderful residence for my Dad. He has friends among the residents AND friends among the staff. He is watched over, cared for and entertained with love, compassion, respect and humor. Every member of the staff helps make the place great .from the smiling front desk staff - Louise, Joan, Jenn and Julia; to Jimmy and his cooking and serving crew; to the nursing staff of Lisa, Lena and Olen; to the cleaning staff (Lailani in particular) and the activities team of Josie, Larry and Doreen . Though I wish I could name all the employees that work there, I have to admit to recognizing more faces than I can put a name to. They may toil in anonymity, but I want to say that I do appreciate each and every one of their efforts. I would like to especially recognize the efforts of Larry. His humor, lightheartedness and joyful optimism make everyones day EVERY single day he is there. The man is a treasure. He brings silliness and laughter everywhere he goes! My Dad treasures Larrys help, compassion and attention. Also, I think Doreen and Julia should get kudos for their effort to bring color into the residents lives as they spend hours doing manicures (and inhaling the fumes that go with the job!). The residents are always so pleased afterwards! It is a little action with a big and personal impact! Thank you Atria Maplewood Place (under the watchful eyes of Anthony and Holly) for the peace of mind you bring me and the care you give my Dad!
