While an assisted living placement for my husband ultimately did not work out, if I had to identify the one person that helped me so much in this investigative process it was Meredith Ware, Director of Community Relations at Haverhill Crossings, Haverhill, MA. She provided me with a tremendous amount of information about the facility as well as the general process of finding a placement; which can be a daunting task at best. She was welcoming, readily available, thorough and professional. While I can’t comment on the actual care at Haverhill Crossing, our tour of the facility was excellent and given Meredith’s hands-on approach, I feel confident that she would have handled any adverse situation that inevitably arises with the care of elderly dementia patients, with efficiency, flexibility, dignity, and respect to all concerned.

I could not be happier with the staff and the level of care that Haverhill Crossing provides for mom. The atmosphere that she is in allows her to live her best life. I am comforted knowing that she is kept safe and attended to. It allows me a sense of peace that I otherwise would not have.

Haverhill Crossings is a welcoming community where seniors can flourish. The caregivers are amazing and work as a team to provide the best care to their residents. I have to say up front that I have never been to the facility and we placed my dad elsewhere, hence the four stars. We chose a place in NH because that is closer for us to visit him. If we had decided to keep him in Mass, this was a top consideration. The reviews were great, but the really big thing for us was how wonderfully kind and helpful Meredith was and is. She really bent over backwards even though she knew that there was a chance that he would be going to NH. CHECK THIS PLACE OUT as you make your decisions.

My grandmother has lived there for close to 2 years and is well taken care of. I would highly recommend it. They have many great activities and wonderful amenities for the residents.

My father recently became a resident of Haverhill crossings. From the very first day the staff, the administrators and everyone in between made the transition as painless as one could wish for. He has adjusted tremendously. In fact at times he prefers not to go out for a visit to one of his family members but would preferred to stay put. I only wish we could have transitioned him sooner. He had lived very nicely independently for quite some time but we felt for his safety this was the best option. He absolutely is enjoying himself on a daily basis. Everyone seems to know his name and overtime he is learning the staffs names as well. The facility itself is kept incredibly clean. The food is absolutely fabulous. He has already put on over 5 pounds which we are delighted about. Absolutely no negatives exist at Haverhill crossings.

My brothers and I are thankful every day for the care, respect, and personal attention our Mom receives at Haverhill Crossings. We realize that each family's experience is unique, however, for us, being part of the Haverhill Crossings' family (and that truly is how we feel, like family) for several years now has provided incredible peace of mind. Choosing to move into Assisted Living was a process for Mom. Knowing that we had thoroughly researched all of the available options (and were confident in our choice of Haverhill Crossings based on that research) made the transition easier for all of us. And, when it became apparent that Mom needed the structure and services of memory care, we were so grateful that she easily could remain "at home" by transitioning into The Harbor at Haverhill Crossings. I live 1,000 miles away from Mom, making it particularly important and comforting to me to know that she is surrounded by people who understand her needs, limitations, and personality. My brothers and I view the staff at Haverhill Crossings as valued partners. Together, we are doing the very best we can to help Mom achieve the best possible quality of life.

I was raised in Haverhill and have had strong connections to this city all my life. Haverhill Crossings will be celebrating it's 20th anniversary in 2018. I can't say enough great things about the culture, camaraderie, and compassion of their staff and residents. It is truly a gem and the city is fortunate to have them as a provider of exceptional care to our senior citizens.

OUR RED HAT GROUP WAS INVITED FOR A TEA. THE STAFF IS SO PLEASANT. THE TEA WAS REALLY NICE WITH DIFFERENT CHINA TEA CUPS AND THERE WAS ENTERTAINMENT BY A GENTLEMAN (ERIC MCFADDEN) WHO PLAYED THE KEYBOARD AND SANG SONGS HE KNEW EVERYONE WOULD ENJOY AND PLAYED SOME REQUESTS. CHERY TEFFIT SEEMED TO BE THE PERSON IN CHARGE; SHE IS A VERY PLEASANT PERSON AND SO ACCOMODATING. WE GOT AN INVITE TO COME AND PLAN ANY EVENT WE MAY NEED A ROOM FOR. THIS RETIREMENT IS LIKE A DREAM. IT IS SO PLEASANT WITH LARGE PICTURE WINDOWS AND FOLIAGE GALORE. THE RESIDENTS EACH WELCOMED US AND THE OTHERS WHO WERE INVITED WITH NICE SMILES. I SAW ONLY HAPPY SMILES THERE. A VERY CLEAN, IMMACCULATE PLACE.
