My mom has been living at Carmel Terrace for 6 months now and is so happy! She has three healthy meals a day, the main meal being served in the dining room with table service. The food is delicious and she'll usually bring juice or coffee and fruit back to her room. She has her own apartment style unit with a separate living area with small kitchen efficiency, a bedroom and full bath with walk-in shower (complete with pull cords). My mom participates in activities, including book club, knitting/crocheting, sing-a-longs, guest pianists, movie nights, etc. She has made friends with whom she can share her stories and listen to theirs. The staff at Carmel Terrace are amazing! They are willing to listen to any questions or issues, quick to make sure everyone is comfortable and well adjusted. We have peace of mind knowing she is safe, cared for and has friendships.

My father has been at Carmel Terrace for about 6 months. The process to book a spot for him was easy because of the thorough job done by the admissions office. We have found all of the staff to be very caring, efficient, and thorough. It was a hard decision for my father to move from his home, and I am confident that we made an excellent choice in Carmel Terrace.

My mom became a resident in February 2020, just as the pandemic was starting. Even though I only get to visit in person a few times a year (I live in CA), I chat with her several times a week. CT was such a find! My sisters and I love this place, as well as my mom! The staff works so hard, and my mom is so happy and engaged!She feels so blessed to be here, and we couldn't agree more :~)!!

It is truly a place to be. The staff is excellent and wonderful. The sense of a loving, caring community is evident through out. The residents care about one another and have formed a nice community. There is alone time and opportunities to get together.

It has been a year since we moved my mom to Carmel Terrace and it has turned out to be one of the best decisions that we have made. My mom has not only adapted to her new residence, she is thriving! Anyone who knows me, knows I can’t say enough good things about Carmel Terrace Assisted Living Community. I so enjoy the amazing staff, the awesome residents and the sense of community. The peaceful location and setting is beautiful, and the change of seasons can be seen from every room. The interesting speakers, entertainers and daily activities keeps the residents involved and active as much or as little as they chose. The personalized services, the staff interactions with their residents and their family members is such a pleasure to see. The connections I have developed with both the staff and residents have kept me coming back as a weekly volunteer for over 5 1/2 years!!!

I cannot write enough good things about the apartments and people who manage things here. Apartment quality is good. Leasing staff is excellent, always ready to help. Community is very peaceful. Walking distance to the shopping complex with stores like Ralphs, Rite Aid, Trader Joes, Ross, Sprouts, Michaels etc. The best thing is the Maintenance staff, always spot on, fix, replace things for good. Special thanks to Doug for all the help during our stay here..

My fiancé and I absolutely love living in Carmel Terrace. We love Carmel Terrace because its quiet, safe, beautiful (complex is always well maintained), and feels like a small community. The leasing office and maintenance team are very friendly, professional, responsive, and accommodating. They always keep us informed with their prompt communication. Also, its so convenient to be in close proximity to shops, grocery stores, restaurants, and freeways.

Overall a good place to live. The last couple months was a constant issue with hot water in my building. The boiler stopped working about 4-5 times in a 3 month time span. Didnt seem like there was enough hot water to go around. Id get what seems like 5 min of hot water a day. Since Im active and my career is working with animals I take multiple showers a day. My last shower would be lukewarm at best. I only take a max 10 min shower and thats on occasion. I like cold showers but not when its cold outside which has been the issue. Parking is also hard to come by near my building as well. I would love assigned parking spots. The maintenance crew is great, staff is friendly. Ive recommended this place to a couple friends. My only issue is the water and the parking.

I dont ever use google reviews, but here I am, Carmel Terrace in Poway is just too good Edit: After I reviewed this place they still treat me with respect (they arent just in it for a review, theyre there to help). Wonderful place to live! Well kept and maintained! The staff is so friendly and kind, they treated me like family! Never had a maintenance request take longer than a day, and every job was fixed to perfection. I love how they have food trucks come out almost every Thursday, and they had the cutest events, like handing out breakfast to people as they drove out to work in the mornings! Highly recommend.

I have to say Carmel Terrace has been a fantastic place for me to live with so many amenities within walking distance. I train and travel extensively throughout the year and it is the best feeling knowing that I can always return to a comfortable, well managed property...with a fireplace!

Seems like a decent place. Didnt find any roaches in the unit when I inspected. UPDATE: Spoke with the owner who said that pest control would take care of any pests should they be found (different than what I was told in person from a separate employee). Perhaps there was just a miscommunication. To avoid future miscommunication, Id recommend prospective renters get the most current pest control policy in writing for reference. Owner I spoke with on the phone was very nice and cordial.

I initially contacted Carmel Terrace since I saw they did not have a breed restriction for Siberian Huskies! If you are a Husky owner then you know that it is sometimes hard to find a place. From my very first phone call, I was blown away with how attentive, and kind the leasing office staff was. This has continued throughout our experience as residents now with every person we have spoke to. The complex itself is clean, and there are dog waste bags stations scattered throughout. Our unit was very clean when we moved in and it was made clear by the leasing office that if we need anything looked at, even if its minor, to give them a call. The area is really convenient being close to the freeway (however you dont hear cars, at least where our unit is located) with literally all you need within walking distance. Grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc. They have a gym, and 3 pools that are all very well kept. I highly suggest this place if you are looking for a new home that is quite affordable compared to other places that are in the area.

Great place to live. The appartment was clean and with no issues. Very quiet location and friendly neighbors. Everything what you need is walking distance. Always available parking spots no matter the time of the day. Best part is office and maintenance stuff, always helping, trying to make things work better and faster!

Ive been living here about a year now and I love how efficient the office staff and maintenance team has been. Every issue has been resolved in a timely matter. Michelle, Felicia, Marcella, and manager Tara have been super helpful. I would recommend this community to anyone looking for a cool place to live.

Amazing apartment complex. Everything from my tour, to moving in, and now living here has been seamless and awesome. Doug who assisted me from the start really went above and beyond to make sure everything went great. The grounds are kept clean and beautiful, Ive not had any issues with parking and the community is very quiet and peaceful. The complex is in an amazing area with a lot of shopping and restaurant very close by!

I currently moved into this complex with my two roommates and its been awesome! I want to say a great thank you to Frank who is one of the service repair men. Frank is awesome and super friendly. He fixes our problems in such a timely manner and very knowledgeable in what hes doing. The whole staff is great and very welcoming.

Perfect location... Doug was able to help me over the phone so that I made the trip from Orange County to see this enchanting community. We were met by Felicia with her inviting smile and professional manner. She gave us a tour and stayed after hours to ensure we were able to get the unit we wanted. Michelle assisted me on many occasions to make sure we were happy with our new home. Lastly, the community manager Tara made sure that all of my requests were accommodated. All of these wonderful experiences led to us moving in. This is why I recommend making Carmel Terrace your new home!
