From my very first phone call and throughout the several weeks of planning my mother's transition from home care to Charter Senior Living, we received outstanding guidance from Robert, the Senior Sales & Marketing Director. He made what could have been an overwhelming process feel manageable by answering every question and providing support every step of the way virtually most of the time. Once my mother moved in, the entire leadership team continued that same level of excellence. Dawn (Executive Director), Ryan (Office Manager), Deanna (Health & Wellness Director), Dianne (Sales Counselor), and the reception staff”both day and night embraced our family with kindness and professionalism. Every request or concern we had was handled promptly and thoroughly, with no detail overlooked. The community itself is warm, welcoming, and intimate. The grounds, resident rooms, and common areas are beautifully maintained, clean, and inviting. The elegant circular seating area at the front entrance has the feel of a grand hotel, and the peaceful wooded walking path quickly became one of our favorite features. Most importantly, my mother feels comfortable, safe, and cared for and that has made all the difference for our family. The nursing staff and CNAs are genuinely compassionate, friendly, and attentive. Knowing she is surrounded by people who truly care gives us tremendous peace of mind. Choosing a senior living community is never an easy decision, but Charter Senior Living in Dedham is exceeded our expectations. We are incredibly grateful to the entire team for making this transition such a positive experience.

I write this review as the daughter of a new resident. If I could, I would give more than 5 stars! My mother was previously in another memory care for 18 months. We did not do our homework and it turned out to not be an appropriate fit. I ended up working with an advocate and she was amazing. She listened to our story and knew to schedule tours at places that would be potential good matches. After 3 (one on my own) we went to Charter. We met with the Robert Lavelle, the Sr. Sales and Marketing Director. Immediately I knew he was caring and a listener. He asked questions and put me at ease. He sincerely wanted to know about my mom and our past experience. He felt Charter could be a place that my mom would thrive. He took us to see the community and speak to some of the staff. By the time we returned to his office I felt this was going to be the place my mother could spend her remaining time in a community of compassion, knowledge and sincerity. I did go and visit one other place and it only made me feel more confident Charter was the place. Robert and his teamI’m thankful and grateful to all. They really go above and beyond. During one of the most difficult times for both me and my family, the Charter Senior Living in Dedham provided comfort. My father had spent a significant period of time within a behavioral facility in Southern Massachusetts and transitioned to this location. Specifically it was Dawn, Emily, and Lilly who were both incredibly knowledgable and supportive during the process. Despite his condition, my father is clearly more happy and fulfilled with the environment at Charter Senior Living. Especially given that the Memory Care unit is personalized, it truly is the ideal space for my father. All of the staff were able to clearly outline the daily care routine for my father in a calming manner. Since my dad has always been quite an active person, I am grateful that he has been involved in daily exercises since moving into Charter Senior Living.

They were incredibly informative, patient, and compassionate, taking the time to walk me through every step of the process when everything felt like it was spiraling so quickly. They explained things clearly, answered every question, and made an impossible situation feel manageable. I came to this community before to see if this would be a good place for Mom. I wasn't impressed with the overall greeting or staff. This past week I decided to come back because they could have had an off day. I will say I was so pleasantly surprised. When I walked in I felt so welcomed. The food smelt great and residents were so engaged with each other. They were ready to talk to me without an appointment. I am still deciding but I see Charter Dedham in a new light.

#1 Choice! Upon entering the Charter Senior Living facility, there was a sense of being home. It is a very welcoming, warm, bright, and well maintained facility. All of the staff know my mother by name and are always so happy to see her! Greeted by Ellie, at the front desk, brightens everyone’s day. The very pleasant, John and his food service staff, always have my mother’s soup and drink ready for her when she arrives. She loves the food and the variety of choices offered. Vinny, the chauffeur, is always willing to transport any resident anywhere, anytime. The activities that are offered are exceptional. Lauren & Danalie are always present and willing to play any games, do a multitude of activities, and join in on the outstanding live entertainment. Bingo is my mother’s favorite! The caregivers, Lou and his crew, are extraordinary and very professional. They tend to all the needs that my mother requires. Nurses, Jessica & Astrid are remarkable. They are always available to accommodate the residents. Director Dawn, has brought much joy and happiness to this home. She is so upbeat, caring, and always so friendly and accessible to everyone’s needs. Our family is very grateful to Charter Senior Living for making our mother feel comfortable, safe, and very happy in her new home! We would highly recommend Charter Senior Living and could not of asked for a better home for our mother! We definitely made the right choice!

Exploring uncharted territory with Assisted Living with Memory Care was made less anxious due to the admin staff at Charter. Presentation of what was offered, type of staff, facilities all true & in many cases better than what I was told. In time, I might sign myself up! I are very grateful to have found Charter Senior Living of Dedham for my mom. I knew instantly when I walked in the door that it was different from the others. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Clean and beautiful. And not overwhelming. It has a cozy feel. The staff is fantastic! Emily was our "go to" (and still is) cheerfully answering all our questions and guiding us all the way! The day I brought my mom to her new "home", the staff laid out the red carpet and gave her the biggest welcome. It was amazing! The residents have been considerate to the newbie and my mom enjoys being a part of the daily activities. The aides are wonderful too! Very kind and treat my mom w/dignity. I am comforted knowing she is safe, engaged, and well cared for!

We are so happy with Charter Senion Living. Yes, it is in Dedham, my hometown, so it is very close. But the most important thing is the wonderful staff--from the Director down to the housekeeping staff. Jesica, the lead nurse, is fantastic. She was instrument on getting my brother settled there. Emily, who helped us overcome numerous obstacles with my brother's move, was extraordinary. Even after the move-in, she continues to be there to respond to questions. The house keeping staff and food service folks are great. They do their jobs well and have a supportive attitude. Most importantly, we are very happy with everything. Note, this is only the second five-star review I have ever given.

We are SO grateful to the staff and management of Charter Senior Living of Dedham for ensuring the safety and comfort of my mother for over 3 years and to the residents who welcomed and befriended her. Their care and support made all the difference. They went above and beyond in making sure she felt welcomed and liked. It's also noteworthy that the facility recently underwent a high end renovation and looks amazing! The chefs and kitchen staff are very skilled and accommodating. The maintenance crew takes care of all your needs from fixing the toilet to putting up curtains. The nurses and aides are very attentive and professional. It's impossible to thank everyone but I want to make special mention of the Wellness Director, Jessica, and the General Manager, Brian. Last but not least, the receptionist, Bonnie, who my mother absolutely adored! THANK YOU CHARTER!

Mom and dad both in memorycare (flourish) are cared for by very loving staff. Dad passed in a dignified and caring manner recently. Hospice worked seamlessly along with regular staff. Mom is now confused and they use all their knowledge to get her through. Thank God for Charter House.

I'd give more stars than 5 if I could!!! The staff in the Opal Memory Care facility at the Linden are wonderful in all areas. Last week, my wife, who is a patient, had visits from 3 separate groups of people. They ALL contacted me afterwards and told me how impressed they were with the care, compassion and love that the staff gives to the patients. They also commented on how nicely the facility was maintained and how CLEAN everything is.

I've lots of personal family experience with nursing homes, assisted living and the diagnosis of dementia. The Linden at Dedham is very good. My family member has resided there for almost 1 year. The leadership team at Linden is excellent. Covid has been extremely difficult for all of us. Whether it was at work, at home trying to educate our children or caring for our parents or grandparents. My family member has been married 63 years and never have they been apart for such a long period of time. Linden has done tremendous job managing the clinical side of Covid but also being transparent with communication and working with families to avoid contact, because that is the right thing to do and exceeding expectations to provide family members alternate methods to communicate. Heather the Manager for the memory care unit is compassionate, thoughtful and shares really nice ideas on how to make our family member feel connected without having contact. In the middle of the Covid surge, for my family member's birthday, she went above and beyond, on her day off, to coordinate the celebration and worked with the staff so my family member could open gifts via facetime with her family, playing videos we created and decorating her room. I genuinely believe my family member thought we were all sitting in the same room. It was fantastic. Elaine, the Nurse Manager, is always quick to respond to questions and provide follow up. I have been impressed with the nurses. Specifically,. LaDonna is kind, genuinely cares for each resident and is so good about reporting her concerns or needs of a family member. Danielle, the Director of the Facility, is responsive, takes feedback seriously and will promptly address concerns. The memory care has excellent program coordinators. Ashley and Nicole are energetic and work to keep the residents happy and involved in activities. Sometimes my family member just needs "some time" and they will just sit, rub her back and share stories. These moments cannot be underestimated on the importance of caring for someone with end stage dementia, Overall the nursing assistants are good. Some are outstanding, I am sorry, I don't know all their names. My family member lived in the same home for almost 65 years, she was "never going to leave". When dementia took it's grip and we had to seek 24 hour care I never thought she could adjust to calling Linden home. After a day out and having dinner with the family, when I bring her back, the nursing assistants will greet her. Most often, my family member will greet the assistant with the biggest smile and hug! Now, these individuals are like family to her. That's when I know it is ok! For any family who is going through the very difficult journey of looking for alternative care for your loved one, I would not hesitate to recommend Linden. No facility will ever be good enough for a loved one, but sometimes we have to make difficult decisions. You can be assured that Linden at Dedham is an excellent option.

My mother has been there for several years and loves if. Keeps her social and honestly alive. We brought her home for several months and found she spent 16 hours per day in front of the television, sleeping and just downright depressed. Now she goes and goes and goes - walker and all. If she watches an hour of television a day, it is a lot. She is turning 90 in May and very happy. They go on field trips, have daily exercise classes, play bingo and other games, wine and cheese and entertainment. Her life is full and she is thoroughly cared for. Excellent facility and staff. couldn’t be more pleased.

We could tell from the get-go that the team at The Linden goes above and beyond to create a wonderful environment for their residents.
