When we were looking for a place where our mom could live independently in an apartment but have the services necessary to keep her safe we looked at a number of assisted living communities. Most have nice facilities, a variety of services and well maintained accommodations. We chose the Arbors in Chicopee because it was large enough to offer the services she needed and the diversity of activities to keep her active. Other places were so large we were afraid she would get lost, both in terms of finding her way around the place as well as being lost in the sheer number of people in the facility. After being there for two months we are confident we have made the right decision for our mom. For someone who really did not want to be there initially she has adapted and now throughly enjoys her new living environment. While the Arbors is a nice facility, what we have come to learn is that it’s the employees that make the place so inviting. Everyone is friendly, outgoing, and helpful and SO focused on the residents. We are constantly amazed at how everyone there will drop what they are doing to help the residents or answer a question. Employees go out of their way to provide assistance and make sure she is included in activities. They are also very responsive to her needs as well as the requests from her family. When this behavior is so pervasive it has to be part of the culture. We would highly recommend the Arbors in Chicopee to anyone considering an assisted living community.

It can be so difficult as a beloved family member ages and declines to know how to best help them. When our mother needed more care and could no longer live on her own we searched long and hard to find the correct place. From the moment we walked in the door we knew we had found the right place when we went to visit the Arbors. It feels as though you're stepping into a luxury hotel or resort. All the staff are unfailingly polite and kind. There are activities multiple times a day 7 days a week. The staff is always there to prompt mom to go down for her meals if she doesn't show up or to ask her if she wants to go to the activities. They check on her throughout the night to make sure she's safe. And the meals are served in a beautiful lovely dining room. It is the best possible place I could imagine for my mother. I highly recommend it.

I’ve been working for the Arbors at Chicopee for almost 4 years. I can honestly say that it is the most wonderful place I have ever worked. I truly love my job and all my co workers.. I’ve never felt so appreciated and cared about as an employee as I have these past few years working there. I highly recommend anyone looking to work for an Assisted living facility to apply at the Arbors. It’s not only a great place to work, it also feels really good to know you make a difference in the lives of the residents who live there.

My mother moved from another state to the Arbors after a medical emergency. As you can imagine, it was a difficult and disorienting transition, but honestly I couldn’t have asked for a better Assisted Living than the Arbors. The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful. In particular, everyone has worked so hard to ensure that my mother got settled, came to activities, and learned about all the amenities. The lovely staff have helped her to feel safe and at home. The activities are wonderful! There is so much going on, something for everyone. As a caregiver, I’ve felt supported through the whole process, and my mother has the assistance that she needs while also having her own apartment, so it’s just the right blend of independence and necessary help designed for her. The building itself is beautiful too. We discuss all the time how happy we are that my mother is at the Arbors.

Very grateful for the Arbors and the diligence to keep the residents all Covid free! Its been difficult not seeing mom, but her safety and health is more important. Staff has taken over some of the things we would have done for mom - thats been appreciated!

My father has Alzheimers and lived in Reflections, the memory care part of the Arbors. Julie, the Reflections director, has over 20 years of experience and is an angel. I could not ask for a better person to take care of my dad. The staff are all experienced with memory care and are patient and compassionate. They keep the residents engaged and busy and take weekly trips for local dining and activities. My dad especially loved the therapy dog that visited. Arbors also made me as the family member feel welcome and at home there. We both became part of the Arbors community. I recommend it highly.

The Arbors at Chicopee has been a great place from my Mom. My Mom has been at the Arbors for 2 years now. She has been in Reflections for the last year. The reflections unit has been very attentive to my Mothers needs and adapted to what she requires. All the staff at the Arbors are extremely friendly and continually keep us informed of all activities going on. I would without a doubt recommend this facility to anyone looking for a safe, comfortable place for their loved ones.

Mom has been at The Arbors for six months and everyone here is so kind, caring and attentive. Mom has a lovely apartment and she has furniture from her home which makes her feel like shes at home! And, she now calls The Arbors home!!! There are so many daily activities. I am at peace knowing that Mom is in a safe environment and she is happy here! We definitely made the right decision to make The Arbors home for Mom!

My mother in law did not want to move from Her home. After two weeks at the Arbors she has acclimated well. She is happy to See us but not sad when we leave. The staff has been great and the other residents are good company for her. She is busy all day long and sleeps well at night. We all sleep well at night too

After taking my mom out of two so called skilled nursing homes and a locked dementia unit in another assisted living facility we found the Arbors Of Chicopee to be superior. Dementia has taken a toll on our family. We are grateful for the Reflections unit,Julie and her loving staff. My mom is treated with respect and dignity that all suffering from this disease deserve.
